Chapter 10: Chapter Ten: Welcome to Call of Duty!

Chapter Ten: Welcome to Call of Duty!

"Soldier, get on your feet!"

"Quick! Run!!"

Price ripped off his gas mask grabbed the panicking Dumb Little Sister and shouted.

Nearby, burst water pipes soaked their bodies.

The Dragon's Breath shotgun in his hand had been knocked over, lost in the chaos.

But Dumb Little Sister couldn't care less about picking up any gun.

The moment Price pulled her up, she couldn't hold back anymore, tears streaming down her face.

And she wasn't alone in her emotions. Watching the live stream, other streamers and viewers were also in a panic.

The missile came too suddenly.

Despite the ominous background music that hinted at danger, most people thought it might be another enemy ambush.

No one had anticipated that the game would start with a literal hellfire missile!

This indescribable shock reverberated in everyone's hearts like a giant bell ringing.

While others were merely frightened, Dumb Little Sister, fully immersed in the experience, was experiencing an adrenaline rush like never before.

According to the bodily data displayed on the side, her heart rate had skyrocketed to two hundred.

"Oh damn... A Sister, stop dawdling! Get up and run, damn it!"

"Run like hell! Hurry up!!"

"Oh damn, what the hell... This game is insane, damn it!"

"I get it now, you need to wear diapers before playing this game, otherwise, you'll pee yourself like I almost did."

"My palms are sweating. Please don't let this be a scripted kill again."

"My sanity is crumbling, the immersion is too strong..."

The viewers, just by watching, felt the panic deeply, their eyes glued to the screen.

Meanwhile, Dumb Little Sister didn't even have time to wipe her tears. She followed Price, scrambling and crawling.

As the team reached the stairs of the cargo hold, another explosion thundered.

The sudden blast shook their surroundings, mixing hot flames and cold seawater splashing onto their faces.

Dumb Little Sister's legs gave out as she fell to the ground again.

This time, the bottom of the ship was hit by two hellfire missiles in succession, tearing apart most of the hull.

Sea water quickly flooded the cargo hold, causing the ship to tilt severely.

The previously upright walls now leaned over, ruptured pipes spewing warm cooling water onto Dumb Little Sister's face.

She struggled to get up, but one foot was trapped by a fallen pipe, preventing her from escaping.

The water had already risen to her thighs, visibly rising rapidly.

The fear of drowning engulfed her, and for the first time, Dumb Little Sister felt true terror.

"Help me!!"

Unable to free her trapped leg, she screamed at her teammates with a trembling voice.

Hearing her cries, Gates, who was ahead, rushed to help. He handed the computer he was holding to someone else and dove over, desperately pulling Dumb Little Sister's leg.

It took him a while, but Gates finally succeeded in freeing her, then grabbed Dumb Little Sister's shoulder and shouted, "Run!!"

Without needing further encouragement, Dumb Little Sister, her breath forgotten in her nervousness, struggled to move, clutching the handrail beside her.

A few seconds later, the bottom of the cargo hold was completely submerged.

The ship's tilt became more severe, and by the time Dumb Little Sister reached the second floor of the cargo hold, she was almost crawling along the ceiling.

"Quick, come this way! Hurry!"

Seeing her struggle, Gates released her and jumped into the helicopter.

Price followed suit.

As Dumb Little Sister tried to jump into the helicopter from the deck, the ship suddenly lurched, causing her to slip and only partially make it into the cabin.

Before she could even finish her plea for help, Gates, who had jumped in just before her, saw her slipping and, unable to reach her in time, pointed to Price, who was facing away from her.

Price swiftly turned around, dropped the gun he was holding, and reached out, grabbing Dumb Little Sister's arm.

"I got you! Come on!"

With a strong pull, Dumb Little Sister was finally pulled into the cabin.

As she stood up, trembling with fear, she looked back at the sinking ship, almost entirely submerged by the raging waves.

"Quite the ride, huh?" Price patted her shoulder, but Dumb Little Sister was too drained to speak, shaking her head unconsciously.

"Everyone on board, we're out of here!" Price commanded.

"Roger, heading home."

As the helicopter lifted off, the tense background music slowed its pace.

Dum-dum-dum!

Heavy drumbeats, like the pounding of a frightened heart, rhythmically filled the air.

Then, the screen gradually blurred and turned black.

Two seconds later, a title appeared in the center of the screen:

"Welcome to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare."

Seeing the title, Dumb Little Sister slumped to the ground, completely drained, filled with relief.

Now, she couldn't hold back her tears anymore, crying and laughing as she wiped away the tears and snot from her face, feeling relieved and foolish.

Behind the screen, the streamers and viewers all let out a sigh of relief.

However, five seconds later, a prompt appeared on the screen:

"More storyline content locked. Please purchase to unlock."

Seeing this, Dumb Little Sister and the viewers had no angry reactions, but rather an expression of resignation.

For a game of this quality, it would be strange if it didn't charge a fee.

"Of course, this game requires payment. Buy it! Let's see who dares not to buy it!"

"Who's the developer? Never heard of them."

"Shut up! Take my money and go!"
