Chapter 206: Sentry Serum.

"Again!" Wanda screamed at me like a drill instructor.

"I'm trying!" I cried, glailing my arms around helplessly.

"Try harder princess!" She growled, hitting me woth a stinging bolt of chaos magic and I just sighed.

Why is magic so gosh darn hard?

We have been at it for hours.

My arms are starting to hurt now.

I hunched over, slouching listlessly, staring at Wanda.

"You're so mean when you start instructing." I pouted sipping on some mega seed juice.

"You're taking hours to learn a simple fireball! You wouldn't have lasted a week in the sanctum." She huffed but I could see that little smug grin of satisfaction she had on her face.

Cheeky little shit!

"I did make a fireball. A week ago!" I gestured at the massive crater burned into the plateau at the end of time.

"With a machine." She pointed out.

"With a magic machine." I corrected.

Wanda sighed.

"You asked me to help you learn magic. Using machines to harness magic power is not magic. It's not sorcery. It's science."

"I'm good at science." I said, sulking.

Wanda came closer and sat down beside me, patting my back.

"Yes. But you want to learn more than that. That's why you need to learn magic. It's bad enough that you don't let me push you through dimensions. It's way easier to learn that way. Natural learning is for geniuses."

"I am a genius." I replied.

"Clearly." She smirked.

"You're enjoying this aren't you?" I asked, slouching further.

"Yes. Very much so." Wanda giggled.

It was cute.

I shook my head.

No.

Not Wanda.

"You're always so good at everything. And you know everything. And it's just .... refreshing? Yes. Refreshing."

I raised an eyebrow.

"To see me suck?"

"Yes. To see you suck. I don't know how you don't get it already. It's super easy!" She gestured woth her hands, forming sparking mandala in the air as a flame the size of my palm flew out from it, exploding in the sky in a beautiful display of fireworks.

"What is so difficult to understand? You take the magic, make a circle and push it out. Simple. Even a baby can do it."

"Even a baby huh?" I chuckled at the absurdity, imagining a baby blowing it's hair up with a fireball.

"Yes! You just need to let the magic take control. Don't fight it. Guide it. Magic isn't something you control. Don't make that face

Of course I know. I can see magic. You are fighting the magic. Trying to control it. You can't. It's uh..... what's the word. Counterintuitive.

Like a chinese finger trap.

You feel like you should pull but really, the right answer is to push.

Magic is like that. If you try to control it, it will fight you. But if you give in to it, it will let you control it."

"So what you're saying is..... this magic is a tsundere?" I laughed and she just gave me a deadpan look.

"I like yanderes way better anyways. This magic should just shut up and let me control it. Because no way in hell I'm giving up any control to it. I am my own master. No one controls me." I huffed.

Wanda raised her hands in the air out of frustration and laid back on the rocky crag, giving up.

I looked down at her as she played with her powers and caught her eye.

"You know.....since you wanted to be a housewife, how about I introduce you to someone today?" I suggested.

Wanda looked at me confused for a brief second before she became flustered and shook her head like metronome.

"No need. I will...uh.."

I patted her shoulders, and waved her concerns away.

"Come on. No need to be shy. The guy is super handsome, he's loaded. And he's looking for a 50s wife! He's everything you ever wanted!" I said, snapping my fingers.

A sterilization and replication beam set hit her freshening her up as it printed out a new dress on her.

Wanda gave me an annoyed look.

"Boss. Jay. You need to learn about boundaries. I'm not your daughter. I'm a full grown woman. Doing this.... it's not right."

Hmm ...

That.... surprised me.

I looked back at what I had just done and realised I had been treating her like a child.

I guess she just felt so helpless to me I just naturally assumed the role.

Heh!

I chuckled and stood up, patting my pants clean.

"Yeah. I guess you're right. You're not my daughter. Sorry about that. But the offer is genuine. Come along." I said, lending her a hand as she stood up.

"Just go on one date with him. Make it a coffee date. You'll enjoy it. And I already set it up."

She sighed.

"Fine. One date." She said.

"Yup. One date." I opened a portal.

"Let's go."

Exiting onto a street in Brooklyn in front of a small, homely cafe.

"Just right there." I pointed out, opening the door as we walked in.

The cafe was mostly empty save for one guy in a shirt, jeans and baseball cap, sitting in the corner.

As soon as he saw me come in he perked his head up, and waved me over.

I nodded leading Wanda to him.

"Cap. Nice to meet you again."

"I'm afraid I can't say the same. But...thank you for coming. You said something about HYDRA agents kidnapping Bucky?"

Wanda turned to me confused.

"You didn't tell him did you?"

"It's a problem easily remedied. By you." I smiled mischievously.

"What?"

"See you two lovebirds in a bit." I giggled and disappeared into a portal before any of the two could react, as a note floated down onto the table.

Captain America picked it up and read it out aloud.

"Hey Cap. Sorry about the bait and switch. But it's Wanda's lifelong dream to be an American housewife, you know the whole 2.5 kids, white picket fence, a pet dog. The whole deal?

And well, you're in severe need of a woman, I'll tell you that, my dear 90 year old virgin.

So here's a proposal. You take her on a date and in return, I'll tell you where Bucky is. Deal?

If yes, look to your side. A little gift for you."

Steve Rogers looked beside him.

Nothing.

He looked back at the paper.

"No, you idiot. The other side."

