Chapter 52: Backbone

"Please no! don't let my hand go" Tears rushed unapologetic down my face as I screamed out those words.

I couldn't really pinpoint what was happening but all I could clearly confirm is that I hanging from a cliff, a very tall cliff. And I was holding a hand tightly in desperation. I couldn't see the owner of the hand I was clinging to. A form of a dark shadow was cast on the person's face, making it impossible for me to identify who the person was.

"No, I'm slipping. Don't let me go" my hands seemed sweaty making it lubricated enough for it to be slippery. But I noticed something, even though my hand was indeed slippery, it seemed like the person was also contributing to me slipping out from the hold. He or she made no effort in trying to drag me up to the surface.

Before i knew it, before I could let out another word. I was falling, falling to my death.
