When Shisui genuinely believed it to be true, Rena Hyuga, not feeling well that day, failed to stand firm. Recognizing this, Shisui promptly suggested, "Let's disband for now and gather the necessary items for the mission. The journey to the Land of Demons is long, and we may face urgent needs along the way."
"Senior Rena, take this time to rest well. Senior Natsu, do you agree?" Shisui turned to Natsu Uchiha, seeking her opinion. In Shisui's eyes, both Hyuga Rena and Uchiha Natsu, having worked together for years and holding senior positions, were natural leaders.
Uchiha Natsu nodded, offering a smile, "You're the captain now; your decision holds."
With Uchiha Natsu's approval, Shisui asserted confidently, "Then let's regroup at the gate in two hours and disband for now."
"Alright, then, I'll take my leave. I need to prepare and inform my family," Rena Hyuga excused herself, still somewhat embarrassed. After Shisui's announcement, she bid farewell and was the first to leave the Hokage Building.
Uzuki Yugao also took her leave to inform her parents and gather the necessary equipment.
"I've never heard Rena talk about her family before. I wonder who Rena's parents are," mused Uchiha Natsu, watching Hyuga Rena's petite figure as she departed.
Shisui, catching Natsu's comment, hesitated before answering, "I've heard that Senior Rena's elder sister is supposedly married to the Hyuga Clan Head."
"Hyuga Hiashi's wife's younger sister?" Uchiha Natsu raised an eyebrow.
Just two days ago, Uchiha Natsu had questioned why Hyuga Hiashi sought instructions from Hiruzen Sarutobi and wanted Hyuga Rena transferred to his team. Understanding Hyuga Rena's character, Uchiha Natsu had a hunch about the reason.
As the clan patriarch, Hizuru wouldn't consult the Hokage for a routine matter involving a branch family. Now it made sense—Hyuga Rena likely made the request herself.
So, Hyuga Rena is the wife's sister of Hyuga Hiashi, unveiling an unexpected connection.
Considering Hyuga Rena's age of seventeen and Hiashi being in his thirties, the age difference was substantial. Rena's older sister shouldn't be much older than her, introducing a unique dynamic.
Uchiha Natsu reflected on the Uchiha clan, where Fugaku and Mikoto had a five to six-year age gap. This realization led him to think that clan leaders tended to favor younger individuals.
Returning to the Uchiha clan, Natsu Uchiha and Shisui made their preparations. Uchiha Natsu visited the training ground first, releasing a shadow clone used for training. he reiterated the situation to Fugaku and specifically informed Tiehuo, Yamashiro, and others.
Given Uchiha Natsu's departure, the Uchiha clan focused on training and improving strength, avoiding unnecessary trouble. Tiehuo, known for causing disturbances, received special instructions from Uchiha Natsu, who emphasized the importance of maintaining a low profile.
After giving clear directives, Uchiha Natsu addressed Fugaku, stating, "With this ghost army, I sense that it won't be easy. We, the Uchiha clan, need to stay vigilant and keep a low profile."
While the notion of world destruction seemed unlikely, it could potentially impact Village. Fugaku took these words seriously, nodding, "I'll be more vigilant."
Satisfied with Fugaku's response, Uchiha Natsu left the training ground and returned home. Being a well-prepared individual, Natsu Uchiha had nothing left to arrange. All necessary items had been prepared in advance, even pots and pans sealed in scrolls for emergencies.
Consequently, Uchiha Natsu was the first to wait at the gate, followed by Uzuki Yuyan, Uchiha Shisui, and finally Rena Hyuga. Surprisingly, the four of them gathered in just an hour.
Hyuga Rena, refraining from touching Uchiha Natsu this time, appeared serene—a welcomed change. Natsu Uchiha reciprocated the sentiment. Regardless of their attractiveness, Uchiha Natsu harbored no romantic feelings. Hyuga Rena's intentions, though obvious, remained within the realm of friendship.
The Land of Demons wasn't far from the Land of Fire, explaining their longstanding trade partnership. The urgency of the task and the time required for everyone to prepare their ninja equipment led to a swift departure.
Exiting the Land of Fire border, the team traversed several small nations before reaching the Ghost Country border after a week. Upon entering the Ghost Country, Uchiha Natsu observed terracotta warriors patrolling everywhere.
These lifeless soldiers, seemingly on patrol, swiftly eliminated any living being they encountered. The land, as far as the eye could see, was saturated with blood and corpses. However, these soldiers targeted ordinary people, and Uchiha Natsu found no interest in these lifeless bodies.
Taking cover behind a bunker, Uchiha Natsu and her team observed the actions of the terracotta warriors. Uchiha Natsu concluded, "These terracotta warriors make up the Ghost Legion—all unconscious puppets."
Uchiha Natsu withdrew her gaze, addressing the others, "Since they're all puppets, we can eliminate them without alerting the sprites. There's a large number of them, but they won't pose a threat if we take them out."
Instantly, Hyuga Rena, who had been maintaining a quiet facade, stood up, ready for action.
