Chapter 150: 150.

Walking inside the house, what greeted the two of them wasn't some luxurious furniture or red carpets, but an extremely common interior devoid of decoration.

Reaching the living room, Yang Ze signaled the two of them to sit on the chair beside them.

"Tea!?"

"..."

"Okay." Shrugging, Yang Ze sat on the chair in front of them as a smile formed on his face.

"How can I help you, gentlemen!?"

"Heh." Looking at the young boy acting as an adult, a sneer formed on Hua Cheng's face. "Boy, do you know who we are!?"

"Eh!" Yang Ze looked at both of them with narrowed eyes. How could he forget these two jokers? One likes to boast about himself while the other wanted to sacrifice himself.

"Hmph!" Seeing no response from the boy, Hua Cheng snorted in displeasure. "Let me introduce myself. I am the fifth elder of the Hua family from Ignis City, Hua Cheng."

"Oh!"

"And this here is the third ancestor of the Hua Family, Hua Liu."

Speaking till here, Hua Cheng went quiet and looked at the boy in front of him, hoping to see his response, however, to his disappointment, the boy still had a blank look on his face.

"YOU..." Pointing his finger at him with a face full of anger, Hua Chen wanted to rush forward to give him a beating, however, before he could say another word, a hand arrived in front of him, blocking him from standing up.

"Ancestor!?" Looking at the old man who had a smile on his face, Hua Chen was confused. In his mind, the ancestor should be the first one to take against the boy, but now it seems things were different than what he imagined.

"Hehehe... I hope you won't mind his remarks, young friend. Elder Hua Cheng here has a firey personality."

"...." Yang Ze kept his silence.

"I heard you have been running a business here all by yourself!?"

"Hmm." Yang Ze gave him a slight nod.

"I see." As soon as he saw the affirmation, a smile formed on his lips. "So, how is it going on!? Facing any problems!?"

"It is closed now." Replying in a flat tone, Yang Ze rested his chin on the back of his hand, supported by the chair arm.

"Oh!?" Hua Liu's brows furrowed up before easing up. "Why!? What happened!?"

"The disaster." After a short pause, Yang Ze continued. "After the disaster struck, I lost everything."

"Everything!?" The frown on Hua Liu's face was getting deeper and deeper.

'What's going on?' Elder Hua Cheng on the other hand was sitting there confused. He just couldn't understand why ancestor Liu was wasting so much time chatting with this bastard. They should just tie him up and take him with them for punishment.

Perhaps aware of his thoughts, Hua Liu glanced at him momentarily before focusing back on the boy in front of him.

"Well, not everything..."

"I See..."

"...."

"...."

The room plunged into silence for a long time. It wasn't until the old man adjusted his position before asked another question. "Well, since you know who we are, then do you know why are we here!?"

"..."

"No answer... I see... Perhaps you have forgotten it, let me remind you."

"A few weeks ago, people from the Xia Family visited our clan, looking for a boy that goes by the name Hua Ji." Speaking till here, he gazed deeply into his eyes.

"Of course, there found Hua Ji, but unfortunately, it wasn't the person they were looking for."

"..."

"According to them, Hua Ji was a boy around sixteen to seventeen years old living in the City of Mehull, running a business by the name of the Vault of Heaven.

Now then... Do tell us, HUA JI... What generation were your parents from!? And what was their position in the family!? Don't you think I should be aware of the prodigy that our family birthed?"

"...."

"...."

The silence lasted for a while before Yang Ze stood up and left the room, leaving behind the two of them.

"Ancestor!?"

"Sssshhh..."

Elder Hua Cheng wanted to speak, but looking at ancestor Liu being so serious, he didn't dare to let out a word. Both of them sat there in silence for quite a while before a set of footsteps echoed.

"Come with me." These were the first proper words Yang Ze spoke to them during their conversation.

As soon as Yang Ze finished speaking, ancestor Liu stood up with a bright smile on his face before following him. On the other hand, it was Hua Cheng who appeared to be confused with the way things were going on. From the moment he arrived here, everything that happened didn't make sense to him.

Helplessly, he could only follow the two of them.

.

.

Within a few moments, the three of them were standing inside an empty room that seemed like a storage place. On the ground in front of them was a large wooden box, that was around a meter in height and length.

