Chapter 47: Chapter 39
General Hawk looking at the power book,while ticking off Duke and Ripcords section with a stylus said" Duke, You scored in the top half- percent of all people we've ever tested. Rip, well, if we average your scores with Duke's, you pass too. Welcome aboard, provisionally. But we still need to see if you pass muster in the field." Hawk gives them a nod. Duke and Rip nod back with pride.
Heavy duty with small smile said" your now Joes! Welcome aboard, boyz!."
While the Joes welcomed the so called new recruits,Kage went back to his room after congratulating Rip.
Sometime later a huge drill bit of Ana's mole machine bursts out of the reinforced clay wall, it opens and retracts, Ana rolls out and drops to the ground. Another huge drill bursts out, it retracts and opens and Storm Shadow drops to the ground. They look around. They're between the clay wall and the
Ten Neo-Viper mole pods start to burst out the wall. And then there's a crashing sound as one of the wall girders bends, obviously a mole machine in the clay behind it hit it. Ana can hear the engine grind to a halt.
Ana spoke up"We have to find the case fast."
Storm Shadow gives her a look saying" Like I care?"
Ana with a smirk replied"Just thought I'd mention it."
Storm shadow thought"All that matters is I get the info to my brother." Ana pulls out a hi-tech scanning device which shoots out six steel blue beams in a 360 degree arc, creating a detailed schematic of the Pit, showing rooms and people moving about them. She points down a Hallway,while saying"Lets go get the case."
Storm Shadow gestures to one of the Neo-Vipers to look after the pods,while both Storm Shadow and Ana knew what their real mission is.
In the hallway Ana, Storm Shadow and the Neo-Vipers creep down the hallway. Two GI JOE guards come around a corner, before they can even react, Storm Shadow practically cuts them in two with his Katana sword. Ana Directs them down another hallway and right infront of General Hawks room.
But right then the so called Cover Girl walks up athe hallway as she wanted to get a few signatures from General Hawks.But Cover girl who just entered the hall way,she saw the neo vipers,Storm Shadow,Zartan,Firefly and Ana outside Hawks door as she quickly took gun and started firing,but the neo vipers armor were bulletproof,as Ana shot her right in the shoulder,but thankfully she was able to backtrack and find cover.
While Hawk hearing the shooting grabs his pistol opens the door,only to meet Storm Shadow who flashes his two swords.He was so fast that with two slices the barrel of the pistol clean off, the other buries itself in Hawk's gut. Hawk collapses on the ground. Ana steps forward and with help of Storm Shadow picks the General,they move him towards the safe.They force open his eyes the safe scans the eye of the general therefore providing access to the Case containing the warheads.
She opens the case to check that the four warheads are inside, they shine on her glasses.
Hawk glances at the bracelet Kage gave every GI joe member and struggles to reach it, giving everything he's got, until he finally hits.Both Ana and Storm Shadow noticed it,but didn't say anything,they were delaying things as much as possible.
In the barracks the sirens blares as Duke, Ripcord and all the Joes leap up.They all rushout of the room to the were the warheads are kept.
Kage who was meditating on his room opened his eyes and quickly rushed towards the Generals room.
While the Firefly,Zartan,Storm Shadow and Ana checked the case, there were ready to go back to the Mole Pods,that's hear head the clash of steel,.As they went outside the Generals room halfway down the hall,they saw Kage stands with his Katana drenched in blood.
There are five Neo Vipers dead at Kage's feet already, but there's still five more trying to kill him.The Neo Vipers tried to fire their plasma guns,but he was just to fast,Kage was fighting like a god of war. His blade too fast to follow.
There heads rolled before they could make the next move,Kage ignores the damage he's taking as his armor was really strong.But as Storm Shadow watches his brother fight in awe as he thought"He got stronger."
As Kage rams his Katana through neo viper's chest and out of his back.When Firefly got ready to fight Storm Shadow stopped him with his blade,while saying"Your not his match,take the case and leave."
Firefly hated Storm Shadow and wanted to disagree,but when he saw the other guy was serious he this was not an opponent he could fight,as much he hated it Storm Shadow was league above him.
As Kage saw the Ana and others going the opposite way with Storm Shadow staying behind,as he was pretty sure Ana gestured a couple of hand signs and even a kiss.
While Kage focused on Storm Shadow,who did hand gesture showing"Please fight seriously,don't speak about our connection.We are forced to work for the enemy."
Kage gave subtle nod as he took his fighting stance on the opposite end Storm Shadow with his blade was ready.
