Chapter 4: Blind Kid (3)

After all the morning commotion, the day passed smoothly. The children had breakfast and were guided in primary studies.

Ledo couldn't concentrate properly on anything that morning.

Not that he was affected by the nightmare. The fact is… it made him unlock a curious and probably significant memory.

Ledo's nightmare was about what he lived in the monster's tide that swept the village when he was 10 years old, 5 years from now.

And the moment when he was saved by the old veteran adventurer really happened to him.

At the time, he was very young and scared. Everything from that day has always been a collection of chaotic and frenetic images. The only clear memories of that day were the images of his dead friends.

That's why he was so intrigued by the man's words.

"Interesting eyes"

He knew it wasn't his mind playing with him. The memory kept getting clearer and clearer.

His eyes were always a source of mystery to himself.

Only at the age of 17 did he discover that his eyes were not entirely a deficiency but an innate ability.

But this discovery was made by his own means. That is, he is entirely self-taught. But the old man's words opened the door to a new possibility.

If he is not the only one with this kind of innate ability?

If there are others like him, is there an orthodox training method? Could there be derived techniques different from the ones he developed on his own?

That line of thinking excited him and made him expectant. If so, he could become stronger much faster and protect those he loved.

He then spent the day planning what he could do to meet the old veteran prematurely, thinking about what his next steps would be.

***

In the afternoon, when the children were playing outside, Ledo isolated himself in his room with the excuse he was a little tired.

Nobody felt anything wrong with that, considering what he went through that morning.

Once he was sure no one was around, little Ledo sat in a lotus position on his bed and began to concentrate on his vision.

The human eye can perceive the brilliant spectrum of light. It can discern colors, shapes, and textures in its surrounding.

However, this is just a fraction of the visual realm that exists in the world. Beyond the visible light, exist countless other wavelengths and frequencies that go unnoticed to our human eyes.

Ledo called these waves from "universe whispers", the silent but powerful energies that make up the fabric of our world.

Understanding the full extent of what our eyes can see and what they cannot, is dive into a world beyond our imagination, a mystery and a wonderful world.

Each wavelength has its own unique properties and behaves in different ways.

Being a biological instrument, the human eye can only detect a narrow band of light within the electromagnetic spectrum, ranging from violet to red. This range of light is known as visible light, which gives the world its color and vibrancy.

Countless other wavelengths are invisible to the naked eye, including ultraviolet, and infrared.

The secret that Ledo's eyes hid is that he couldn't see the world in the same wavelength as normal humans but in those that humans couldn't see.

It took him a lot to discover this, and even when he did, it took him a long time to learn how to develop and use his gift.

The eye training to see these unseen waves is a complex art. It requires discipline, patience, and an unwavering commitment. Each day, he must push his limits, expanding his perception of the world around.

This is a journey that can take years.

With the advent of the world's destruction, and the end of his first life, Ledo felt that he had only stepped on a small margin of the entire ocean of possibilities that his capabilities could reach.

Ledo saw the world end at his 27 year old; at that age, he could see the world's energies. The primary energy, popularly known as Mana, Spiritual Energy, Life Energy, and Elemental Energy.

He could see and control any of these energies with perfect accuracy.

But he could sense that there was much more to it than that.

He felt that if he could train for a few more years, he would be able to see beyond the veil of the ordinary and hold the key to unlocking the mysteries of the universe.

With that as a basis, he decided it was best to start his training early. He doesn't know when he will have the opportunity to meet the old adventurer, nor if he will be of any help, so Ledo decides to save time.

His eye was unlike any other. It was capable of seeing and controlling the energy that surrounded them.

As he looked through his eye, the world took on a new appearance. He could see the energy pathways that ran through the air and into and in the structure of things around him.

The energy was like a flowing and pulsing river, and it was his command.

Ledo began practicing an introductory breathing method he encountered in his first life. Being so young, he decided to wear something simple and basic to create a solid foundation. He didn't want to compromise this second chance for the sake of rushing.

As he breathed according to the method, he could see the energy moving through the acupuncture points that ran along his own body, and he began to experiment how directing it.

At first, the energy felt wild and difficult to control. Even with his experience, he felt a sense of incompatibility, perhaps because Ledo had never experimented with such a young body.

As he soon found himself able to direct it with precision.

When he breathed in, a large amount of energy entered his body as if it had its own will. As soon as he breathed out, that energy still circulated around them as if it was still under Ledo's control before dispersing

For a brief period, the energy being exalted was still under Ledo's control. This allowed him to "see" through the energy as well.

He focused his gaze on some of his acupuncture points and imagined the energy assault into them from the inside e outside.

He focused on the Yintang, Taiyang, and Yuyao acupuncture points, located between the eyebrows, in the outer corner of the eyelids, and the last ones in the middle of the eyebrows.

The feeling was electric, like a jolt of lightning running through his head. He continued to canalize the energy, feeling the power build inside him.

The process was like a dance, a delicate balance between the energy control and his own breath, and with every passing moment, he felt himself growing stronger and more in control.
