Chapter 2: 2. Birth and sorting out the gifts

Lillian didn't really have time to think before getting chucked into the space crack. She felt her consciousness drifting away

The next time she woke up she feld a sudden tug of what she could only assume was her incoming birth. After a short moment in darkness and some coughing up to free her lungs, she ended up blinded by what she assumed was the light of the room her mother gave birth in.

'Stupid blurry baby sight' She mentally noted. After getting scanned by medical equipment that looked like a QR scanner they gave her to a woman, who she assumed was her mother. She surprisingly found out that the language used was very similar to Chinese, though she couldn't really understand what exactly was said because she was a newborn baby and her senses were still in development.

As her babyhood didn't allow for much aside from getting injections - She guessed it was some baby supplement, since it was way too many injections for vaccines - she decided to review her reincarnation 'gifts', that she felt in her head while the nurses worked on cleaning her up after her birth. First gift was a nice surprise - it was a spiritual technique that, when used to memorize information, resulted in edeitic memory.

'Sooo... Yeah for permanent techniques and nay for remembering my birth process for the rest of my life? Realm Spirit, I love you! ' She mentally exclaimed.

Next came Cultivation Techniques that she immediately imprinted with her memorization technique - They were respectively Primordial Dragon God Art for Qi, Tyrranical Dragon Body Tampering Art for body and Dragon Soul Art for soul. All could cultivate until the peak of Universe and even had hope to go beyond, she was really satisfied with them. Lastly she found two messages from Realm Spirit:

"I'm leaving these messages as last two gifts aren't really obvious. First of all, your compensation for the Lifespan we took from you - as you know, things that are beyond Universe (like your race) usually attract tribulations when advancing. However due to Multiverse rules for the duration of Life taken from you, which is 250 years all tribulations will be unable to kill you and will instead help refine your cultivation. Don't expect it to be painless though."

"Lastly, your bloodline. As we thought you'd like to be human, your draconic bloodline is sealed and will unseal as your cultivation level increases. However it's your bloodline that might make things problematic for you. Your branch of dragon bloodline is that of Primordial Astral Dragon, which boasts affinities to Space, Time, Creation, Destruction and Astral energies, which in a test for your everyday mortal will show you as talentless trash. Just thought to warn you so you could prepare. "

Lillian pondered about that for a while. 'Actually it might be an advantage, being talented at cultivation while having "trash" affinities should keep me from being noticed by bigshots or my family's enemies. '

With that thought she decided to start on the path of cultivation to establish best foundation as soon as possible, only to stop when a warning note emerged when she tried to circulate the art.

'WHAT DO YOU MEAN I CAN ONLY CULTIVATE ONCE I TURN 1 YEAR OLD?!' She mentally screamed. 'Duh, well I guess I'll have to wait. I'll try to learn language as well as walking and talking in that year then, that way I won't have to divide my attention between that and cultivation later'. With that thought she focused... and with a loud fart pooped her diaper. 'Noooo somone change this quick, ugh it's so uncomfortable' She exclaimed mentally before she started wailing trying to get anyone to help her.

Soon a nurse came back to the room, then took her to change her diaper. Afterwards she was given to the woman, who she assumed was her mother. She took the time to analyze the woman through her blurry eysight. Her hair was bleak black, bordering on grey. Her build was slender, yet her muscles were well defined, marking her as a very fit person. The most remarkable thing though were her eyes, a vibrant gold in the shade of freshly brewed beer. Lillian had to stop her admiration, as a sudden pang of hunger made her focus on obtaining food.

While she was feeding, a frantic man burst inside the room, his face filled with worry. Upon seeing Lillian and the woman he relaxed, a look of relief visibly appearing on his face. He then started rapidly talking with the nurse, but Lillian felt too sleepy to care and she drifted off into the world of dreams.

When she woke up she was in a different room without any medical equipment, filled with toys for kids.

'I guess this is my room' she thought. Since she had nothing to do she started immersing herself in comprehension of her cultivation techniques, only really waking up when somone entered her room, as she tried to pick up the nuances of changed language. She also made sure to 'exercise' at least once a day, to keep developing her muscles.

A real surprise came to her on the third day in her new home, when a small boy, maybe three years old entered her room with her mother. He had a cute, round face, brown eyes and amazing bush of black hair that seemed to be taken straight out from Harry Potter's head. He was also Lillian's first successfully learned name in this new world, as after multiple repetitions she finally understood that his name was "Long Chen". He became a frequent guest in her room, often playing with her hand or showing her picture books on a tablet-esque futuristic device that was used to read books.

The Long estate was busy and buzzing with excitment due to birth of their new Young Lady. However the adults in charge, Lady Xin and Butler Yang were troubled. The newborn heiress, who they named Long Yin was... too quiet. She didn't behave like a baby. She behaved as if somone trained her how to best support a baby and she followed it to the letter. She didn't like playing with toys, she often just lied quietly in a daze. There were even some servants that supposed she was dim-witted, but that was quickly debunked by the doctor, who said there was nothing wrong with her.

That lessened their worry, so they decided to just always have someone keeping an eye on her.
