"Girl you look amazing!" Vicky said to Kemi who was in a blue lace dress that fell to her toes, a slit running from her mid thigh down, showing of her honey coloured thighs.
"Shut up, look who's talking" kemi said as she put on her shoes, black 6-inch heels, her hair was still natural , longer and she put it in a bun, some hairs sticking to her forehead.
Vicky was in a similar dress, just with a slit on the two sides and the dress was black.
"Where are our royalties?" Vicky yelled and she heard Adriana giggle, walking downstairs, her arm in her brother's.
"Well, look who looks so regal" kemi said and pulled out her phone taking pictures.
"Group picture!" Kemi yelled and everyone took a picture.
"Now, we don't want to keep the food waiting to we?" Adriano said and she turned to him, a wave of déjà vu washed over her.
"Cmon guys" she said with a smile and they walked to the car, kemi sat in the driver's seat with Vicky beside her and the kids in the back seat.
"Are we r-" Vicky was cut off by the revving of the jeep and the kids laughed.
"I hate you Fadekemi"
"I know you love me" kemi retorted and drove, they sang in the car and Victoria recorded it all.
In an hour they had gotten there, the kids were mesmerised by the beauty and size of the restaurant.
"Its so big" Adriana said on kemis left hand.
"I thought it first!" Adriano claimed from Kemis right hand.
"Good evening ma'am, welcome to fiorellis, do you have a reservation?"
"Under Fadekemi Animashaun" he nodded and gave them a bright smile.
"Please follow me ma'am, I'll show you your table"
"Please do, I'm freaking starved,man!" Vicky groaned and the man chuckled.
He showed them to a table of six and left.
"Momma this place is so amazing" Adriano said and jumped in his seat beside kemi while Adriana sat opposite her, beside Vicky.
"Mom is coming too, i invited her" Vicky said and kemi nodded.
"It's fine... Darling what do you want to order?"
"Um... Can you help me with that mommy, please?"she said and kemi smiled then nodded.
"Of course darling"
"And me too momma, please?" Adriano said, pouting.
"Sure honey" she kissed his forehead.
"Um, the chicken salad sounds great" she said, voicing out her thought.
"Yeah, okay" Vicky said as her eyes scanned the menu.
"I'll probably order something else later" Vicky said and kemi rolled her eyes.
"Of course you will" kemi said, smiling.
Max. Not a day has gone by they she hadn't remembered him. His betrayal was still fresh in her mind and memories.
"Mummy I need to pee" Adriana said and kemi sighed.
"Let's go... Watch him,Victoria" She said and stood up, her daughter held her forefinger.
"Is this place really expensive" Adriana asked as they walked and kemi laughed.
"Who told you that?" Adriana blushed and shrugged.
"I don't know" kemi laughed and ran into someone making her stumble backwards with a smile.
"Sorry" she said and looked up, her smile fell and she didn't know how to feel.
His hair was now longer, reaching his shoulders, he had a beard and he had creases on his forehead already, dark eye bags under his eyes. He looked like he was older than 36 but he still looked hot, her panties still got damp at the sight of him, tattoos danced at his neck and the parts of his hand she could see. She looked downwards and found a child holding his hand, the resemblance was striking and with that thought, her little heart broke over and over again as he looked into her eyes with guilt.
"Sorry mommy, I'm sure its his fault, not looking where he's going " Adriana said and pouted at the sight of her mom crying.
"Mommy stop crying..." She sighed when she noticed her mom still hadn't looked away from the strange man.
"I'm gonna go call Adriano and Aunt Vicky" she said sassily and walked away.
"Go stay with your... With Irene, Gio" Giovanni frowned and walked away from his father.
"Cara" he smiled and tears fell from his left eye and then his right.
"I've missed you so much" he said and reached for her when she slapped him, the sound echoing though the restaurant.
"What the fu-" Dante rushed from a table and his eyes widened and his voice vanished at the sight of Kemi.
"Don't ever... In your God damned life, say my name or touch me!" She growled and was interrupted by Adriano and Vicky.
"Stay away from my momma, now look what you did!" Adriano yelled at Max who couldn't look away from what he left behind.
"He's my-"
"Finish that sentence and you'll regret it... Max!. You lied to me, you betrayed me... You left me!" She whisperyelled like she couldn't still believe it.
