Chapter 24: The Guardians
it's been a week since Mark woke from his coma and talked with Allen, and now he had decided now was a good time for him to get back to training. This time however, with company. Mark and Eve both got up after another night of passionate sex, they showered together and got dressed before heading out.
" So, why are we going to the old hq again?"
Eve asked as Mark carried her in his arms in the air.
" Well, I had robot build me a gravity machine. To help me train and get stronger. And he built it in the old Teen Team's headquarters."
Mark explained to the woman.
" Ok, but why am I coming with you?"
Eve asked.
" Because I want to show off in front of you and second because I need someone to watch me just in case, I accidentally get injured."
Mark explained to the woman as they began lowering into the Base.
Once inside, Mark was surprised to see the lights were on and that the guardians of globe were inside training.
Noticing they had two new guests the guardians of the globe along with their two new recruits, Zandale or Bulletproof and the Immortal, all stopped their training exercise to greet Mark and Eve.
" Hello, invincible are you here for the chamber today?"
Robot asked.
" Uh yeah, we were. What are you guys doing here? I thought you were using the guardians Hq now."
Mark asked Robot as the team gathered around him.
" We have been using the team's old headquarters due to Warwomans corporation and Darkwing still owning the guardians Hq."
Robot explained to the man.
" I see, okay that makes sense. And i see you have some new faces. Or at least one new face."
Mark said to the man as he looked over at the immortal and bulletproof.
" Yes, we do. Invincible I'm sure you already know the Immortal. And this is Bulletproof. Supposedly he is as fast as red rush and nearly as invulnerable as you are."
Robot explained to Mark.
" And less evil."
Bulletproof said to the man as he stepped towards him menacingly.
" Okay! Okay. Tough guy settle down. I'm not here to fight you."
Mark told Bulletproof.
" So, robot do you mind if I use the chamber?"
Mark turned and asked the robot.
" Sure, go ahead. we weren't using it."
Robot replied as he gestured for Mark and Eve to go forward.
Eve Grabbed mark's hand as the two started walking towards the chamber. but as they passed Bulletproof and the immortal, the immortal put his hand on Mark's chest and pushed him back.
" What's your problem?"
Eve asked the man in disbelief.
The immortal and Bulletproof both walked up to Mark and got in his face.
" I don't care what Cecil says about you kid. I'll be watching you. It's been my experience that apples rarely fall far from the tree. You show one sign of changing, give me one inkling to think you're going to finish his mission."
The immortal was explaining to the mark.
" And we'll take you out."
Bulletproof exclaimed finishing the immortal's threat for him.
" I fought him. I fought my own dad. For all of you. To keep you all safe. And this is how you repay me? By threatening me? You're funny. Trust me when I say this. If I really wanted to follow my dad, nothing and I mean nothing you do will be able to stop me."
Mark replied to the two men.
" Is that a threat boy?"
The immortal asked.
Mark grit his teeth and punched the man in his face, breaking his jaw with ease and knocking the Immortal in the air. He grabbed the man by his leg and used him as a object to swat bulletproof away. he then did as his father did with Darkwing and slammed the immortal on the floor hard.
" You listen to me, and you listen good. I know how you came back. If I were to cut your head off as long as you could reattach it you could come back to life. Tell me Immortal, would there be anything left of you if I were to throw you into the sun? Now, i came here today because I needed to train. Why? My father isn't going to come back. But the viltrumites? Our people. They are. And they are going to send their strongest warriors to conqueror or destroy this planet. You saw how strong my dad was, there are viltrumites even stronger than him. So, to prepare for their arrival I need to focus. I need to concentrate, I don't need to be distracted with your bullshit."
Mark explained to the man who struggled to break free below him.
Mark let the man go only to slam his fist into the Immortal's head once again, knocking him out with ease.
" I could kill you. And it would be easy... But that's not me. I don't kill those who don't deserve it. And you don't deserve it. No matter how much you piss me off. Now, if no one else wants to threaten me I want to train today."
Mark exclaimed. He took Eve's hand again and stormed away from the group to train.
