Chapter 3: Battle of Geonosis Begins

Amidst the desolate expanse of Geonosis' sandy terrain, Mace Windu and Count Dooku stood locked in a tense standoff at the edge of the execution arena. All over the arena, Jedi warriors brandished their lightsabers, holding back the tide of Geonosian assailants.

"You will be brought to Justice Dooku. You are outnumbered!" Windu declared with his purple lightsaber extended toward Dooku.

"Old friend, you are mistaken, it is you who is outnumbered." Dooku calmly retorted.

As the tension mounted at his words, a swarm of battle droids surged forth from the shadows, encircling Windu and his fellow Jedi.

Noticing the appearance of the droids, Windu warily backed up, glancing around, he could see his fellow Jedi fighting against a multitude of droids in the center of the arena.

Pew!

Pew!

He masterfully blocked the red beams shot by the droids with his purple lightsaber, until suddenly Jango Fett in his Mandalorian armor appeared, spewing out fire from one of his wrist gadgets.

Windu immediately did a long backflip into the center of the arena and landed with an alert gaze.

Beep!

Beep!

Just as the battle seemed poised to escalate, a sudden interruption pierced the chaotic air—the shrill beeping of Windu's comlink. Instantly, the droids ceased their assault, their mechanical movements halting as all eyes turned skyward.

High above, a Fleet of Acclamator-Class Star Destroyers, flanked by an imposing Venator-Class vessel, descended upon the planet's atmosphere, their presence casting a shadow over the battlefield.

Even Dooku, renowned for his unshakable composure, regarded the approaching ships with a wary gaze. As tensions hung thick in the air, Windu raised his hand to his comlink, answering the incoming transmission.

"Master Windu, this is Revan. Gather all Jedi to the center of the area." Came the monotone voice from the comlink.

Windu's brow furrowed slightly at the unexpected communication, but he quickly recognized the name. Revan—a name whispered in hushed tones among Jedi circles, spoken of in reverence and awe.

He rarely showed his presence at the Jedi Temple, and only Master Yoda ever consistently conversed with him. The only time he's ever present, is a few times at Jedi Council meetings, but Revan usually remained silent, or simply didn't attend.

Despite his initial skepticism, Windu's trust in the Force compelled him to heed Revan's call, "Understood." He replied briefly into the comlink.

"Gather in the center, Jedi!" Windu's voice boomed across the arena, cutting through the tension. The assembled Jedi, though uncertain, complied with Windu's directive, converging toward the designated spot.

Anakin voiced his concern, his tone laced with apprehension, "Master, I don't like this. It feels kinda wrong to bunch up like this."

Obi-Wan added to his Padawan's sentiments, his own lightsaber poised for action, "Indeed, Master Windu. This doesn't bode well. Something feels amiss."

Windu's response was cryptic yet reassuring, "Patience, my friends. Trust in the Force."

As the Acclamators slowly passed overhead the arena, their inaction perplexed the Jedi. It seemed they had a different purpose, one not aligned with the Jedi's current predicament.

While Dooku himself sensed the imminent threat posed by the Venator, he calmly assessing the situation. His gaze fixated on the imposing vessel, a harbinger of impending danger.

Until suddenly, the Venator's bay doors slid open, unleashing a swarm of Gunships that descended upon the arena. Yet, rather then approach, they hovered at a safe distance, leaving the Jedi below unguarded for the moment.

Dooku's resolve wavered, his intent to eliminate the Jedi momentarily stalled by an unseen force. Even Jango Fett, ready for battle, hesitated in his attack.

Nonetheless,  Dooku's expression hardened, "Quickly eliminate all the Jedi!"

However as he stood rooted to his position, his eyes widened, as a surge of power entered his senses...

A few dozen seconds before Dooku could issue his fatal command, Mace Windu stood at the center of the arena, his focus divided between the impending threat and the urgent instructions coming through his comlink.

"Maintain your positions. Coordinate with the Jedi to Force-push the droids back." Revan's voice resonated through the comlink, authoritative yet composed.

Windu's brow furrowed momentarily at the directive, but he trusted in Revan's words, "Remain in formation! Prepare to push the droids back on my mark!" Windu commanded.

The Jedi around him nodded in unison, their resolve unwavering as they formed a tight circle, bracing themselves for the impending assault.

With a synchronized gesture, they unleashed a torrent of Force energy, pushing the oncoming droids back with a powerful telekinetic wave. The metallic assailants tumbled backward, their advance momentarily halted by the Jedi's united front.

"Maintain position." Revan's voice echoed through the comlink once more, a reassuring presence in the midst of chaos.

Just as the Jedi began to catch their breath, the sky erupted in a cascade of blue beams, raining destruction upon the droid forces below.

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

Reacting with instinctive swiftness, the Jedi raised their hands, forming protective barriers with the Force to shield themselves from the onslaught.

The onslaught ceased as quickly as it had begun, leaving behind a scene of devastation. Amidst the swirling dust and debris, the Jedi remained unscathed, their defenses holding strong against the barrage.

As the smoke cleared, the Jedi surveyed the aftermath, awestruck by the extent of the destruction wrought upon the droid army. Not a single enemy remained standing, their metallic bodies strewn across the battlefield like discarded husks.

