Chapter 12: Response and Setting Sail
As Dave asked this question, Xavier started to contemplate.
Before Xavier could go deep into thinking, Dave spoke:
Dave: "Take your time, this is not something you can answer in a moment."
Xavier: "Alright, I also need to find a place to rest."
Dave smirked and said: "Oh, you can go to Ron's Bar, there are rooms available."
Xavier really wanted to pummel him down to the ground but knew that was not possible without a fight.
Xavier headed to Ron's Bar along with Dave.
Xavier talked to Marie and got a room and went to it.
Xavier: {"From the way I see it, I will get a lot of connections through Revolutionary and can also be trained by Dragon, but Rayleigh will be better in terms of training not that Dragon is bad, it is more of experience. Rayleigh had fought countless battle alongside Roger, the king of Pirates. Rayleigh had battles with the present top marines way back, even Xebec and his Rocks Pirates. If I go by Dragon, I will be trained but I would have to follow certain rules in Revolutionary which is not something I like. I would have to take part in some missions, it will restrict my freedom."}
Xavier: {"Rayleigh will have his full concentration in my development whereas Dragon will not be there at all time and can only come in sometimes to teach me. I also have the Rokushiki and Haki Manual stored up in my mind and using that along with Rayleigh's teaching, I can reach more heights in it."}
Xavier: {"If I round it off, Rayleigh is the one I am going with."}
Xavier: {"I better try getting a Vivre Card from Dave if he has one, it will be useful if I want to meet him regarding anything."}
As Xavier was in his thoughts, outside it was different.

Marines
When the marines reached the abandoned building all they saw were burnt marks, blood, walls broken and the building close to collapsing.
Caine the Commander of the Marine base did not know what to do now. He had already contacted the headquarters stating The Pillager Pirates have come to Bluebird Island. Once this news was sent out, the Marine headquarters has deployed a Captain to get to the Bluebird Island to end the Pillager Pirates.
Now they see that the Pillager Pirates are no more.
The commander quickly ordered a Lieutenant to head back to the base to inform the Headquarters about the incident and they will get a report the next thing.
Caine: "Quickly go through the area for any clue. If any hostages are still there, getting them to safety is your top priority, if any of the members of the Pillagers Pirates still alive lock them up."
The Marines quickly started to go through the area and they returned with nothing but some papers and scraps left behind.
Caine: "Nothing. There is Nothing. Something must be left behind dig deeper; we have to report to the headquarters. If I don't figure out who did this we will have problems in the future."
The soldiers could not find anything and the commander was starting to go nuts. If he did not even know who did this, it will become a headache.
One soldier reported he found a paper with a list of names in it.
Caine ordered the soldiers to check any names match to any missing persons, or anyone on the island.
Caine: "If any of these names are in the island, I want to meet them. If they don't come tell them that they will be considered criminals."
Caine and the soldiers headed back to the marine base.
Caine made a call using Den-Den Mushi to the Captain who was ion the way here.
Captain asked him to report everything to him.
Caine: "Captain, when we reached there, there was no one in the area. All we could find were some burnt marks, blood, the collapsing building. When we searched the whole place we were able retrieve a paper with names on it. We are going through the missing reports to find any names that match with it or not. We are focusing on the missing names on the places and islands the Pillagers Pirates went."
Captain: "Get me the results. Figure out where the hostages are, we don't know whether they have escaped or again captive by some other group."
Caine: "Yes Captain. The Pillager Pirates ship is still here and I don't think anyone was left alive. We will go through the whole island again to see whether there are some who escaped from this, so we can interrogate them on what happened."
Captain: "Figure out who did this. I need a name."
Caine: "Yes Captain."
Caine proceeded to order all the marines on their tasks and report as soon as possible if they get any information.

