Chapter 9: An Adventure to Unknown

It was a sunny day in the neighborhood, and three boys could be seen sitting on pipes in the playground. They were engaged in an animated conversation, their voices filled with excitement and longing for adventure.

"Nobita, why don't you ask Doraemon to take us on an exciting adventure?" pleaded one of the boys, Suneo, his eyes filled with anticipation.

"Yes, Nobita, please ask Doraemon to take us somewhere far away from here. I'm tired of working day and night at the store. My mom won't give me a break," added Gian, hoping for a thrilling escape from their mundane lives.

Nobita, wearing a yellow shirt and blue shorts, listened intently to his friends' pleas. However, something had changed in him over the past three months. Previously, Gian and Suneo would have bullied Nobita into doing their bidding, but Nobita had proven his mettle by standing up to them. He had shown his strength by fending off Gian and Suneo's attempts to bully him and had earned their respect.

"Hmm, I will talk to Doraemon about it," Nobita replied, his eyes gleaming with newfound confidence, as he made his way home to find his robotic cat friend.

Once home, Nobita sought out Doraemon and shared his friends' desires for an adventure. To his delight, Doraemon revealed a small rocket and a receiver, exclaiming, "Well, I have just the gadget for that, Nobita!"

Doraemon explained that the rocket was equipped with a powerful camera that could capture images from all over the world. "We can select some interesting pictures of different places and visit them through Anywhere Door."

A gloomy aura surrounded Nobita as he replied "Doraemon, a total of 930 million will be clicked by satellite. If those will be printed it will be equivalent to 93,000 trees which are chopped down for that paper."

"Ah d-don't worry Nobita we will use hologram to see those pictures." Doraemon assured Nobita, knowing his concern about the environmental impact of printing so many pictures. Nobita's aura at that time was giving him chills.

Relieved by Doraemon's solution, Nobita's cheerful expression returned. With Doraemon preparing the rocket and scanning through the satellite images, Nobita's mother, Tamako Nobi, interrupted their conversation.

"Nobita, could you please pick up some groceries for me?" she asked, her tone filled with warmth.

"Sure, Mom. I'll go get them now," Nobita replied obediently, his sense of responsibility shining through.

Before leaving, Nobita requested Doraemon to launch the satellite and continue searching for interesting pictures. Eager to embark on their virtual adventures, Nobita made his way to the supermarket, passing by the playground where his friends usually played.

To his surprise, he noticed a box near the playground, and as he approached it, he discovered a pearly white dog wearing a pendant. An odd sense of déjà vu washed over him, but he pushed it aside to focus on the dog's condition. It was clear the dog hadn't eaten in days. Though pressed for time, Nobita couldn't bear to leave the poor creature hungry and alone.

Leaving the dog temporarily, Nobita hurried to the supermarket, quickly purchasing all the groceries on his mother's list. With some remaining money, he also bought a pack of sausages, intending to return and feed the hungry dog.

On his way back, Nobita stopped by the playground, where he found the dog waiting patiently. Smiling warmly, he opened the sausage pack and peeled one for the dog, making sure it could eat comfortably. Feeling a connection with the dog, he bid it farewell, promising to return soon.

Upon arriving home, Nobita handed the groceries to his mother, who expressed her gratitude. Excusing himself, he rushed upstairs to join Doraemon and explore the satellite pictures. However, before he could immerse himself in the virtual world, he heard a familiar bark.

"Doraemon, stop barking! You're a cat robot that looks like a raccoon, not a dog," Nobita playfully scolded, turning towards the sound.

Doraemon, puzzled, replied, "I'm not barking, Nobita." And as both of them turned around, they were taken aback to see the same pearly white dog, now wearing a green pendant, sitting innocently behind them.

Nobita's eyes widened in astonishment, realizing that the dog he had fed earlier had somehow made its way into his home.