Above, a squadron of Gunships descended in a circular formation, their arrival a welcome sight to the weary Jedi below. Clones emerged from the vessels, taking up defensive positions around the perimeter, their vigilant gaze scanning for any lingering threats.

All the Jedi slightly relaxed from the sight of allies as they could finally get in a breather.

Windu's gaze shifted toward a figure emerging from one of the Gunships, a masked individual, robed in black, and adorned in gleaming golden armor, his presence in the Force, quite distinct.

He instantly recognized Revan, as he was the only Jedi known to wear armor and a Mandalorian mask.

"Master Revan." Windu greeted with a nod as they approached each other.

Revan acknowledged Windu with a brief nod before turning his attention to the task at hand, "How are the rest of the Jedi?"

"We've sustained casualties, but your intervention spared us from the worst, Your actions saved countless lives, Master Revan. You have my gratitude."

Soon after, various Jedi expressed their thanks, as Revan simply observed the familiar faces among their ranks, including Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Master Plo-Koon.

Revan's powerful capabilities was no secret among the Jedi, as Yoda himself praised his skills, not to mention the Jedi Council themselves witnessed his abilities when they promoted him, yet some still regarded him with a mixture of curiosity and respect.

Similar to Ahsoka, they could feel the overflowing aura he emitted, something they found comforting, this was also why he was held in high regard in the Jedi Order, it displayed his deep connection with the force, something that not even Grandmaster Yoda had accomplished.

While he didn't show himself in the Jedi Temple as much, he would still help many Jedi in their endeavors, be that on a mission, or simple advice. And now would be his first time, actually meeting the main cast, not including the Jedi Council who were the ones who granted him his rank.

"Thank you, Master Revan, I'm not sure I'd be alive if it wasn't for you." Plo-Koon commended, extending his hand in gratitude.

Revan accepted the handshake, before remarking "We both know it would take much more than this to take someone like you down."

Plo-Koon silently smiled at his response.

As Ashoka exited from a Gunship, Plo-Koon's surprise was evident, "Ah, Little Ashoka." He greeted warmly, acknowledging her presence beside Revan.

"Uh, hey, Master Plo-Koon." Ashoka replied with a bashful smile, standing close to Revan's side.

Plo-Koon's gaze shifted between Ashoka and Revan, aware of their new bond as Teacher and Student.

But before he could speak further, a sudden shout cut through the air.

"Clankers incoming!" A clone trooper warned, opening fire on the advancing droids.

With a sense of indifference, Revan swiftly assessed the situation, "We must retreat for now. Everyone, into the Gunships."

Plo-Koon nodded in agreement. "Agreed. Let us make haste." He replied, leading the Jedi toward the waiting Gunships.

As the Jedi hurried into the safety of the Gunships, Revan remained steadfast, ensuring everything was going smoothly.

The few surrounding clones with mini-guns would continue to shoot their mini-gun, as they gave cover for everyone else's retreat.

However, as the clones started to retreat back, some were unlucky as they were shot in the back, their lives instantly snuffed out.

After observing for a few moments, Revan silently took note of a few clones, as he waved his hand, and telekinetically pulled them into Gunships, finally at the end, he entered his own Gunship.

The door slid closed behind him, as he spoke to the pilot, "Let's go."

"Copy that!" The pilot swiftly raised the altitude of the Gunship, with the rest following suit.

Some Gunships showed signs of damage, but their durasteel frames held strong.

Inside the Gunship, Revan surveyed the faces of familiar Jedi—Anakin, Obi-Wan, Plo-Koon, Windu, Ashoka, and others.

"Master Revan, do you have a plan?" Obi-Wan's curiosity echoed from behind.

"Indeed, we should be landing shortly. Once we do, I'll brief everyone," Revan replied, glancing over his shoulder.

"We need to capture Count Dooku and end this war swiftly." Windu asserted.

"Our pursuit of Dooku is what perpetuates this conflict." Revan countered, maintaining his calm demeanor.

"Perhaps, but defeating him now could save countless lives in the future. Sacrifices today could prevent greater losses tomorrow. Would you not agree?" Windu's conviction was palpable.

But, Revan simply remained silent, as the Gunship eventually descended.

As the Jedi disembarked onto the sandy ground, they noticed the extensive military array—AT-TEs, Falchion Tanks, Walkers, and legions of clone troopers stretching into the horizon in a single line.

"I really do think we should attack, with the amount of reinforcements we have, capturing all of those cronies will be easily done." Anakin mentioned from behind.

Revan disinterestedly glanced toward him, "For now, let's focus on getting the wounded to safety." He replied, eyeing the Acclamator's ramp, busy with activity.

Approaching him, a blue-clad clone delivered a casualty report.

"Commander Bang was killed defending one of the Jedi with his life, 5 Clone Privates also died, identified by, CT-6891, CT-5257, CT-8732, CT-3452 and CT-6023." Commander Zephyr finished, he was one of the few clones that had his own name currently, so reading out his brothers numbers because they didn't have a name, slightly bothered him.

Revan absorbed the information, his expression unreadable.

"Understood. Ensure the troops are prepared for any counterattack." He instructed, watching as the clone departed.

"Let's proceed." He then led the Jedi atop the large ramp, and into the hangar.