"I hope our family could overlook my ignorance and give me a chance to further prove myself." Joining his hands, Yang Ze gave a bow to the old man as he slowly stepped forward to lift the lid off the box.

"HOLY SHIT."

Hua Cheng was the first one to curse out loud the moment the lid of the box opened. In front of his eyes was the box full of spirit stones, lying there quietly. For a moment, Hua Cheng believed he was dreaming. After all, these many spirit stones... Even their family wouldn't be able to take them out at will. Judging by the numbers, it would take their family years to come up with.

"Ancestor..." With eyes filled with excitement, Hua Cheng looked at the old man beside him, only to see him standing with a gaping mouth. The old man's expression was even more exaggerated than his own.

"Huh!?" It took a long time for the old man to come back to his senses. Just like Hua Chen, he wasn't expecting these many spirit stones here. Even though he was expecting some form of compensation, this still exceeded his imagination.

"After doing business here, I realize the true meaning of family." With a heavy sigh, Yang Ze looked at the ceiling with a desolate expression, as if he was going through a lot of pain.

"It was only after I earned so much, did I realize how empty life is.

My parents were no names living at the graciousness of the family. Now it is time that I pay back for everything the family has done for me."

"Huh!?" Rubbing his eyes, Hua Cheng made sure he wasn't hallucinating. Listening to the boy, even he was convinced for a moment that he was part of their own family. This devotion, this piousness, everything seemed so convincing. So much so that any unsuspecting person would think of these three as family members.

"Of course, how could I reject such an offering from our junior." With a smile on his face, old Liu step forward as he glanced at the box one more time.

"I think we should take our leave now." He could hardly wait to go back with this box. With these many spirit stones, there were many things that they could do. Hell, it was even possible to create a new family with this much wealth.

"What's the hurry!?" This time, it was Yang Ze who stepped between the old man and the box full of spirit stones. "There are still some things we need to talk about."

"And what are they!?" Old Liu narrowed his eyes into slits. Just as he thought, the boy wasn't mentally challenged to give them these many spirit stones for free. As for the matter of being from the same family, even a three-year-old child would not believe that lie.

He had his doubts, but it seemed like these spirit stones were not so easy to come by.

"Well, since the three of us are from the same family, and I am contributing so much... Then..." With a pause, Yang Ze looked at them with a smile. "Then how about you tell me what the actual situation is!?"

"You have to be more specific." Old Liu replied in a flat tone. He was now beginning to understand the true purpose of the boy. It seemed like he wanted to know about the ongoing situation.

"Sure... How about we take a seat first!?"

"As for the spirit stones, worry not, they are not going anywhere."

Old Liu thought for a moment before following Yang Ze back to the living room as the three of them sat once again. During the entire time, Hua Cheng wanted to speak, but every time he tried to open his mouth, the cold gaze from the ancestor would send shiver down his spines. In the end, he could only bite the bullet and keep his mouth shut.

"Well, let me begin with the most simple question..." Yang Ze glanced at the old man "Why did you leave the city of Ignis to come here!? Shouldn't you be there for the war!?"

Old Liu didn't reply immediately but assessed the position of the boy in front of him once again. It seems like even though he was wealthy and possibly supported by powerhouses, his standing was still nowhere enough to know about some matters. Even the people behind him were unaware of these matters. He could feed him lies, but the future consequences might be unpredictable.

From the moment he heard about someone using their family's name for business, he sent some of his men to get more information about the people running the business. At first, it was all about face and pride, but the moment he heard how much money the business was making, he changed his mind. Instead of face and honor, it was better to get a share of this pie.

However, it was unlikely that other giants were not eyeing this business for themselves. And since the business can still operate without being merged with other families, then it means only one thing...

The background of the people running this business was impressive. And since other big families couldn't grab it, it was almost impossible for him and his family.

So, his sole purpose for this visit was to get as many benefits as possible from the opposite party. And even if they were rejected, there was nothing for them to lose. He was here just to test his luck.

Now seeing the situation, it was perhaps the wisest decision that he ever made.

"....." Yang Ze didn't speak but waited patiently. He could have just shown his identity to get information from them. But were he to do it, there was no guarantee that the news he get would be authentic. So, after much deliberation, he came to this conclusion. Using their greed as a way to strike a deal with which both parties would be satisfied.

It was an extremely simple, yet effective method.

"Sigh... Let me begin from the start." And sure enough, it worked.
