As Xia Wan'an opened the bathroom door whilst singing, she noticed an unexpected figure in the bedroom, startling her such that she almost dropped the towel wrapped around her body.

She stared at the figure in front of her in absolute terror for a while before coming to her senses.

Xia Wan'an thought she might be hallucinating, so she blinked fervently. But when she looked again, the person still stood there, staring back at her. She then realized it was indeed Han Jingnian.

Seeing Han Jingnian silently staring at her, she hoisted her towel up and ventured to ask, "Why did you come back?".

Han Jingnian remained silent, his gaze neither cold nor completely normal. It unsettled Xia Wan'an, who couldn't decipher his emotions.
