"Is it your specialty to bring bad luck upon your troops with your random statements?" Arkin jeered.

"Are you crazy? This is very serious." Lidya squinted at the snowing sky. "...We'll reach the location where their portal opened soon, but I have no idea about the conditions in the mountains. We need to see for ourselves."

It was indeed a grave matter. The weather in Kolhis had suddenly shifted to colder temperatures despite the late spring season, the snow was accumulating, and as they approached the mountains, Lidya's earlier warning about the routes being blocked by snow was becoming a reality.

As Adela observed the troops she had gathered to rescue her son and thought about all the kingdoms that had answered her call, she couldn't help but wonder if any of them would reach their destination. Her contemplation was interrupted by a pitiful neigh which made her own mare grow restless.
