Chapter 245: Feels Familiar

The disadvantage of a priority escort back from the dockyard to the precinct was that it meant Kyle and Andrea had a lengthy wait in the interview room until Vargas finished with the scene. Kyle thought that the forensics in particular were a waste of time.

"What are they even going to find?" he asked. "Some Russian footprints, a little blood from Dominic's broken nose, a pool of my sweat and a dozen cigarettes Steel smoked after everything was over. Do they even know what they're going to be looking at?"

"Steel gave them a briefing," Andrea reassured him. "They'll have at least some idea."

"I guess at least everything they collect will be nice and fresh," he grumbled, knowing full well that there was always potential for something worthwhile.
