He sneered softly, "You're not being sincere. I've introduced myself, so you should tell me your name. Besides, I've lived for over a thousand years. You should respect your elders."
So he's a thousand-year-old monster, no wonder he's so powerful!
As a twenty-five-year-old mortal facing a thousand-year-old monster, losing wasn't too shameful. I felt much more balanced. Clearing my throat, I said crisply, "My name is Margie."
"Margie! It sounds like the name of someone who's been abandoned." He deliberately teased, "And you have been abandoned, haven't you?"
"Do blood clan members like to reopen old wounds?" He must have been utterly despicable when he was alive, and even worse now that he's dead!
"Blood clan!" he corrected me arrogantly, leaning lazily against the bar and glancing around, with no intention of leaving. "I'd like to have a few more drinks here. Will you join me? Don't worry, I have plenty of money."
"I suggest you take them back and get drunk in your coffin. That would be more fitting!"
As a ghost, you should stick to your ghostly duties and not keep popping out to scare people!
I placed three bottles of Chivas from the bar in front of him. "Three bottles should be enough for you to drink all night."
"The night is beautiful. I don't like lying in there." He suddenly became interested in chatting. "By the way, the Bevis you mentioned earlier—is he your lover or your husband?"
"None of your business!"
He shrugged indifferently, pushing the empty glass toward me, signaling me to pour him another drink. "Do you live upstairs? Why are you alone here?"
I grabbed the bottle and poured the wine angrily. "Also none of your business!"
"Your parents?"
"...Dead."
"I guessed as much! Otherwise, you wouldn't be so fiery, as if you've had no upbringing!" He smiled, his handsome face suddenly blooming like a rose, dazzlingly beautiful. "So, Bevis is your only family, right? And he's too busy to be with you."
"So blood clan members also have nosy busybodies who like to investigate others' backgrounds!" What a shocking discovery!
"Hahaha... you're really humorous! I'm just being kind. Don't you feel cared for?"
His deep, raspy laughter sent a shiver through my eardrums, and for a moment, my heart skipped a beat. Damn it, was I being hypnotized by his laughter?!

Threatening me? Margie hates being threatened the most! "Can you tell me what can turn you back to your original form?"