"And who the hell are you?" Irene asked kemi, appearing beside Max.
"Who is she, Max?" Kemi asked and laughed painfully, waiting for his answer that she knew would break her heart.
"She's no one cara, you?need to understand... I was conf-"
"I'm his wife. Irene DeLuca" Max shut his eyes painfully when kemi looked at him questioningly.
"Wife?... DeLuca?... I'm... I'm sorry... I don't understand" she said and tears poured harder, her breathing was harsher and she knew she was going to have something close to a panic attack if she didn't breathe, she breathed a few times.
"Principessa, let's go somewhere else to talk about this" he held unto her hands and pulled her with him only to be stopped by Adriano again.
"Let my Momma go!" He kicked max - who wasn't the least affected - in the shin but the thought of his own son hating him broke his heart.
He bent down to Adriano and ruffled his hair.
"Hey son" Kemi pulled Adriano behind her, glaring at Max.
"He's not... Your son Max"
"I'm not your son" Adriano declared proudly as tears fell from Max's face.
"Milliano, what the hell is this tramp doing?" Irene said again, eyeing kemi distastefully.
"Milliano?" Kemi asked again and she felt everything in her line of sight collapsed and then her eyes closed, she succumbed to darkness and fell but he had his arms around her before she could reach the ground.
"MI AMORE!" he screamed and his tears fell to her face, the face he hadn't seen in seven years.
"Give her to me and get the fuck off" he looked up and found her best friend, glaring at him with so much hate in her eyes. Her kids... His kids even looked at him with so much hate and accusation.
"No...Get out of my way" he looked back at her closed eyes, his heart slammed in his chest harder than it had ever.
"I'll take her... I'll leave... Just... Please" he fell to his knees with kemi still in his arms. Vicky bent down to whisper into his ear
"I'm letting you go because... You look stupid, begging for someone you don't deserve. I'll make sure you regret it if anything happens to her... Italian prick. I hope you rot in hell" she said and walked past him, dragging her best friend's kids along, Adriano and Adriana fought to go back to their mother.
He stood up and walked to his car and placed her in the backseat, his eyes never leaving hers. He caressed her cheek and pulled away then shut the door. He drove to the nearest hospital and ran into the hallways, an unconscious Kemi in his arms.
"Calm down" an elder nurse said and he glared at her as she touched his Cara.?
"She's fine, calm down" the nurses came and placed her on a stretcher, wheeling her away while he watched. He watched her break right on front of him.
He had his head in his hands when he heard a familiar voice.
"Where's my momma?" The boy asked a nurse who just pursed her lips pitifully.
"Where's mommy Adriano?" The little girl said, crying while Vicky spoke to the nurse at the counter.
"Mommy's fine, Adriana, I'm here, okay?" She nodded and hugged her brother whose eyes bore into the eyes stranger who made his mother and his sister cry.
"Let's go sit Riana, I'm sure momma's fine" he said and sat his sister five seats away from Max.
"Get your filthy eyes off her children or I'll dig them out and shove them up your ass" Vicky said, her eyes red and puffy.
"I don't have the time for this Victoria... The woman i love i-" he felt her slap his face, harder than kemi did.
"I hope you die...and you lose everything you wish for" she said, tears falling from her eyes.
"DO YOU THINK I WANTED THIS?" He asked angrily and slammed his fist into the wall, scaring the twins.
"What did you want then?...WHAT DID YOU WANT THAT SHE DIDN'T GIVE TO YOU. YOU'RE AN UNGRATEFUL ASSHOLE. SHE GAVE YOU EVERYTHING SHE COULD AND WHAT DID YOU GIVE HER IN RETURN HUH? PAIN! TEARS! SADNESS! REJECTION!..." Vicky stumbled backwards and sighed, staring at the ceiling for a few seconds until she faced him.
"You don't deserve her, Max. I've never said it enough and I don't think I will. In my eyes, you'll never... EVER...be good enough for her" Victoria spat and walked away, Adriana following fast behind her.
Adriano stood in front of him, a conflicted expression on his face.
"You're my papa?" Max smiled from the tears in his eyes and nodded.
"I wish you weren't" His smile dropped as he watched Adriano's back, his son walked away from him.
Now the tears fell, they fell because he had to face reality, they fell because he hated himself.
