Chapter 1: Prologue
Hunger... intense pain course through his stomach. His head felt dizzy.
"When was the last time I ate I wonder?" He woke up from his bed and habitually walk towards the window. It was already late at night. He shifted the curtains and let the light moonlight enter his room.
He felt intense pain in his abdomen. He needed his assistant to change his schedule or he won't be able to cope up anymore. He reached out for the spectacles he always kept by the bedside table.
"How many times will I have to tell the maid to not touch my things? Dammit!" He grumbled. If he was not feeling so hungry, that he couldn't sleep. He could have guaranteed that he would have never bothered to wake up on such a bad day.
He fumbled his way towards the kitchen.
"I am seriously going to fire that maid." He couldn't find anything to eat in the cabinet except for some water bottles. He drank a glass of water, still angry at that irresponsible maid for neglecting her duties.
He was about to turn around and call his assistant to send something to eat when he found some dishes on the table. Maybe he forgot to eat in the evening, he mused.
Although, he felt the smell of the dishes somewhat dubious but he was so hungry that he could eat literally anything now. After eating his fill, he wanted to return to his bed to get some sleep.
He found he stepped on something. Sitting down, he touches the smooth texture of his spectacle. How did this get here?
After putting on his spectacle, he sighed in relief. Finally, he could see clearly now. His house was in a mess. Papers and books were littered everywhere on the floor. He reached out to pick a paper to see if it was something important.
He froze. His hands were stained red. "What did I touch?" he began to wonder if there was any wet paint lying around.
He suddenly thought of something and his heart began to beat fast.'Nah, I am probably imagining.' he began to console himself. He inspected his body to find a large sunk of meat missing from his abdomen. Bile rises through his mouth thinking of the dinner. He rushed towards the bathroom sink.
He came to stand like a statue in front of the door which revealed the body of a female lying in a prone position submerged in a bathtub of bloody water.
His legs felt weak. He couldn't hold it in and fainted right after.
