Chapter 7: Chapter 6
-Tatsumaki POV-
I was continuing my grind and I sensed a familiar Ki signature so I looked up and to my surprise it was Anais, while I had offered her the chance to stay around me for protection I had not expected her to come anytime soon and I sure as hell didn't expect her to come the very next day, I had thought that she would be too scared of me to come but this is a welcome surprise the sooner I can get her loyalty up the less I will have to do in the village before I leave.
Tatsumaki: "I didn't expect you to come today, thought you would be too afraid to. Feel free to get comfortable, do however try not to make too much of a racket as I need silence while I'm training"
I proceeded to continue my practice after hearing her give a silent acknowledgement, it was very low very difficult to notice had I not had my Ki running to enhance my senses as part of my practice, I wonder if I could increase the stats of my senses with the system.
It would be interesting to have my sense of taste enhanced, maybe I could create some sort of pseudo-God's tongue like Nakiri Erina from food wars. While I don't plan on becoming a chef I plan on living for a very long time and maybe even acquire immortality some day and as someone that plans on living like I king how can I allow myself to have anything but the best and if you want something done right you have to do it yourself.
I will probably have to come back to that thought later, I've noticed I have new thoughts on how to use my powers when around Anais I think it's a coincidence, but I don't have any reason to prove otherwise.
The hours passed and I had finished my session of training for the day, I was about to head back to the orphanage as the sun had started to set then I remembered that Anais was still around, it seems like she fell asleep Ughhh my body hurts all over and I don't want to carry her however if I do so and she finds out about it she will interpret it as me being caring and possibly increase her loyalty towards me.
I decided to have another peak at her stats just for the hell of it, I mean the system exists to be used so why not?

Interesting her luck changed and her loyalty towards me also increased somewhat, I can assume that offering protection made her feel safe and in turn due to her being safer her misfortune is less than it was before it seems the way we live our lives, and our environment are factors that can influence the value of our luck stats.
I went back to the orphanage with Anais on my back, when I got back the kids in the orphanage were giving me weird looks, but the matron seemed to give me a weird smile, while I didn't care about the way the kids looked at me, I felt somewhat embarrassed with the way the matron was smiling, I had goosebumps all over.
Life continued on for over 2 weeks with me training and Anais staying close by for protection, some of the other kids had tried to bully her around me but I made my stance clear that she was under my protection, I could tell my reputation with the kids had dropped while my reputation with the matron went up, she was willing to tolerate my constant need for more food better than she had before as for the kids why the heck should I care about them?
I proceeded with my training with my Ki as I was done with my exercise , and around when it was time to head back I felt it I had some sort of breakthrough, I ran the Ki around my body in a sort of cycle continuously and I felt some sort of breakthrough I immediately knew I could so a Ki blast, nothing significant but it was possible I didn't expect to be able to do it anytime soon, so I decided to have a look at my status

I noticed my Ki control went up without my adding points to it, my vitality went up most likely from all the training and my increased food intake and the most important change to me was my power level, it had gone up by 3 points which might not be significant to me since I have a system to help me grow but to normal humans it's the start of their escape from mediocrity.
I don't know if I'm being influenced by being in the body of a child but I couldn't wait to release my first ever Ki blast, I can finally do what I would always watch the z fighters do when watching from a screen I pointed my right arm towards the forest and started sending my Ki towards my palm and tried to shape it like an orb like they do in the anime and it was working, the color of my Ki blast is bright yellow I without wasting any time I tried to launch it far into the forest.
I learnt the hard way that anime and reality are completely different, the shockwave of the blast was intense, and I was unable to resist it, I normally wouldn't have had any problems, but I had used up all my energy by performing that Ki blast unfortunately while I wanted to use the minimum energy I had too little Ki to spare any.
I was blown away fortunately not too far and landed near Anais, I had completely forgotten she was near me due to my excitement using what was left of my energy I turned to her and saw she had a shocked and somewhat scared expression, but I was too tired to care about it, we needed to leave before the adults came to check out the explosion caused by my attack.
Tatsumaki: "Anais!"
My voice seems to have brought her focus back
Tatsumaki: "I don't have time to explain, but I ran out of energy and need your help getting back to the orphanage don't ask any questions ill explain everything later"
Fortunately she decided to listen and proceeded to drag me back to the orphanage, she seemed to be struggling a lot which kind of got on my nerves since I plan on having her around me once I get her loyalty up and change her looks, while it would be nice to have a beautiful girl around me I have no intention of carrying a glass cannon so I will also make her train when I have recovered.
