Chapter 1: •Chapter One-Cheat

Most would say that practice made perfect. One could only get stronger if they honed their skills through training, battle, and sparring… right?

So how could it be that someone could gain strength from watching others rather than training himself? That went against the very law of physics.

Muhon hadn't been quite able to wrap around how his system brought about such a miracle. But then again, to transmigrate into a fantasy world from a modern day earth wasn't exactly within the law of physics either.

Earth was… depressing, in one word. As a soldier, he hated to see the country he served so hard for fall with each second that passed.

He clearly remembered that thundering night. He sauntered across the street deep in thought. So deep in fact, he had failed to register the truck speeding towards him.

That damned truck.

It sprung from nowhere. But perhaps that was a blessing in disguise. Earth was much too boring compared to this world. A world full of shinobi with the magical powers to move elements or put their enemy inside an illusion.

Some were even born with bloodlines that raised their natural aptitude to be a shinobi. Sadly he was not one of those people.

He was born to a very normal civilian household. The chakra he possessed was so minimal it was almost negligible.

That was one thing he realized as he came to this world. As someone who basked his decisions in logic and planned his life based on his chances to achieve a certain result, he knew in the first few days since his arrival he had no potential to be a shinobi.

That was four days ago. In total, it had been a week and he had since revived his aspiration to be a shinobi.

He may not have had chakra, but he sure did have a system. To boot, it was a system that granted him stat points with only him having to observe other people training.

This meant battles, spars, and individual training session. The higher the rank of a shinobi he was watching, the more stat points he would receive.

However, his chakra was stuck. He couldn't use ninjutsu or genjutsu.

"Sigh… bummers."

Genins gave him 0.5 stat points per stat per hour. Chuunin shinobi gave him one, and Jonin gave him three.

He could quite clearly feel the changes in his body when he gained these stat points. Even now as he watched the other students train with the occasional guidance of his teacher, Umino Iruka.

He had split the field up into three parts. Some students were working on their stamina, others on bukijutsu, and the final ones on Taijutsu.

Muhon fixed his red pupils on each of their movements. This was his way of getting stronger. A lazy way, but he quite enjoyed it.

From a harsh life on earth, he considered it his right to live life on easy mode in this one.

He wasn't the only lazy one though…

"It's so hot today… ugh, what a drag."

Shikamaru was a child with black hair styled up to look like a pineapple. His lazy black eyes counting the clouds reflected how he felt about training, or school in general.

Muhon couldn't recall a single moment Shikamaru had ever actually trained. Well, he was a clan kid so he probably got some at home. Still, that didn't excuse his laziness.. not that he was one to talk.

"Hey." Shikamaru spoke to him underneath the shade of the large tree. "Switch me spots."

"No."

"Tsk, why?"

Muhon replied back without sparing a glance at Shikamaru's irritated expression.

"The shade is the best over here. That's also the reason you wanted to switch spots, no? Sorry but I'm too comfortable here."

"Ah, you're a drag."

Shikamaru slid his fingers through his thick hair. He observed Muhons hair was much longer than his, reaching mid-back length.

"What's your name?"

"Muhon Hannya."

"Ah, I see. I'm-"

"Shikamaru Nara," Muhon interrupted, resting his head against the tree as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"The laziest person in our class."

"You might be right. But the way I see it… you are being lazier than me right now."

Muhon finally looked at him, an eyebrow raised. Him? Lazier than the class' laziest person? Impossible.

Shikamaru also picked up these thoughts from just his expression.

"It's true. At least while I'm lazing around I'm still being beaten by this heat. While you-are comfortably shaded by this tree and able to relax."

That prompted a chuckle from Muhon. Shikamaru wasn't wrong, but he wasn't right either.

"Although I look like this I am actually learning and getting stronger."

"…whatever."

Another five minutes passed before another boy came and sat down besides Shikamaru. His face was red down to his neck and his breathing unstable. He looked as if he would collapse at any moment. "I can't anymore! I'm tired!"

Right as the boys huge body hit against the tree, Muhon could feel some of the leaves shake off.

"Get away from me choji, your all sweaty."

Shikamaru said in a slight look of disgust. He didn't lie either. Choji looked as if he had just gotten out of a shower with his clothes on. From head to toe he was drenched.

"I'm not even touching you!"

"You being near me is enough. Stay away."

The bickering between friends had started. Muhon tuned out all their noise and was instead paid attention to something else. A blue screen only he could see.

[Name: Muhon Hannya]

[Age: 12(+24)]

[Overall LVL: Civilian]

'Still a civilian huh?'

In the past hour he gained an extra thirty stat points by watching his classmates practice. He watched the ones who could actually classify as genin; as someone who was at the level of himself would give him less points than if he were to go and practice on his own.

He wasn't at their level yet. If it came down to a one on one situation he was sure he couldn't beat any of the trained clan kids… yet.

It was only a matter of time. He could feel himself closing in on their level fast. With his growth he estimated it would only take a couple of more days.

Graduation was in a months time and by then he would be well above their level. This was important because his goal was to be taken under the wing of a Jonin after he graduated. The last thing he wanted to do was be thrown into the genin corps, or even worse, have to become a regular civilian and do normal work.

In this world where people could fly in the air, teleport, and bring about illusions that could make a sane man into a maniac, having the power to protect oneself was crucial.

"Okay class, that's all for today! Let's head back inside!"

Iruka's loud voice boomed throughout the field after five minutes.

Training usually went for an hour and a half, that was the case this time as well. Because of that reason, Muhon couldn't get the extra half hours worth of stats in order to complete his hour.

Muhon sighed dusting off the dust from his cargo pants. He stretched his body that had barely a couple of centimeters since they came out to the training field, and then followed the class inside.

All in all, it was a productive day.

-

"You didn't beat me Naruto!"

"I clearly did, just admit it Kiba!"

"I was faster by an inch!"

"No I WAS!!"

"Stop lying!"

"You stop lying!!"

"Will the both of you be quiet, please!"

Iruka slammed his thick geography book on his podium. The sudden sound spooked Naruto and Kiba back to their seats, away from the face off they were having.

Muhon, sitting right behind the yellow-haired boy with whiskers, could still hear him mumbling. "Stupid Kiba, he doesn't want to admit it because then he would have to buy me ramen."

Muhon hid a few chuckles. He gazed at the clock. Good, there was only twenty minutes left of class before they could be dismissed.

The longer he spent inside this classroom, the more stat points he lost out in outside of the academy.

Iruka cleared his throat.

"Now that I have everyone's full and undivided attention. Shall we continue?"
