Cultivation

"You mentioned that the academies became military academies. For what reason? Who are they fighting against?" he asked. Bai Ling was astonished. Her son was beginning to ask her questions like an adult. She didn't know if she should be worried or happy at this development. Ever since he revived, he had been behaving in a manner she couldn't understand.

"Something happened that shook our world. It happened even before my grandfather was born. As I was told, people from other worlds suddenly invaded our worlds. They attacked every city in the world at the same time. If not for our heroic warriors that stood up to fight against them. Am sure that if we were conquered, I would be a slave now and you would be born into slavery. Although their victory was a pyrrhic one as we lost nearly ninety-eight percent of our warriors. This caused the government that ruled every city and the major power overseeing the affairs of tens of thousands of entire cities to wake up to this situation. To prevent such from happening again, they included strict military training into the academies' syllabuses. Anyone recruited into these academies would pass through many tests to become a warrior." she said.

"Okay mom. Thanks for telling me all this." he said appreciably. Bai Ling shook her head "Is there a need for thanks between us? I have told you before, anytime you have anything to ask you can come to me. I would try my best to provide an answer" his mom said. "okay mom. Do you know anywhere I can get a material on cultivation? There should be books on cultivation... Right?" he asked.

His mom's mind shook. This boy. "Yes kid. There are books on Introduction of cultivation. Only introduction and nothing else. You can only find cultivation materials in military academies. Why do you ask? Don't tell me you want to learn how to cultivate? You are still too young for it. That's why only twelve and above are allowed to be recruited into the academies." she replied.

"No. I am just curious. I want to know more about cultivation. Where can I get the material?" he asked. "..... Hmm. Well, you don't need to. I would help you get one." she said. Bai Chen nodded with a smile.

He couldn't wait to read the material and understand what this cultivation is all about. In his world, only people in movies could exhibit such power but here in this world, through cultivation they could do things that only mythological gods he believed would be able to.

Bai Ming came in. He had finished watering his crops. "Dad. Welcome" he greeted. "hmm. How are you son?" he asked. "I am fine dad. Mom was just telling me about cultivation and about the military academies. When I grow up to be twelve, I would enrol in one of these academies and become a warrior that would protect you from evil gods" he said in a confident tone.

This had always been his kind of person. He was a patriot of his country in his past life and since he was brought in here, he would protect everyone in this world, especially his parent and his two adorable sisters.

What he needed to do was learn about cultivation and begin training himself. Since he had the memories of his past life, he would do push-ups, chin-ups, sit-ups and every other form of body-training exercises.

He felt doing this at his age would make this body physically stronger. He would have a strength-advantage over others.

His dad laughed. "Very well my boy. I believe you would grow up to become a warrior that would strike fear and terror in the heart of men and gods."

Bai Ling then stood up and left to go help her son get the material he requested for.

- Thirty minutes later -

She came back in with the cultivation material in her hand. She handed it over to Bai Chen who speedily took it from her like as if she might not give him again if he was some seconds slow.

And before she could say anything, he rushed away to his room.

The door closed behind him. Everyone became surprised by his sudden unexpected behavior. Bai Ling shook her head with a smile hung on her face. This boy. Then she told her two daughters not too disturb him. They should let him read whatever he wants to read in peace because she knows how her two daughters can be at times.

Immediately Bai Chen entered his room. He sat on the bed and began to read through the book his mom got for him on cultivation.

| Cultivation is a process of harmonizing oneself with an energy, then absorbing it into one's body and nurturing it. Over time, the energy would grow from a small amount to a large amount.

The area where this energy is stored in the body is two inches below the navel, we refer to this area as the power vessel or energyhouse.

Cultivation stages is divided into four phases:

- Initial-phase,

- Middle-phase,

- Late-phase and

- Peak-phase.

Cultivation realms are grouped into seven. They are:

- Human realm,

- Human Adept realm,

- Saint realm,

- Sage realm,

- Celestial realm,

- God Realm,

- Eternal realm.

They are collective names used to group cultivation stages. These realms are further subdivided and are listed in descending order in terms of significance (power level).

