Chapter 10: Ch 10 : Another deal

" By the way, here. A meeting gift for the two of you!"
Seth said as he handed the two girls on his side something that was covered by white clothes, much to the two delighted expressions. They quickly thanked Seth and proceeded to open the gift.
In the beginning, Vice Admiral Tsuru was not concerned at all with this gift from Seth. But when she eventually saw what was inside, Tsuru's eyes widened in shock.
Heck, she even took the thing directly from Tashigi.
" This…. "
There's just no way. What Seth had handed to both Tashigi and Isuka was too good, and Tsuru couldn't believe her eyes. On her hand right now was a beautifully crafted katana. The skillful craftsmanship of this sword was so good that it could even reach the grade sword's level. However, that was not all to it.
On the blade of the katana was engraved a dragon type painting, and it made the Katana look very special.
Normal people might not be able to appreciate the greatness of this Katana, but Tsuru obviously didn't belong to that category of people.
She turned toward Seth as if trying to ensure her guess.
" Yes, this is indeed what you think. A grade sword enhanced by the engraving the one for Tashigi is called izuminokami, while the one for Isuka is Phenex. But the two are by no means any normal engraving. The master that made the engraving owed me a few favors…..
Then with a smile on his face which made Tsuru's face twitch a bit, Seth easily said:
"So…. I asked him to use his best skill for these two swords."
The scenario was like this. From the beginning, Seth had decided that he wouldn't reveal that the maker of his sword was him. Getting it from a secret and mysterious person, wouldn't it increase the prestige and the price of the sword as the sword maker could just disappear without a trace one day?
Of course, there were some marines who couldn't fully trust Seth's story. But since Seth's family was a merchant and had no trace of criminal activity, they had no choice but to buy into Seth's reasoning. They couldn't just catch a civilian, wouldn't they?
Hearing this, Tsuru turned silent for a while. It looked like she was contemplating something hard.
In the end, she opened her mouth as she made a new offer to Seth.

Almost a month had passed since then. Currently, Seth was sitting at his desk, trying to get more expertise about his devil fruit. With the brush in his right hand, he started scrabbling.
The past month, Seth had decided to leave Tashigi and Isuka with tsuru to train. The last offer that Tsuru made was by giving a marine a sword with the same quality that Seth had given to Tashigi and Isuka; she would fulfill one of Seth's selfishness. And that's where it all began.
Seth happily entered the deal with Tsuru, and as for the request, he asked tsuru to give intensive training to both Tashigi and Isuka for two months. The current him might have a lot of money, but one thing he didn't really possess was a good training method, and that's where Tsuru's role comes to play.
Now that one month had passed, Seth couldn't wait to see their progress. However, it seemed that today wouldn't be as calm as the previous month.
A knock sounded from the door that led to Seth's room, and when the door was opened, an aid revealed herself before she suddenly whispered to Seth.
"Young Master, it is about Alabasta… It seems that there is some problem is Alabasta right now."
It was widespread that even though Seth had broken his engagement, his feeling for princess Vivi was still there. It couldn't be blamed though; after all, Seth had tasked his subordinates to pay close attention to Alabasta, and it had made this kind of rumor spread around.
The aid was one that had been close to Seth since he was a kid. Almost all the recent affairs that Seth had were handled by her.
"Hmm… it is okay… After all Alabasta should still be able to survive. But it seems that interacting with the marine was the perfect choice as it also possessed some deterrence toward Crocodile." Seth murmured. He has a certain understanding of Crocodile, and Crocodile is not the type that likes to do uncertain things.
The fact that Seth was close to the marine should make him think twice before attacking Seth directly. However, this deterrence wouldn't last forever as Seth knew if he was pushed to the corner, Crocodile could do some crazy things. Furthermore, it didn't mean that Crocodile wouldn't play some underhanded trick to test the water.
" Young master, is everything okay?" the aid saw Seth was contemplating hard and became a bit worried.
" Ah, sorry. Everything is fine. Just follow my previous instruction."
" But…"
" It's okay. Everything will be fine!"
The aid seemed to want to say something, but seeing Seth seemed pretty unconcerned about the situation in Alabasta, she could only swallow all her words down the throat.
If the young master was unconcerned, then everything should be okay, she thought.
" Rather than that, how's the situation of our sales in the four blue seas?" Seth changed the topic.
As of now, money was a lot more important than the Alabasta. The debt that he owed to the system had only been paid about 50%, and the rest would have an interest of 3% each month. Therefore, Seth was in quick need of money. Of course, everything could easily be solved if he just borrowed money from his parents, but that was not what he wanted.
Recently, Seth had heard that his parent's business was also under attack from some smaller merchants. The attack at first was pretty insignificant, but with their insistence, this could hinder his parent's business and cause some trouble later.
Obviously, this was all under Crocodile's scheme. But right now, Seth was still lacking in some parts if he wanted to get rid of Crocodile in one full swoop.
