Chapter 8: Chapter 8 : Kol Explains Supernatural(II)
"Okay, Kol, why don't you explain everything you can, and then I will go through with this," asks Caroline nervously.
"You don't have to worry, darling.
I go by what I say when I say it.
As such, I always have a good reputation, unlike my brothers.
There is no need for any deals.
I am doing this because I feel like doing it, that's all, darling.
And because you asked me to explain everything, I will explain to you how the supernatural functions.
In exchange, you will tell me all about your experience with the supernatural, and you can leave out things if you don't want to describe, darling.
But I want to know the gist of it because the current vampires seem to forget the rules I have given to them.

As Caroline is a control freak, she thinks this is the best opportunity to obtain information about the supernatural when, in front of her, is a 1000-year-old vampire with experience. Whenever did she get lucky?
"You are very lucky, Caroline. No one living has knowledge about magic as much as my brother. And about the supernatural, even I am excited. It's been a thousand years since my brother is excited about magic."
"Ah, Bekah, since you started this, then I will explain the realm and breadth of what our mother did. You see, girls, magic exists in many different forms like nature, dark, healing, curses, and many more.
One of the most important among them is personal magic.
This is, for the lack of a better term, the breath of the world.
Every being is blessed with magic, but if that is true, then why not everyone is attuned to magic? Well, the reason being, when people in the beginning magic was used by utilizing blood magic and blood rituals and blood sacrifices, these people used these practices for a prosperity and good life for their proeny and their families.
So many people alienated themselves from these groups.
As the groups were a minority and the breath of the world was so clear, all beings could perceive the magic of the world. But as these humans stopped using magic, the magic of the world counterbalanced the situation by changing the nature of their connection to magic. I will explain in a bit about that later.
So, magic of self is essentially connected to the mind, body, and soul, and three is a very powerful number. I don't know what they call the term now, but I called them mystic channels. These are present throughout the—"
"The term you are thinking must be metaphysical, Kol," interrupted Caroline with a look of genuine interest.
"Ah, the metaphysical channels, then.
As I have explained, magic may be connected to mind, body, and soul. It remains above them. Soul generates magic and keeps on generating magic. As such, the soul is always pure.
Soul is the canvas, mind is the paint, and the brush is the body.
What you paint is what you get.
But all souls reincarnate.
During this process, magic is restarted.
Hence, there will always be a finite amount of magic an individual can cast.
The metaphysical channels have two components from what I discovered.
One is from your end, which is a blend of mental and physical representation, and the other comes from the soul.
As the soul is the generator for magic, it also is the vessel and the bridge of magic. Again, number 3.
So, any witch can use magic because they can connect with the frequency of magic of their soul, and the magic produced is used.
So, that is magic."
"Wow, "Caroline exclaims.
The implications of this.
" Then, Kol, do you mean everyone can practice magic?"
"Ah, that, darling, is where I told about nature counterbalancing individuals who were content with their life.
In the beginning, their metaphysical channels, and I mean their own side, not from the soul side, are at a complete different frequency.
And as such, they first have to identify or experiment with various frequencies.
These frequencies are not normal frequencies, as they are mystical in nature.
It can't be pursued by current science, but there was a brilliant scientist, Nikola Tesla.
He was someone I respected.
He got the idea that if you want to learn about the world, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration.
Such a fascinating human he was.
Anyway, as the metaphysical channels are essential channels, they are like rivers connecting to oceans.
As such, they can only pull up to a certain amount until they are strengthened.
Hence, magic is taught from an age where the younglings can perceive their magic.
But there is a type of idiotic practice among witches where they lock the perception of the child. Hence, the child can't feel their magic until it overcomes the seal.
This is an idiotic process done by covens to increase the strength of magic.
Now, why is this idiotic, girls?"
"I know this, brother."
"Go ahead, Bekah."
"In essence, as the magic keeps increasing, the child will not be able to perceive the amount they can draw safely.
As such, when they do overcome the seal, they already have so much power but they do not have control."