Wanda chuckled, and pointed at something beside the seat, leaned against the wall.

Neither of them knew when it had appeared but it looked like it had always been there.

"My shield!" Steve exclaimed softly dropping the letter on the table.

Wanda picked up the letter, and read on.

"No need to thank me. Just your regular old, good samaritan. Bringing people together and raining joy into their lives. Try not to adore me too much!"

Wanda scoffed.

"As if!"

But she continued reading.

"Anyways, by now Wanda should be reading this so here.

The ship's portals are locked down. You are not coming back anytime soon. So just give him a chance. Steve Rogers is a great guy. He'll make you happy. If he meets your fancy, and you're ready, I can even make him fall in love with you. Though you shouldn't read this part out loud-"

Wanda flushed with embarrassment, looking at Steve who gave a small chuckle and a nod.

She relaxed, letting out a sigh.

"Jay is just.... overbearing sometimes."

"I know what you mean. Come, have a seat." Steve gestured.

"You don't have to force yourself." She insisted.

"Nonsense. It's my pleasure to be on a date with a woman as beautiful as you."

"Aren't you a ladies man!" Wanda giggled, teasing.

"I'm surprised you are still a virgin."

Steve looked flustered and leaned back a bit to relax himself his eyes glazing over with nostalgia

"I ...had a date. And time, it takes so much away, like sand through your fingers. But enough about that. Let's make this a fun date at least." He smiled warmly.

"Yes. A date to remember." Wanda replied happily.

.

I returned to the ship and made my way straight to the lab.

Why?

Because there were two notifications on my screen.

Two very juicy notifications.

"Project Hyperion completed. Sentry serum is ready."

"Project Mead And Bones completed. Asgardian Ichor is ready."

Project Hyperion was simple. It was the project I created to give myself the bullshit powers of the Sentry, Marvel's superman expy.

Super strength, the power of a millions suns, nigh invulnerability, flight, among others.

My serum was even better than the one sentry used. More stable. Better yields too.

So I was likely going to be stronger than even Superman.

Project Mead and Bones was my project for deciphering the Tablet Of Life And Time.

The tablet that bore the recipe for a means of evolution that raised people to godhood.

The Asgardian Ichor that resulted was the formula that would help me apotheosize, if only a little bit.

It would grant me a body that could withstand Stars and evolve all my current powersets too!

Probably even give me a godly domain like Thor's lightning or Odin's Odinforce. It's high time I used my followers' faith anyways. Best to not let it go to waste.

I looked over at the two vials that a research assistant droid had just brought over.

One burning gold, and the other pitch black tar.

Three months of hard work. Well, three months of spending like a minute a day on the research but still.

Finally, both of these were ready.

"Computer, what's the progress on Project Deep Wells?"

"Project Deep Wells has been completed for over two months now." Huh?

Must've missed the notification.

Project Deep Wells was a side project I had left to the droids. It was a simple mission. Drill a hole straight to the center of the Earth and right to the chest of the Baby Celestial hiding within.

Alright then. Everything is in order.

Let's do this!

I sat down on a plush recliner and a droid came over with an injector at my command.

He picked up the first, burning golden vial and attached it to the vial, before leaning over to me.

"Please relax sir. It will only pinch for a second." It assured me as it rubbed a solution onto my skin, and slowly injected the serum into me.

Instantly, I could feel my veins burning, like molten gold had been poured into the and the feeling razed through me, sending me into thrashing spasms of pain as my whole body burned alive, scorched by the power of a million suns.

The world turned to light and with sheer force of will I dulled my sensation of pain even further than it already was.

Just a minute more.

I lied to myself.

But it wasn't a minute.

Oh no no.

After what seemed like hours and was probably dozens of minutes, 23 minutes if my clock is right, it stopped and I fell into the chair exhausted.

Fucking hell, it hurt!

A quick scan showed what had happened.

The serum had reformed my whole body structure.

I looked down at my hands and saw tiny veins of golden light burning beneath my skin, faintly visible to naked eye.

It was beautiful, once I saw myself in the mirror. Like a spider web woven of gold, my very own milky way inside of me.

With a thought I pulled on the new burning pool of energy inside me and created a glowing ball of hyper condensed flame.

The power of the sun in the palm of my hand!

It felt great!

I felt like I could crack a planet with my bare hands now. And given that I had created the perfect sentry serum, I probably could.

Yeah.

Good thing I have bionics for precision control of muscle tissue.

Never before have I been so happy to be a cyborg.

I chuckled.

Imagine giving a hug to your kids and the next thing you know their head's popped out a like a pez candy.

Super strength without super dexterity is a curse, not a blessing.

Thankfully, I have more than just that.

I could control everything about me at a nano level.

For the most part at least. Can't mutate myself a sixth pair of eyes on a whim like Riley but more than enough to survive most poisons, radiation and diseases.

"Sir. Are you okay? Shall we proceed with the second dose?" The droid politely asked in it's soothing robotic voice.

Looking over at the pitch black Asgardian Ichor, I shook my head.

"No. Let's keep it on hold for the moment." I said.

I want to absorb the Baby Celestial first.

Then when I evolve that power to the next level.....

Heheheheahahahahaha!

I couldn't help but cackle like a supervillain, grinning wide. Just imagining that much power....it gave me a semi.

I will be able shape reality at will, with just a thought.

Yup. Let's go kill and eat a baby.

That came out wrong!

But first, a little power testing.
