Chapter 10: Chapter 10 - Visiting a different world.

Even though his hotel was in Tempest, Nahida was a little nervous. He was a normal human, after all. He hadn't been given powerful abilities like Rimuru or other protagonists.

But still, he wanted to do it.

He wanted to experience what the air of a different world was like. Everyone has had that urge, right? Have you ever imagined yourself in a different world and tried to imagine what the air was like, what the water was like, and what the people were like?

Was it that different from Earth?

He wanted to find that out today.

"I'll take some manga and novels, and..." Most were novels and battle shounen with low popularity because they were recent works. Nahida took ten manga and ten novels and put them in a bag.

He bought the first volume of 20 different works and would buy more volumes of the works that Rimuru liked.

"But before that, let's buy the new room."

[ Upgrade Points: +6 (26:12) ]

[ Upgrade Points: 254 ]

"A new room costs 200 points. Okay, system, buy a room." Nahida didn't know where the bedroom would appear and how everything would be done. He was rather curious.

And after he bought a new room, he received a message from the system.

[ You have acquired a new room! -200 ]

"Is it done?" Nahida tilted his head.

He left the bag with manga and novels on his bed and left the room. As he left, Rudeus, Eris, and Ruijerd were still sitting at the table but had already finished eating.

'The two men at that table have left. Now there is only him.' Only one man inside the hotel was part of Rimuru's world. If he left now, Nahida could not go to Rimuru's world.

But still, he wanted to check what had happened.

Upstairs, the corridor had increased in size, and a new door had appeared.

The door had not come with the upgrade, so it was just like the old doors. "Besides buying the new room, do I need to upgrade all? Do I have to do that every time? That's ridiculous."

But the room was there. That's what mattered.

Nahida entered the bedroom, and it was just like all the others. It had two beds, a desk, a closet, and a bathroom. "I'm curious to see the hotel from the outside. Has it grown?"

That had probably happened.

Nahida ran to his room and grabbed the bag, but when he returned to where the tables were, the man was no longer there. Rudeus, Eris, and Ruijerd looked at Nahida, and he just smiled.

'Damn.' But it didn't matter. He would have another chance later.

A few hours passed, and one of the guests returned to the hotel. Nahida, who was waiting in the lobby, didn't let him close the door. "Wait a minute." The man looked at Nahida, confused.

However, the merchant just shrugged and went upstairs.

"It's night. Maybe the time in Japan and here are synchronized." It was night in Japan, too, so the timezone was probably the same, which was surprising. "Right. Shelly, take care of the hotel while I'm gone."

"Huh? Are you going out? But it's not your world out there, you know?"

"I know. I want to go out and take a look at Rimuru's world. But I won't leave the city, don't worry." Nahida smiled and then took his first steps out of the hotel.

He was afraid to close the door, but he did so nonetheless.

To make sure he could get back, he opened the door again.

"Are you back?" When he saw Shelly, he breathed a sigh of relief. Nahida closed the door again and then turned around. He looked two ways. "So this is Tempest." The streets were paved, and the buildings were all very well built.

Nahida saw a few residents, and most of them were goblins. Some of them looked at him strangely, as if they were curious. Nahida just smiled at them and acted friendly.

"All right, where should I go?" Tempest was not a small place, and Nahida did not know precisely where Rimuru had placed his hotel. He didn't have the perfect map of Tempest in his mind, so it was challenging to locate himself.

"Right, let's head to the left."

Luckily for Nahida, there weren't many streets, so it wasn't difficult to walk around the city. But it was already night, so he feared people would treat him strangely. However, that didn't happen.

Everyone treated them with kindness.

All the monsters he met were very friendly, even if he was a human.

'They won't do anything as long as I don't do anything against them.' Nahida gave a smile and started searching for the place where Rimuru lived.

And it was pretty easy to find.

"It's easy when his house is so giant." It was very different from all the other houses in town. His was four times bigger. It could have been compared to a castle.

Nahida approached and found someone he hadn't expected to meet at the entrance.

'Souei.' He was much more "shady" than Nahida had imagined. However, even so, Nahida approached him.

"Excuse me?" Souei looked at Nahida, suspicious. "I'm looking for Rimuru. Could you tell him I'm here? I came to bring some things he asked me for." Nahida lifted the bag to show Souei.

Inside, there were some manga and novels. Nahida also brought two portable video games.

"Rimuru-sama asked you for these?"

"That's right. Please tell him I'm here to talk. I need to inform him about something. Ah, my name is Nahida."

"..." Then, Souei disappeared in front of Nahida's eyes.

"Wow..." Nahida said, surprised. His eyes were shining. It was the first time he had seen someone utilize magical abilities like that.
