Daeho nodded, but before he started he turned toward the chairwoman once more and asked her. ''Should I keep the mask?''
Kang Ji-Hyun just nodded with a smile. '' Feel free to do so.''
Daeho just shrugged and took off the mask and neatly placed it aside. The 5 spectators' eyes widened looking at him.
Daeho's body appearance had grown by many quite a lot and not only did his skin get fairer but so did his silky Black hair, his strands of hair seemed so in place that it was a charm of its own. His features had become sharper and coupled with his unique eyes, he was a treat to see already.
Jihyun knew better than anyone just how much he changed but she didn't say anything and just smiled. 'Puberty is making wonders on you.'
Daeho didn't bother with their reactions since he was in the middle of calming himself down. He asked that question in order to win a little bit more time to recompose himself. This was a feeling he had before piano contests and he just couldn't help but feel anxious each time.
But being nervous before the performance is a thing but in the performance it is different, he knew that better than anyone.
He closed his eyes after signaling for the music to be played. Once he heard the familiar sound of the music he opened his eyes, giving out a wild and sharp look. He wasn't looking at anyone, in particular, it was just him there. It was him there dancing alone what would go wrong when? It was lonely alone but it was safe and warm for him.
Hours of training amounted to this, his body moved fluidly, and above all his body moved with power and embodied what the music made him feel.
Everything outside was completely shut down. No distractions.
Just the way he moved and the emotion he gave off as if a completely different person.
This surprised the judges, and they felt satisfied a smile formed toward their faces, it wasn't that unusual for someone to do the same to hit the ''switch'' but it was a 16 year old doing that and that gave more merit to him.
They were drawn to him, it wasn't as skillful dancing but that they had seen it before today but what stood out was his expression, he was in full play and that made them focus on him as if he was telling them. 'Focus on me'.
Time seemed to go faster and once they saw Daeho fall to his knees. The instructor smiled and clapped. '' Very well done, although you did some minor errors here and there you compensated it with charm. Very well done.''
Daeho was ecstatic when he heard his words, and similar to him the other four gave their opinion on his performance, with it being overall on a positive note.
Daeho was smiling childishly a dazzling smile on his face and thanked them for their kind words. They definitely could be harsher and nitpick and go through his mistakes but they had decided to tell him about the mistakes while encouraging him and giving him tips.
Definitely, a family friendly thing, which made hm feel relieved.
With their praises and pointing out where he did some mistakes, Ji-Hyun took the lead once again this time with an expectant look in her eyes.
''Now mister Daeho what would you like to be evaluated on now?''
Daeho just sighed he didn't prepare a cover of any song to sing since he was so focused on the dancing thing. But he had indeed prepared something.
He had a system and although he spent all of his points which were at the 150000 VPs and although he wanted to keep the points but he spent it buying a song. It was actually a random music box. Which cost exactly 150000 VP and it would give him the chance to choose 1 of 5 songs. It is a very op item but people forget that there aren't only good songs, and he had to take into account his situation too. After buying that box and picking a song the value of the box was now on 500000 VP and now he was broke.
But luckily for him, he had picked a really good song, which was a big stroke of luck, since in the middle of junk there was gold.
And coupled with these last weeks of training he had gotten his singing to a grand total of 57 which was considered very good.
So Daeho answered. ''Well I would like to join in the singing and the freestyle together, can we get a piano?''
Ji-Hyun just smiled and pointed to a door behind him and said slowly. ''There is a second room there, and inside there is a piano, we will relocate to that room.'' She stood up and graciously walked to the room she pointed to.
Daeho silently followed everyone and the previous anxiousness was almost gone, he still felt his hands shaking but it was something normal.
And indeed inside that room he saw the piano, coupled with on the side a couple of other instruments. It made sense for them to be prepared for original trainees.
He just walked slowly to the piano, while stretching his fingers.
