Chapter 18: Bloodline
"Your father has a big weakness for children who are forced to work. He wants to change this but he can't. Because he can't become a leader nor he can show this to the world. If others learn about this, they will force their children to work just so that their children can be raised for free."
"Not everyone will do this but there are all kinds of people in this world. And, there will be people who will do everything to abuse his kindness. Now, do you have any clue why I brought you here?" Gu Shui asked as she stares at him with a smile on her face.

"Yu Cao, huh! You remembered her name so quickly." Gu Shui couldn't help but press his nose and tease him.
Gu Tan rolled his eyes and spoke with a funny tone "Can you please stop teasing me? You are trying to create a contradiction to my previous words."
"Hahaha! I know, you are my son but you are also a leader. So, I shouldn't be doing this kind of thing, right?" Gu Shui smirked and bent down while jiggling in his face.
"Mom!" Gu Tan couldn't help but stomp his foot. He couldn't do anything at the position. He couldn't push her away nor free himself from her clutches.
"Haha! Finally, you acted like a child." Gu Shui bursts into laughter and finally leaves his nose. Then, she rubs his head and says "Mother wants to give you a lot of responsibility. It might even wear you out. Are you ready to accept it?"

Gu Shui nodded her head and take out a bottle with a drop of blood in it.

He had one question in his mind for a long time. Bone Structure doesn't cripple the bloodline. It does decrease the chances of awakening the high-rank martial soul. Zhu Ping is a pure example. In his previous life, Zhu Ping still had the same bloodline but his bone structure was only the first rank. So, he only awakened the seventh rank martial soul.
But this time, his bone structure was the ninth rank. So, he awakened the ninth rank martial soul. Gu Tan did awaken the ninth rank martial soul but his martial soul removed his bloodline and before it could fully awaken outside, it got crippled while keeping his bone structure shape and removing the bloodline.
Doesn't that mean his martial soul has self-awareness?
