Chapter 22: Meaningless Fight

Before either of them could make a single move, Falziel zoomed in between them and let out a flash of holy light. "Both of you, stop! There's no point in fighting!"

Apollyon had an annoyed expression on his face. "Hah? Angel, don't interrupt in our business!"

Azviel nodded. "Falziel, stay out of this. I want to see how strong he is myself."

Falziel moved out of the way and sighed. "But there's no point in fighting..."

Azviel simply ignored him as he waved his sword towards the third demon king. He wanted to kill him. His instincts screamed for him to kill him. He grinned as he swung along the sword. "There's only room for one demon king, Apollyon."

Apollyon laughed. "You're right about that. And it'll be ME!"

A clatter of sparks happened as Azviel's sword hit Apollyon's wings. His wings formed out of nowhere and had a purple shade.

Azviel leapt back as Apollyon smiled. "You sure are weak. You don't even know how to control your wings at will yet."

Both of them flew towards each other, lightning and fire raining down from both sides. Every one of Azviel's strikes were countered by his wings.

Azviel laughed as he swung even harder. "Now THIS is entertaining!'

Falziel couldn't stand watching them fight anymore. He flew in between and yelled, "STOP! BOTH OF YOU!"

With an even larger flash of holy light, both of them flinched at the burning feeling on their skin. "Stop fighting! There's no point in fighting! Don't you both want to find a way out of this dungeon without killing your own subordinates?"

Azviel sighed and shrugged. "I don't really care about them. I can simply just kill the boss to get out of this dungeon."

Falziel held up a finger and froze with a blank expression on his face. "Eh?"

Apollyon nodded. "We can get out of here anytime, worry about yourself, Angel."

Falziel shook his head to clear himself out. "No, no, no! That's wrong! We should find a way to get out of here without killing your own subordinate!"

Azviel shrugged once more. "Do what you see fit and I'll do what I see fit."

Falziel let out another burst of holy light. "No. You shall follow me, Azviel and stop fighting Apollyon."

Azviel flinched once more at the light. The serious expression on Falziel's face could make anyone shiver since it wasn't often that you would see it. He sighed and sheathed his sword. "Very well."

A smile appeared once more on Falziel's face. "Alright then! Apollyon, if you do not mind, could you go back into the jar?" There was a sly smile on his face.

Apollyon waved his hand as a strike of lightning hurled towards Falziel. "You wish, Angel! I will not go back just because you asked me!"

Falziel faced the palm of his hand towards Apollyon. "Holy Light: Sealing Present." A bright light beam completely enveloped the third demon king.

He laughed. "If you think just an Archangel-in-training can seal me, you're wrong."

Apollyon started getting pulled towards the jar, however. "What is this...Impossible!"

Falziel watched as the demon king struggled to escape from his holy light beam. "My apologies, dear demon king. I lied to you. I'm not just an Archangel-in-training. I am an Archangel. My apologies for disturbing your slumber." He closed the jar and then stuck the piece of paper on it once more.

Azviel watched the entire scene. "Well that was anti-climatic." He took the jar and placed it back in the tree root. "Might as well keep him sealed up for eternity."

Falziel grinned. "He won't be able to break free now. My seal can last for almost an eternity. And are you not going to question me about the fact that I'm an Archangel?" He tilted his head, questioning him.

Azviel shrugged. "It doesn't matter to me whether you're an Archangel or an Angel. Either way, you being an Archangel just means that if I ever fight you, I'd have more fun."

Falziel laughed. "That is the way you think after all. Besides, I found a way to get out of here! I can simply teleport out! Aren't I smart?" He gave more puppy-dog eyes towards Azviel.

"Not impressive, you could have done that anytime. But we need to money, so we have to close out the dungeon. We can't leave it open."

Falziel made a symbol of a light bulb with his hands. "Well, because of this great angel, I have an idea! Why don't we just teleport the boss out along with us? Your dungeon closed when you got teleported out, so why wouldn't it close if we just teleport the shadow demon captain out too?"

Azviel nodded. "Yes, yes. Do what you want. We do need the money. And what are we going to do about the two unconscious S-Rankers? We should just kill them to leave no evidence."

Falziel shook his and made a X with his hands. "Wrong! It'll leave more evidence if we kill them! S-Ranks don't die that easily! Instead, we just teleport them outside along with us and tell them that they fell unconscious when a shadow sneaked up behind them and caught them."

Azviel flew down onto the ground alongside Falziel. "If you say so. However, I still think it's better to kill them. No one knows what happens in the dungeons anyways."

Falziel poked him in the arm. "No, no. Listen to this little angel. Anyways, round everyone up! We're heading out of here and leaving that demon king there forever!"

Hello Hello! While awaiting new chapters, please check out my friend's book:

Reincarnated as the Female Lead! By StarryMoon_09

Would appreciate it if you check it out~ Here's the blurb:

Kaie Yami has been an assassin all her life. Merciless, cold, and slightly sadistic. During one of her missions, she suddenly died, and found herself laying in a soft comfortable bed. Kaie Yami had reincarnated as Lucille Feyrer, the lead in a popular novel. She was supposedly the nicest person anyone could come across...a complete opposite of Kaie.

In the novel, Lucille was supposed to tolerate people being unfair and biased to her, as she was very naive. In the end, the male lead, the prince would save her and take her as his wife.

Like a classic novel, the prince would come in the save the lady. However, Kaie had no intention of sitting tight and follow the novel. In the sequel of the series, the prince was actually quite corrupted and killed off Lucille later.

Kaie is determined to change her fate and find the perfect man for herself.

Thank you! :)
