When I set foot on foreign soil, I truly felt the reality of leaving.

Lorne contacted specialists to diagnose and treat me, arranging my hospital admission.

During chemotherapy, he took care of me in every possible way, down to the smallest detail.

The handbook was filled with meticulous records of my medical data, along with various precautions.

Everyone at the hospital envied me, secretly asking about my relationship with Lorne.

"He's my brother," I would say.

The night before I was discharged after finishing chemo, Lorne got drunk and stood in my hospital room, hugging me.

He buried his head in my chest, whining:

"Alec was right."

"I like you, Elowen."

His pent-up emotions exploded in that instant, and I was completely stunned.

I never thought he would actually confess his feelings.

After that day, things became awkward between Lorne and me.
