Chapter 3: Meet the System
"Well…" the three goddesses exchanged side glances then Maria continued "we are creating a new universe".
"okeeeey" replied Tim apprehensively "what does that have to do with me?".
"you will be its god" replied Xiang earning a glare from Maria and a face palm from Gaia.
"Xiang" started Gaia "can you be any blunter". (auto correct told me "blunter" is a word… wow)
Maria noticed his confused look and decided to go for broke "the universe we are trying to create will not be directly influenced by anyone other than you".
"we will assist you in its creation but that's about as far as it goes" Gaia said "Maria will provide the initial universe, Xiang will fill it with one type of energy of your choice and I will provide the first world to your specification".
After a minute "ok" heard the goddesses "so let's talk about what you need me to do".
"It revolves around certain factors" Xiang started.
"First you need to fill your universe with energy" Maria said "you can do this by opening paths to other universes. To do this you need to be reborn in those universes. This way you create a direct link as you will always be linked to your universe".
"Then you'll need life" Xiang said "I mean you can be the ancestor to every creature in your universe, but I imagine it would take a while to fill a planet".
"You'll also need to learn the laws of existence" Gaia picked up the conversation "or create a pantheon that does. Then you can be a full-fledged god"
After a moment of contemplation Tim asked "How many laws are there?"
"No idea" said Xiang "the laws of existence can go from the law of rock to the law of creation".
"That is the law you will need to master" Tim heard God "that is the most difficult law to master and till now only three beings in the omni-verse learned it to mastery, us".
"And how am I, a mortal man, supposed to learn any law of existence?" asked Tim.
"We'll help" said Gaia "I'll give you a sys-"
"GAMER" interrupted Tim excitedly while surging and holding her shoulders. Face only inches from her own.
"y-y-yes" replied Gaia meekly.
"Fufufu. Ototo-kun" Tim heard from behind as he broke into cold sweat "maybe you should calm down" he could only nod stiffly.
*cough*"Anyway" Xiang interjected "I will gift you the library of heaven path"
Xiang: 'wait for it'
"WHAT!!"
'There it is' Xiang thought "hehehe who do you think I am? I am the omni goddess Zhang Xiang" she said as she stood up paced her hands on her waist and puffed he chest "bow to me mortal".
Tim however chose to simply ignore her and turn to Maria "hey, don't ignore me"
When Maria saw his eyes filled with stars looking at her, she could only apologise "I'm so sorry to disappoint you Tim, but I don't have a specific system to grant" she thought to see disappointment but instead she got a look of intrigue.
"What do you mean when you say specific?" asked Tim
She perked up at that and looked proud "while I don't have a specific System to grant I can give you a custom one" she looked back at Tim only to see the stars return and if possible shine stronger 'ah, there it is'.
"So if I ask for a great sage with devour you can give it to me?" Tim asked while bouncing like a kid.
"hehehe" giggled the goddesses. Maria continued "sure, just tell me what you want the personality of said sage to be".
Tim contemplated for a second "Can I be the template? And can it merge with the other two systems?"
"Sure, but why you?" asked Maria
"Well, I probably won't make many male friends" he answered sheepishly "but I will still have a dude with me and give me the "talk" when I need a guy's opinion".
"Of course" Maria said with a calm smile "anything else to add? You can customise the system as it will combine the three"
"Then Can I get a shop tab in the Gamer system?" asked Tim "and add books to the drops from enemies? Also upgrade the grate sage to Solomon?" Tim started listing off like a kid in a candy store.
Gaia however decided to address an issue "Tim, I'm sorry to say but I will have to alter the gamer system to prevent you from gaining system points from actions like exercise and reading"
Tim didn't look bothered and simply asked "why?"
"If you spend your time in the library then your intelligence will just shoot up like crazy, also since you have Solomon you will gain a lot of wisdom points for no apparent reason for making the right decision" she took a moment before continuing "And that's without counting the fact that in your universe you. Are. GOD"
"I see" replied Tim with a contemplative look "so how are we making up for this?"
Gaia took a moment and then a look of inspiration dawned on her face "I know, you will still have the points from level up but each level up will add, at base, one point to each stat. also your skills and abilities will add to what you get each level up".
After a moment Xiang nodded "That adds up. You won't be broken OP from start, but after a couple worlds, or even one, you can steam roll everything"
Let it be known that Tim is a calm and collected man and is not in any way a LOON… even if he was smiling like one. (Google Speed-o'-Sound Sonic smile)
"That balancing is at the quality of riot's balance team…" Maria shook her head in mild exasperation "Never mind, now that that's done there is something more we can give you, but you will have to give us something in exchange for it"
Looking at the confused look from Tim, Xiang decided to explain in her own way (blunt as a dwarven hammer) "you promise each of us one favour, and we each grant you one wish" Xiang said nonchalantly
"I'll accept the deal if we add one more clause" was the instant response.
"And what would that be?" asked Gaia
"Not to ask for a favour that is against my morals. So no killing children that will, one day, be villains, and so on and so forth" Tim stated
"We would never ask such a thing" Xian said heatedly, only to be calmed by a hand on her arm from Maria.
"I apologise if I offended you, but the first rule when dealing with beings of power is to cover your bases" Tim apologised
"The terms are acceptable" suddenly said Gaia "you have a deal"
"Deal" added Maria and Xiang with a nod
"Ok so what are the favours?" Tim asked
