Chapter 2: Two Moons

After crying and having a long sleep— and now staring at the worn out ceiling — her feelings finally calmed down.

She discovered she is now in a tiny room with a kid size bed and a small coffee table with some cold bread in it. Feeling the hunger in her stomach, she decided to think things through after she has eaten —after all she's really hungry.

Hard. She thought as she bit down the cold bread, the taste is bland and it's difficult to swallow but things like this easily made her eyes in tears.

It's been so long.

As her health began to deteriorate, besides the fact the hospital food can't really give the nutrition she needs — she doesn't even have the strength to chew anymore. For the sake of prolonging her life, IV fluids (injections) and medicinal pills have been supplementing her.

Even bread that tastes like this is enough for her to be touched. Although the taste is bland, she can now at least eat real food.

That's right. She shouldn't think negatively now that she was given a chance to live again. And finally in a healthy body!

After finishing the bread, she can't help but to jump around and do some exercise. She can't describe how happy she is now that her body's senses are back. It seems that God finally heard my wish and pitied me, although late, a pity is still a pity.

A healthy body!

Jump. Twirl. Roll on bed. Jump.

A healthy body!

After doing few more jumping and exercise, she lied down in bed panting and a foolish smile surfaced her face.

A healthy body!

A dozen minutes after resting, she stared at the worn out ceiling and replay the scenes in her mind to ponder what happened earlier.

It seems like she was an abandoned child and the plump middle aged woman — Doira — happened to find her on the way to the orphanage and just brought her along.

Even in this world, she's still an abandoned child.

She mockingly thought and immediately erased the negativity in her mind. Don't think about it! She chanted. It's already a blessing having this body and life. She can't be too greedy.

As she mused of the happenings earlier, her face began to pale. She just discovered that she really didn't understand a word they said! NANIIII!

The words sounded foreign to her. Chinese? Doesn't sound like it? Arabic? Not that either. She thought of countless country but in the end shook her head since they don't sound like those either.

Could it be a language of a country unknown to her? It's possible. She's not some genius or mania knowing every country's language or the sound of it.

As she thought of this, she faintly gave a glance towards the window beside her.

SHE ALMOST FAINTED!

Two moons!!?

NANNNIIIIIII
