Chapter 69: How Could They Be The Same?

Maya couldn't stop herself. She was emotionally strung out and said the worst thing she possibly could in that situation. 

"How come I'm yours when you'll never truly be mine?"

Vincent sighed, which wasn't the reaction she was expecting. "So I was right."

That derailed her. "Huh?"

"You want me to love you. But you and I both know that I'm not capable of that. You're only saying this right now because you're tired. It's pointless to say that I'm one of the worst people anyone could ever fall in love with because I'm sure you're aware already.

"I can't give you what you want, Maya. I wish I could. I wish I was different but this is how I am. I can buy you anything…do whatever you ask of me…but I can't change the fact that I don't experience attraction.
