Chapter 1: Visualization Technique

To think faster my father taught me a visualization technique. Since young, I practice it. The technique is divided into 3 sections, the first is visualization of tiny dot. In my mind I envisaged it to move in a circular manner in a clockwise and counter-clockwise direction, then up and down. My father said that the dot should be clearly defined in my mind, he said that it should be vivid and should have a certain characteristic on it. At first it is quiet easy, but the next step is to visualize two dots.

It should be first, moving in a clockwise and second, counter-clockwise direction, and it should form a circular pattern and it should be 180 degree away from each other. Then the next step is to envisaged that this two dot is colliding to each other. The point of collision should not change when visualizing this dot that are colliding in nth times.

Next is, visualizing one dot is moving while the other is not, its like that of hands of a clock. While the other one is moving I should not forget the other dot, it should be delineated while the other is moving. And it is the same for three, four and nth number of dots.

It's quite hard to advance in it, because when I already achieved 14 dots, it become disorderly, and I lost the solid visualization and it became full of mist. Gradually, the visualization became too slow, the first to fourty-seventh dots takes me one and a half years. And fourty-eight to eighty-nineth dots takes me four years. And ninety to hundreth dots takes me six years.

When I was sixteen my father taught me the second section and it was to visualize 2-D objects while moving in a circular manner, clockwise and counter-clockwise. By two, three and nth number of 2-D object at the same time. And when I'm thirty-six I can already visualize a hundred of those at the same time while moving, in various direction clockwise or counter-clockwise.

I started to open the notes that my father left on me when he pass away, and I practiced the third section . To visualize 3-D objects, which I already expected. Cubes, rectangular prism, cone , pyramid, etc. I visualize it in more complex way because of another dimension (the third dimension) which lead to various direction, clockwise in x,y,z direction or -x,y,-z direction, ect. the same with counter-clockwise.

My progress was too slow, really slow. It takes me thirty six, basically half of my life, because I'm now seventy-two old fogey. Now that I'm old I got a hobby of reading light novel which make me envious of the character's youth and on how they cultivate to achieve immortality. It's a heavy feeling on how I was half-step in grave. But before that I must finish the wish of my father to complete the things in the note. And that is to build a mind space or mind palace that is permanent and cannot be altered after creation. It said that I can create anything that is within the capabilities of my visualization technique. I thought hard on what will I create as my mind palace, but then I thought of the novels that I read.

So, I started to get to work. First, I visualized a white space, then a big mansion which is a combination of 3-D objects. I put a lot of cultivation tools in there, weapons of the protagonist and antagonist's treasures and cultivation resources. Before I finish, I thought of something, to visualize the key figures of all the novels I read. I put them into different places in the mansion. And the last step is for me to make it like my own space. By visualizing it everyday, by imprinting this in my mind. And lastly when I'm in a hospital bed, lying in there without moving, I'm walking to my mind palace, without realizing the embrace of death.
