Chapter 53: CHAPTER 51

4 years Adrian was in the cemetery with two people looking at the
Adrian was looking at the two gravestones with tears in his eyes. Beside him stood a middle aged woman along with a middle aged man. The duo were solemnly looking at the graves.
"Now it's our duty to bring up little Adrian." The woman said as she bent down and hugged Adrian with tears in her eyes.
"Yes I would do anything for my grandson." The man said as he looked at the graves of his son and daughter in law with solemn looks.
Adrian's parents died due to a terrorist attack when they visited a restaurant to meet their friends. It was a tragedy as many more were killed in this attack.
"Let's go dear" The man said to his wife. The woman looked at him and nodded quietly while she wiped her tears. She then stood up and carried Adrian and three left the cemetery.
After that three of them lived together. The duo brought Adrian with love and care and he too loved them deeply. They were happy but as every things come to an end, so did Adrian's happy days. His grandfather was Lawyer and fought for justice unlike those cowards who only wanted to fill their pockets. So in his long career he had made quite a few enemies.
It happened when Adrian was 16 years old. His grandfather took a case against a wealthy businessman. He had quite some powers in the city.
It was a afternoon when Adrian and his grandparents were returning to their house in their car. It seemed that there was a heavy atmosphere in the car.
"Why did you do it?" Asked his grandfather as he was looking at the road while driving.
"Tch it has nothing to do with you old man. That asshole was harassing and bulling the new teacher and she literally cried." Adrian said in pissed voice.
"Language Adrian langue!" His grandmother scolded him as she pulled his ear from the back seat.
"I.. I am sorry grandma." He said as he tried to dodge her hand.
"Still you should have informed the school authorities before doing hitting him." His grandpa sighed as he said.
"Hehe but my little grandson is in the right though. He was simply helping that poor teacher. I know you wouldn't do anything bad and am proud of you." His grandmother said as she ruffled Adrian's hair.
"*Sigh* you are right dear. Even though Adrian did some unnecessary thing, I am still proud that our grandson is someone who upholds justice and truth and doesn't bow in front of wrong." His grandpa said.
"Alright stop both of you is embarrassing." Adrian said while he looked out of the window with a embarrassed look.
At this time when they were crossing the road a truck suddenly came from the other side and hit their car. The car rolled over and crashed into the pavement with a bang.
Adrian and his grandparents who were inside the car were heavily injured and has lost their consciousness. Only Adrian could hold onto his conciseness anyhow.
"Grandpa .... grandma...are yo...you all right?!" He said with pain as blood dripped from his head. He pushed open the seat belts and turned to look at them. His grandmother was knocked out and his grandpa had a deep wound on his chest as a glass piece pierced his chest.
"No....no Grandpa!!" He said as he tried to help him but before he could do anything the door of his side opened and someone pulled him out of the car. It was a few people who had rushed at the place of accident and tried to open the car when they noticed that a fire was catching in the car. So they rushed at it quickly and opened the door while pulling out the boy who had his seatbelts open. They quickly pulled him away from the boom.
"N..no stop!! Y...you.....have ...to help th....!!!!" *Boom* He couldn't complete his sentence as the car exploded. And like that his grandparents passed away in an accident.
It was later he found out that this accident was an orchestrated plan by the businessman against whom his grandfather was standing. On that day he vowed that he would put the bastard behind the bars and avenge his grandparents. Like that he worked hard towards his goal of being a cop as he found many dirty secrets. At the end he was t
able to put him behind the bars for good.

Adrian was still looking at his grandparents with shocked expression.
"What is it do we have something on our faces ?" His grandma asked seeing that he was gaping at them.
Adrian broke out of his shock as he rushed at his grandparents and hugged them.
"Eh what's this? Was our grandson missing us so much. We only went to get the groceries only?" His grandpa said as he who hugged him back.
"Thank you Phoenix Spirit for giving me the chance to see my grandparents one last time." He mumbled.
"Hum what is it Adrian? Did you say something?" His grandmother asked looking lovingly at her grandson.
"It's nothing. Can we stay like this for sometimes more." He asked. The two looked at him and then nodded their heads and the three keep hugging as time passed.
*Kacha kacha* At this time the reality around them started to break as the world collapsed into millions of pieces as Adrian now as Yan was back at the Phoenix trial ground.
He was still in the trial ground and his hands were still in a hugging position. He slowly moved and stood straight. He looked above at the darkness as his eyes were covered with his hair.
"What... happened??" The Phoenix spirit asked as it looked at this with it's shocked expression. As far as it knew Yan hasn't passed the test.
Yan turned around and as he said," I could have ended the trial the moment it started but you showed me something which I couldn't give up . You gave me a chance to see them one last time so thank you very much }."
Yan had a sad look on his face and a tear flowed down from the side if his eye. Looking at this the Phoenix spirit was quite before it said," Well challenger, you already knew it was only a illusion from the very start, and that you could have ended it quickly. Would you rather stay in the illusion and even trick yourself to believe it is real. Only with the great strength of your heart could you end it or stay in it for its immediate gains."
"But you somehow broke the illusion and completed the trial so congratulations challenger. Within these countless years, you are the eight practitioner who has passed the trails. You have earned the right to inherit the Phoenix's gift."
