Chapter 4: Belly of The Beast

I don't know how it's been, wandering around in this disgusting place, eating the undigested food that fell down.

As it turns out that Cronus, now Kronos, had eaten both me and Hestia and I have been just laying in this acid for about 10 years ever since my birth.

I might have said that I am Hades when Hestia questioned me but I actuality I never intended to do that. I was about to speak my name and somehow I replied I was Hades. I didn't put much thought into it at that time cause I was distracted by a Goddess.

Later, we traveled to a more "Habitable" location to spend the rest of our days. We carved out a cave in the flesh of Kronos but it just kept regenerating, so in the spirit of compromise we took turns holding the cave open by using our bodies. And by turn I mean me cause my "toxic Masculinity" says so and I am the older brother.

While I was just standing there holding the carved out flesh in place and not let the wound close, I pondered on my situation, cause goddamnitt I had lived a life before or so I believe cause I frankly don't remember much about me and by all accounts I should be brain dead given the Isolation I went through in that state darkness but yet here I am. A completely sane God, well as much as a Greek God can be.

But who was that guy I saw a glimpse of and what is did he do to "Fix" me. Who knows?

—"-es!! HADES!!"

"Yeah Hestia, what happened?", a bit startled I asked Hestia who was sitting down in the cave.

—"Are you fine? You were looking a bit lost there. Want me take over now?", she asked I worry

'Ah Hestia, you really were the best God among the entire Greek Mythology.', since she came to know that I was just floating around in this disgusting bile of acid since birth, she been taking care of me and worrying over me constantly, "It's fine sister, I was just thinking how long we'll have to rot in this shit hole."

—"*sigh* It would have been all good if could use our powers.", Hestia answered, obviously saddened at the fact that there seems to be no hope for freedom and

longing for her mother who is still in the clutches of their tyrannical father.

"It would have still be inconsequential in front of the task ahead, the only way to freedom would be just tear out of the belly but we two don't have nearly enough power to accomplish such a task... and the alternative way would be just pass out of his—"

—"HADES!!! We aren't doing it and that's the end that discuss.", Hestia interrupted me completely shutting down any chance of letting that avenue of escape to be even allowed as a last resort.

"Well we actually can't do that as well. Our bodies are barely able to stand against the acid present here without us using our quite limited access to our powers.", she seemed sigh in relief at the fact that "that way" won't be used.

—"But brother I still don't understand how you survived the acid in your inanimate state?"

"I honestly don't how that happened but the fact of the matter is I can't do it anymore", I replied while dipping my foot down in the acid and the result being my toes just melting off, though they quickly regenerated.

—"Hey! Stop doing that.", Hestia came towards me and started tending to my foot which was promptly follow by a pinch on my waist, which honestly hurt a bit.

But our attention was attracted by the screams of of someone falling down headfirst into the acid, the splashes fell on my back as I was holding the opening of the carved out cavity.

We both left the cave in order to see who it was and man did I regret it. It was a woman with a kind of melted face but it healed and reveled another beautiful Goddess but it was ruined by the previous image I had of her... ughh.

"So who are you supposed to be?", helping her up I asked about her identity, though I had a sneaking suspicion who she is; and I wasn't wrong. It was Demeter.

She wasn't in all that much of talking mood given what had happened to her. So I just left her with Hestia and once again carved out a cave and allowed both them with me holding the opening in place.

Not much happened for a long long time, Demeter barely said anything to Hestia and absolutely nothing to me but atleast Hestia convinced her to wear clothes. I think she is really hurt by the whole "dad eating me and falling down in acid have my face melted off".

So I, in my generosity (ego) said that Demeter doesn't have to take turn holding the flesh in place and I took her shift while Hestia did her shift as well sometimes along with her own.

But yeah days were spent just like this. However, I started noticing that I felt less of a strain carrying the weight on my shoulders as time went on. My body was getting stronger in this harsh climate in order to survive. Though same could be said of both my sisters but compared to me, their improvements were miniscule.

Slowly but surely, Demeter started to open up to us and she was nice person but I saw hints of an unstable mentality. I think she won't recover from it but that begged the question of why was I able to recover?

Years passed just like that, I continuously grew stronger in that time but I still wasn't able to access my powers but I was no longer the only male in the belly of the beast.

Poseidon had now joined our survivor group and man he is fun to be around. He is funny bastard and helped alleviated the air of depression surrounding us.

Hera is such a bitch, I mean really. She annoys us so much. Instead of being the Goddess of family and women, she should be called the Goddess of Narcissism.

But it was the last arrival that I liked the most, a partially melted stone baby with some lingering power that dispersed and formed the image of Rhea.

She looked quite beat up, "Children I'm sorry for being so pathetic... at this point I don't think I'm even worth of being called a mother... Ironic that the Titan Goddess of Mother should fail at being a mother... but worry not my children... you all will soon be freed... Hades my child... I know that I have not right to ask this of you but would you give this failure of a mother a chance to redeem her mistakes?", soon after, it faded away.

I didn't know how to feel about it. It felt new to me and kind of jarring, I hadn't even seen her until now and in all honesty I could give two shitts about Kronos or Rhea and frankly any of my "siblings" except Hestia and Demeter and maybe Poseidon.

A/n:- Yo readers!! How's it hanging?

New chapter is hear and I know how impatient people are on this platform so I'm spoil some stuff here. If you don't want know just skip it.

Our MC has spent time in the "outer verse" as hardcore DC fan would recognise that survival outside the source wall is fuvking impossible but MC survived. But he wasn't unharmed his soul was shattered and he was driven insane. So as you already know the event that played out were set up by future Hades or Prime Hades if you will, with the oversight of the Presence. When exactly did the Prime Hades do it in the future timeline? Maybe in a "Crisis"? Who knows?.

Prime Hades used the emotional spectrum and his own power to "fix" the MC and helped merge him with the original Hades thus tying him to this Multiverse.

So some of you might ask well why was just lying there for 10 years? well he was in the outer verse since before creation I think 10 years of recovery is taking things too easy as it is.

Anyways if you still have any questions do ask them cause I'm quite hungover to remember a lot of stuff and I wrote this chapter when I was about to sleep. Leave your suggestions, criticism or corrections cause I'm not that great a writer.

P.S.

I changed my name cause apparently we are not supposed to use real names as account names 🤣🤣.

Bye.
