Chapter 29: Journal #5: On the Road to Gansa
Recorded by the Principal Scribe, Toruaz Rozkamoro (an excerpt from his journals)

Today is when we depart for Gansa. I am boarding on a private palanquin with the Sijarkes and her regent Du Quam, my old friend, Nubejul Tavhaii. It is a little difficult to put some words down. We are hoisted upon the backs of eight men. The terrain is not even, and the Sijarkes had found it mandatory to bring with her a pillow fort even with the given circumstances
As for the Du Quam regent, he'd been nodding along to her stories for a while now. You don't always hear a first-person account from a Domma herself. I also believe he'd been accustomed to that sort of thing, having been a resident of a temple occupied by old Quams. There were only a small percentage of his age, and none of his caliber.
When I saw him stand by the Sijarkes' side during the inaugural address, I felt as though I have not accomplished as much as him, and though I may have my reasons as to why that is the case, I know that this jealousy will get me nowhere. He had given me this spot and I ought to use it to my advantage.
I have a goal I must adhere to; I have the regent's support. Thus, I must win back my citizenship at all costs. I must return with my mother to our motherland before I grow old like Uncle. When I allow myself to grow old, there will be little I can do.
I am not unfamiliar with Gansa. I've been there before when I was young, on a stop-over visit with my mother and uncle. A nation by the river of life—I'm not surprised how it is very much sought after by its neighbors.
The people are strong, but they do not compare to the Order's forces. They want to join its leagues and receive the Dommes' favor. I had this thought also: what if the Tirkju'a had put off his visitation to Gansa to buy time in instating the Sijarkes in their region? Had he planned to acquire Gansa as well into the Domminical Order?
There can be no answers for that now. But I still feel as though we were not meant to come there. It could just be my imagination, my nerves aren't always the most reliable in times like these. I often doubt myself.
I know for sure that Gansa is a nation on the brink of falling apart. Not by their own fault as I've observed in my studies with uncle and the accounts from my associates. It is something else. There is something else at play of which I would not wish to get involved in if I could have a say.
I would have liked to discuss this further with the regent, but he seemed adamant not to be shaken in his resolve, which does him credit. I simply felt as though there should've been more discussions on this issue.
I will have to see what happens next.

This is a confederation that exists under the watch of the Dommes of the land, headed by the Parrhadomme, the Dove. As defined by Oxford Dictionary, a confederation (also known as a confederacy or league) is a political union of sovereign states united for purposes of common action. These are the regional settlements for each Domme, though their judicial, executive, and legislative powers are not limited to such borders:

Eloh Morica: Domme Avigrijer
Cussarossia: Domma Lugsoranno
Urbedaur: Domme Tirkju'a (or the Domma Sijarkes)
