Chapter 3: The Look of Admiration
I arrived at the company thankfully I send my report to one of my workmate Olivia who is my close friend so I ask her to present it but she said the presentation is cancelled due to the emergency meeting in the company.
It's unusual that I did not saw him that day CEO Clark which is my boss because I always see him everyday even from afar so I went home early. I discovered that the refrigerator is empty so I went to the market. The market is near the sea so the fishes being sold there are cheap because there are a lot of fishermen in that area selling fresh fishes. There are a lot of people buying vegetables and meat while the noisy vendor Cora my friend is telling something about a guy found at the seashore right now. I felt curious because the customers are going crazy over it and rushing to the seashore. I could see all of them circling around the guy's body. Out my instinct I also go there to see what is really happening.
Am I imagining right now? the guy lying on the wet white sand is CEO Clark?', I'm so confused as I go nearer to check if he is really the CEO, without blinking my eyes I finally conclude that he is really CEO Clark. I look at him and felt worried as I kneel before him. The noisy people surrounding us started to get curious so they ask me if I know this man. I said yes but I started to feel nervous because he seems lifeless lying on the ground. The sudden rush of mixed emotion is flowing inside me. The tiny droplets of tears fall down from my cheeks. Why I am crying right now?', I asked myself maybe because we just met in person last night and drove me back home in the early morning today and now I am looking at him lying on the ground. I just look at his hand because I can't look at his face due to my fear.
--The noise is making my head ache the surroundings seems so dark. I can't move any part of my body. I tried again and I can feel that I move my finger just once.—
I saw his finger move and quickly grab his hand and said to him, CEO Clark can you hear me? Please wake up. "Please wake up sir?
--I heard a voice telling me to wake up so I tried to open my eyes. The brightness from the sky is minimal so I look at my surroundings. There are a lot of people looking at me with curiousand worried face but someone caught my attention the woman kneeling beside me is amazingly beautiful. She looks at me and I can see tears from her eyes. "Sir, are you okay? She asked. I felt that she knows me but I can't remember anything about her. I just said I'm fine and I ask her if where I am. She replied that I am here at the seashore. The two fishermen said that they found me near the big rock a few meters from the shoreline and they brought me in this location to check if some people could recognize me. Fortunately she seems to know me.—
I brought him home because I get concerned to his health and his safety. I ask him if what happened, how he got drowned. He is a little bit confused the way I look at him and he replied to me "I really don't know what happened", and who are you how did you know me? He asked me that question. The glass accidentally slipped out of my hand and my mouth is wide open because I'm shock and ask him."You don't know me? He replied" Yes I can't remember anything including my name. Do you know who I am?
That words coming from his mouth gives me a nervous feeling of burden. I grab my bag and drag him outside the house. We ride a taxi and a few minutes later we arrived at the hospital. I told the doctor to check on him. I waited outside for the result and the doctor told me that he has a temporary amnesia. As I look at him he looks fine and handsome but his eye tells me everything. He is standing there waiting for me. The doctor presents Clark's head image and explain his condition. He advised me to take good care of him because he will be new to all the things that he will encounter now that he couldn't remember anything. I held his hand and lead him the way going out and we go home. I let him sit and offered him something to eat. He didn't know what to do when I put the plate at the table so I teach him how to do it. While he was eating I can't stop looking at his handsome face and I think I could feel the burning sensation of my cheeks. I think he sense that I am looking at him so he looks at me with a questioning eyes. His gaze is so sexy that I think my heart is going to explode.
