Chapter 2: 1. My Emotions
"Keep it up son." Risei said to his now 8 year old son.
"Got it father." Kirei said as he got into a stance.
He then dug his heels on the ground and then he shot forward as if he is sliding and managed to get in front of his father. He then gave a punch which was blocked by Risei as the older man was able to block him. He then quickly swiped his legs as Kirei fell on the ground.
"That was good. You're improving." Risei said to him with a smile.
"Thank you Father." Kirei said to him.
Kirei's eyes are blank, the same as the normal Kirei. Risei didn't seem to notice it as he just smiled before looking at the time.
"It's time for me to go and work at the Church. I wil see you this evening." Risei said to his son as he walked away.
"Yes father." Kirei said to him as he went away.
After that Kirei left his garden at the back as he entered his house. He saw the food on the table as his mother, Maria welcomed him with a smile, something which he returned.
"Here is your food Kirei. Make sure to eat plenty. You will have to work alongside your father soon." Maria said to him with a smile.
"Okay mother." Kirei said as he started to eat.
Maria did the housework as Kirei ate his lunch. After that he left the place after telling his mother and went to his room and locked the door. He then stood in front of the mirror and noted how his eyes are looking.
'My eyes are still the same. God fucking dammit. I can't even feel positive emotions now. Only negative emotions have any effect on me. This is supposed to be frustrating yet I don't feel anything and my own moral compass doesn't allow me to do anything bad.' Kirei thought to himself.
After he was born into the world as Kirei, he immediately realized that he isn't able to feel positive emotions and rather he only feels anything from negative emotions, the same as the original Kirei. Yet he doesn't want to be like that man, he has seen what he is willing to do for his own gain and he didn't want to be like that.
'I need to find someway to make it so that I can feel positive emotions as well. Otherwise it might affect my psyche.' Kirei thought to himself.
He sighed to himself and then sat on his bed before he took off his shirt. He has a very muscular body for an 8 year old, courtesy of his father's training. His father is training him to become an exorcist for the Church.
'I personally don't have any interests in that but for the time being I should just go with it.' Kirei thought to himself.
He then concentrated as glowing lines appeared on his arms showing that he has activated his magic circuits.
"Let's try this." Kirei said to himself.
He knows that magecraft is self suggestion and larger magecraft requires the use of a larger wording for it to work. He muttered a few word and then fire appeared over his palm as he smiled a bit. Though he didn't feel any type of emotions from it.
"Damn it." Kirei said to himself as he put out the flame.
'I still didn't feel anything. I have to remedy this thing somehow otherwise I will end up just like him.' Kirei thought to himself.
He knew that he had to do something to get himself some kind of help otherwise he might turn out just like the original Kirei which he wanted to avoid as much as he can.
"For the time being I should try to integrate myself into the Church and get stronger and get more information. Then maybe cause a fake death for myself, maybe." Kirei said to himself with a thoughtful look.
Time skip
"Your son has shown exceptional skill and as such he is worthy of becoming an executor for the Church." A cardinal of the Church said to Risei.
"It is my greatest joy lord Cardinal. I could not be more proud of my son." Risei said with a bow.
"Are you ready for this my child? To become an executor for our lord's mission?" The Cardinal asked Kirei.
"Yes. I am ready to serve Him." Kirei said to him.
"Very well. With the authority bestowed upon me by the Lord as the Cardinal, I hereby declare you, Son of Risei Kotomine, as an Executor for our Lord. May He always smile upon you and give you his protection my dear child." The Cardinal said with a smile.
"Thank you Cardinal." Kirei said with a bow.
After that the last of the preparations was done as he was relieved. As Kirei has just been made an executor he didn't have any jobs so his father took him home. Risei has a happy smile on his face as he drove while Kirei looked ahead.
'I just hope things work out and I find a way to help with my emotions.' Kirei thought to himself as he looked at the sky.
