Chapter 62: Eka (End of Volume 1)
The masked holder created a deep fissure as he was pushed back, and cracks started to appear on his weapon, but it managed to hold out. Steam rose from the shield. A durable one indeed.
Dante smirked and switched back to the Matriarch Bronze Sword to continue the fight.
In no time, the whole underground kept shaking, and explosions continued to erupt. Fire and dust permeated the air, making it hard for a regular person to breathe.
The Soldier Devil managed to grab hold of Dante's head. He flew near the wall and scraped the masked Holder along it, leaving a long crack.
As they almost reached the ceiling, the devil spun and threw Dante towards the ground, creating a deep crater and a cloud of dust. The Soldier Devil then descended, its body covered in cuts and black blood flowing. Just like before, its regeneration had noticeably slowed down.
