Chapter 1: Death, and what happens next

"...mmm, what, what happened...where...where am I?"
Zandor commented when he woke up, his surroundings were very different from what he remembered, earlier he was in a meeting with the high command of his company, they were debating whether to start working with fusion energy to provide power to their machinery in the war that was going to start in a few years, when suddenly there was an explosion in the building, and soldiers came in through the window shooting.

I was startled by a voice I heard, I thought I was alone here, well, at least I thought so as there was nothing around me, just infinite darkness, who could have spoken?
"Are you God?"
I decided to ask, although it was stupid my question, who else could be the one who was here, although I was an atheist most of my life, I used to believe there would be a heaven or hell, like those religions said, but it seems they were wrong, je idiots.

I heard his voice again, hey!!!! Who does this lout think he is to talk to me like that, I thought god would be more kind and benevolent as they put it. Wait and he said "in your world", so there are more inhabited worlds?

Okay, now I'm getting confused, just a minute ago I was alive, and now I'm talking to God? Urgh, it's giving me a headache.

These applied the law of conservation of energy, having a fixed number of souls, these when they left their corporeal form entered a pond, which would take them to their next life, but then...why am I here, talking to god?
"because your past lives along with your current one sucked, I have to admit that at least in this one you made it far compared to the others that you didn't even last to adulthood."
Hey!!! while my life really sucked from the time I was born until I turned 16, it was uphill after that!!!!
"You think so? What about your friends? Or your family?"
Friends? family? who needs them, I love my solitude, I felt calm and peaceful.

Although somewhat angry I was, "god" was right, I always disrespected people superior to me, maybe that's why I got so far, because it irritated me that incompetent people were in a position superior to me, who worked his legs off working hard to get there. But that's behind me.

It also had a news playback system, and any other program that was able to pay to allow its transmission on the network, but unlike them, this one had a silver color. I could see my reflection, apparently I am a sphere of some kind of fatuous fire.
I wondered what would touch me, numerous life forms were written in the roulette slots, some I knew, like humans, animals, androids... but there were many I didn't know, whispering lizard, cantankerous whale, there was even... a tree? Trees have souls, poor guy who would have gotten that.
I decided it was time, I thought I'd be more nervous, but I calmly reached what I think were my flaming hands forward to grab the lever... and pushed it hard. The roulette started spinning rapidly, seeing that this was going to last a long time I decided to ask god a few questions.
"hey, god?"
"what's going on Zandor?"
"seeing that there is this reincarnation thing, where did mankind get that heaven and hell thing?"
"do you doubt that? I thought you were an atheist?"
"well yes, I was, but being dead and in front of god gives me a new perspective".
"ahh, I'm getting tired of that "god" stuff, it's not even my name, you know, my name is Orion! And to answer your question, that was invented by humans, as always, people of high power had to keep the plebs under control, so they invented that heaven and hell thing as a reward or punishment for them to obey them."
"mmm apparently my theory wasn't that far off track, I knew that this bullshit about angels, demons, witches and other supernatural stuff was a lie"
"you are wrong about something, angels and demons do exist".
"What? But you said..."
"I told you that hell and heaven don't exist, but I can't take care of the whole universe alone, I'm not that powerful, that's why I needed helpers, and so I created the angels to be my troops."
"then the demons were also created by you?"
"...No..., it was another god who created them..."
"wait, there are more gods????"
"but of course, I didn't give you information about more universes, did you really think I controlled them all?"
"well, yes, I mean, I know that religion was a lie, but I believed that if there was a god, there would only be one..."
"well you see... wait, why does the roulette wheel keep spinning?"
Apparently "Orion" was going to explain something to me, but the roulette took our attention, it kept spinning, then it started to accelerate and spark.
"Is that normal Orion?"
I decided to ask.
"No it isn't!!!"
Suddenly god manifested a sphere around us to protect us from the sparks coming out of the roulette that increased more and more speed Is that what I heard in his voice was fear? It must be a very serious situation if "God" is afraid of something...let's hope everything goes well....

I still don't know how the upload schedule is going to be, I just hope I have enough time.
