The MC doesn't care about money, to him if he wants he could easily make a large palace out of gold. So to him it doesn't matter if he gives it away or stores it. He also isn't one for politics nor really cares about others since he follows his ambition which is collecting women and making a harem that rivals the gods.
So this does not mean the MC is dumb, but has a different way of thinking.
So I repeat if your looking for a Mc whose has a grand goal or struggles before reaching the top. It not here as it is a nonsense smut novel.