City
The city was in a joyful mood, they were scared when the pirates first sailed here and also if the pirates kidnapped someone or not, they would not know what to do and would have to ask help from Ron or Marines.
Most of the hostages were from other island, only three to four of them were kidnapped from here.
They were glad that all of them were saved and was asked to keep a closed mouth if the Marines ask anything about it from Ron himself.
The people in the island respected Ron very much as he has protected them from many things.
Ron this time used Xavier whose name was not told to the people, saying that he sent him and many others to get rid of the Pillager Pirates and save the hostages.
Due to this, most if not all the people decided to keep their mouth shut about this matter and act as if no one was kidnapped from this place. Grace, her mother and three more were in the Ron's Bar to keep them safely out of Marines reach until this all goes down.
The rest were made as travelers who have reached the island few hours back. They were all nursed back to health by the Revolutionary.
The people on this island had no idea about the revolutionary members and their base here. These were hidden from them. They all thought that they were Ron's Personal Team taking care of the island and that is how even the Marines knew.

Back to Xavier
Xavier was on the brink of sleep when the door on his room was knocked.
Xavier got up and opened the door, one of the workers was standing out.
Worker 1: "Sir, would you like to have dinner here or in the bar?"
Xavier: "I will have it in the bar. I will have what I had in the afternoon, just make it thrice of it. I will be there in a few minutes."
The worker then left.
Xavier came out of the room and headed to the bar and when he was close to reach the bar, music and shouting was what he heard as all of them were having fun as the Pillager Pirates are no more.
Xavier entered the bar and went to the same spot and Dave was seated there as well.
Xavier: "I have decided not to join the revolutionary."
Dave knew that was the answer he was going to get and asked: "Care to tell the reason?"
Xavier: "To be frank, there is no reason, I already had a plan in my mind that I was going to do and I am planning not to change it. Though I would like to have some way of contact with you if that is possible."
Dave: "What are you going to do? Is it better than joining the revolutionary, getting trained by Dragon? From what I see you have a similar goal as us."
Xavier: "That's true, but right now it is not what I need."
Dave: "That's why you still want to have contact with the revolutionary, you are going for something like a partnership of sort."
Xavier nods his head.
The worker comes to place the dinner on the table.
Xavier who started to eat could see the face of Dave contemplating on what to do.
Dave: "I like you kid, you are probably thinking that I will be having thoughts of you being over confident, that's right but I can see the potential in you. I thought that if you join us and get trained by Dragon you will be much more powerful than you already are. To learn Haki not one but all three on your own is not something anyone can achieve. From the way I see it, you are going to go meet someone who will help you in advancing in it right? Hmm… the way you are sailing, you are planning to go to Sabaody Archipelago. I can only think of one, if I am not wrong you are planning to go meet The Dark King, Silvers Rayleigh."
Xavier was shocked but did not show it and smirked while eating.
Xavier: "Did not think you were one who uses his mind a lot."
Dave: "Everyone uses it, some dwells deep into it like me. I called for reinforcements not to help you, but to help the hostages, as I knew it will be over in 10 minutes and also to keep you as hidden as possible from Marines. You see the World Government considered us the worst criminals of this world, but you Xavier, I don't know why I feel this but you will be the Nightmare of them."
Dave: "Well let's not go there now, eat now and your choice of going to Rayleigh is also good. All I can hope is he trains you. Better have a good reason, he is not someone who will train all. "
Xavier: "Don't worry about that."
Dave then takes a card and hands it over to Xavier.
Dave: "Take this, it's my Vivre Card. If you want to meet me you know what to do and if Rayleigh decided not to do anything with you, you can return here and talk to Marie, she will do the necessary things."
Xavier takes the card and waves his left hand to Dave as Dave was leaving.
Xavier: {"Nightmare ha, well you can say it like that as well."}

Next Day
Xavier bought some food and clothes for his travels and decided to set sail.
When he reaches the deck, he could see Dave, Marie, Grace and her mother.
Grace ran towards him and jumped opening both her hands.
Xavier caught her and did a swirl before holding her in his arms.
Xavier could see how happy she was, this was what Xavier wanted for the world and yesterday was his first step.
Grace: "You will come back, right?" asked while about to burst into tears.
Xavier: "Yes, I will."
Xavier then kisses her forehead.
Marie then went forward to pick up Grace.
Marie: "Thank you for your help."
Xavier just nods his head.
Dave: "Careful out there. If you need anything you know what to do."
Xavier: "I know, thanks for the modification." looking at his ship.
Dave: "No problem."
Grace's mother steps forwards and bows.
Grace's mother: "Thank you for saving us."
Xavier: "I did it because I wanted to."
Xavier enters his ship and begin to sail.
