A women ran through the forest, with furs and a spear, they had only recently found out how too cover themselves. Running from predators as she was separated from her family. Her people followed in hopes of saving the women. Spears in hand as there senses went far beon what humans of the modern age could do. The women ran through the forest as a wolf jumped bitting her leg. The woman rolled sliding back ignoring the pain as her will too live sparked. Pointing her spear at the wolf as more circled around, dashing forward for a break through rather then being surrounded she let the wolf rush at her as she got low striking out with her spear hitting it and throwing it to the side. The wolf yelped as she continues too move. Still calling out as the large wolves ran pass the fallen wolves body. The girl moved to a area sliding and stoping as she looked down a cliff. Hearing the wolves howls she knew she could not go back down so she climbed, rushing through trees hoping do live till sun rise. She ran but finally the wolves caught up. Feeling there was nothing left but fight. She got low pointing her spear at the large wolves who looked on too her, opening her mouth.
"Ahhhh!" She let out a war cry, knowing this would be the day she returns to the mountain.
The wolves move biting as she fought kicking stabbing and even biting blood and holes from teeth were across her body. Her right arm and left leg broken. She still did not fall moving backwards turning around and stopping as she saw the large dark cave. The woman would not be pushed further as they believed there "deity" lived here, feeling happy she would die in the presence of her peoples "god". With a smile she ready herself again, speaking.
"Hágooshį́į́ ch'į́įdii dego dóó yaago iłnídílzhoʼí shí" (goodbye, let my body die here spirits lift me) she says, placing her hand to her heart then pointing it foward to the sky.
"Ahhh.." she was going to yell.
"Rrrwaaaaaahhhhhhhh!" I roar that sounding it like it shook the earth came from behind her as a massive black fur creature came out of the dark.
The girl looked up, thinking her "god" came too see her die as she made a sound ready to move but her leg give out.
The creature jumped over her as the her vision blurred she watched as the wolves bowed and faces of her people, bowing there head to the ground while the creatures black fur danced in the moon light. Before she passed out.
Waking up, she found herself in a cave a fire flicking on the walls, as a shadow was seen of a large creature but as it moved closer she saw a man in a black fur.
He came too her putting his hand on her head and giving her water.
"Did you save me?" The women says.
(A.N there speaking ancient miwok, the closing thing I could find of paleo Indians)
"Yes, in a way" the the man says to her.
"You are the great spirit that protects this place?" The women says
The man only smilies putting food next too her as the people of this land came here everyday with food.
They soon spend time as she asked him all manor of things he washed her, helped her, and taught her yet they both knew she would die. Going to the river he carried her and placed her in it. Washing her long black hair she grew to love this man as they spent every waking moment together. time went on as her health grew worse and worse even too the point she could no longer leave the cave as the man would not leave her side and she hated too be apart from him.
"Mato alo I will die soon.." the women said.
(A.N mato is bear and alo is spirit)
"Elu, do not speak of this again, please I will save you" the man says.
"My love please, I do not wish too see you watch me die" elu says.
"I will not, I did not think I could not save you like this, please love you must drink" the man says, holding a wooden bowl of dark blood.
"We spoke of this what If you grow tired of me?" Elu says.
"I would never" the man says.
"What if I grow tired of life?" Elu says.
"I will make it so you do not" the man says.
"What If you have too kill me, my love,could you?" Elu says, holding his hand.
"If that is your wish, yes" the man says, Lying.
"Very well, we are.." Elu says taking the blood and drinking it as they both say,
"Joined for life"
Soon her eyes close and open again as they turned pale blue with yellowish gold at edges. Her fangs grow as she felt pain and warm.