In the human realm, there are two stages. They are the Flow Activation stage and Condensation stage.

In the Human Adept realm, there are three stages. They include, Earth Palace Monarch stage, Cloud Layer Ruler stage and Heaven Palace Monarch stage.

In the Saint realm, there are five stages. These are, Saint stage, Great Saint stage, Saint King stage, Saint Emperor stage and Grand Saint Emperor stage.

In the Sage realm, there are six stages. They include: Sage stage, Sage General stage, Sage Master stage, Sage Grandmaster stage, Sage Lord stage and Great Sage Monarch stage.

In the celestial realm, there are three stages. They are Celestial Adept stage, Revered Celestial stage and Celestial Ruler stage.

In the God realm, there are seven stages. These are the Minor God stage, Void God stage, God Venerate stage, God Emperor stage, High God Emperor stage, Totem God stage and Hallowed God Lord stage.

Lastly, In the eternal realm, there are two stages. These are the Primal Cosmos Exalt (also called Chaos Heaven Prime), Absolute Primordial Infinite (also called Imperishable World King).

Cultivation stages have different levels of power. The degree of power wielded by a cultivator in any of these stages shoots to astronomical levels when he or she enters the next stage. Comparing the level of power of any stage to the next is like comparing a house fly to an elephant, they are usually vastly disproportionate.

When one first starts cultivation, they immediately gain two passive abilities, 'Inner Vision' and 'Level-perception sense' The former allows us to see within ourselves while the latter allows us to discern the cultivation realm of others or the strength of their attacks. Through their aura, the cultivation stage or level they are in would surface in our mind. With it, we are able to recognize any cultivator's cultivation level.

People who cultivates are either called experts or cultivators. They are split into four classes. These include

- Energy cultivators,

- Soul cultivators,

- Body cultivators and

- Bloodline cultivators.

Energy cultivators are the commonest. This set of people cultivate energies.

Soul cultivators whom are quite rare cultivate soul. These group of people possess soul-based abilities, like illusion, mind-compel, hypnosis, soul-ripping attacks etc.

Body cultivators cultivate body. They absorb energy from the world into their flesh, muscles, organs and bone and fuse them with it. This is done to strengthen and toughen the body of that expert, but they undergo extremely agonizing pain just to transform their body into weapons that seem nigh-indestructible. These experts' bodies can be extremely strong and hard to the point of easily crushing diamonds with their teeth or effortlessly ripping extremely thick metallic sheets with their bare hands. Being the hardest and most torturous form of cultivation, people who practice this kind of cultivation are very rare.

Bloodline cultivators cultivates bloodline powers. They awaken their myriad lineage-based powers and nurture them by comprehending their mysteries. These people are descendants of extremely powerful experts, they are from ancient human, beast and non-human lineages.

The humans in this group are quad-cultivators. That is, they can cultivate any of energy, soul, body and bloodine or all. Their bloodline powers manifest as 'God-Bodies' or more commonly as physiques, a form of super-powered body in which they can transform their normal bodies into. For example, someone with a 'Bluefire Skydevouring physique' would have his normal body transformed. His hair would turn bright blue and glow brilliantly in blue light. He or she would breath out bright blue mist which are extremely toxic and extremely corrosive. His entire skin gets covered in blue armor-scales. Immense, bright blue, extreme-temperature flame envelops the figure of this person. But they need to awaken this physique first before they can cultivate it to such terrifying levels, which is simply unlocking every stages of their powers by comprehending the mysteries of their physiques.

Progenies of beasts are tri-cultivators, especially the ones from the union of female divine beasts and human experts. They cultivate any of energy, soul and bloodline or all. Possessing both human and beast characteristics, they can cultivate energies and cultivate bloodline, coupled with their extremely durable body, they make for one of the strongest cultivators in the world. They have terrifying cultivation speed that terrific human geniuses could only match the lazy ones.

And lastly, the non-humans, as their name implies are not humans, these are other races aside from humans and beasts. They are dual-cultivators.
