Chapter 17: INTER-HIGH #3
She looked so worried, I held her hands tightly while I'm trimbling. That was a wrong idea, it was a wrong decision to take a look on the wallet.
This is making me more nervous than realizing that Leo was Dalia's fiance. I was blindly rushing out of the gym and unknowingly bumped into a guy.
"Oh my god!"
"Hey, sorry are you okay?" he apologize.
The man help me to stand up and reach for my hand. He's skin is very soft and I notice his birth marked in his left arm.
As I look up to him my world shortly paused as my heart cease to thump. Without words to say, I quickly pull my hand from his grasp.
"Lucia!" He shouted
"Lucy! Wait!" Leo shouted again.
Turning around hurriedly while walking towards the door of the gym to get out and didn't bother his calls.
I cursed my self for being stupid. Without looking at my back I know someone is following me.
I turned around and expecting it was Leo. My mind was pissed at him about those hurtful things he said about me before.
"Bullshit!" I shouted and kept on hitting him on his chest until I lose all the strength I have.
I felt his arms covered all my body. In short he hugged me.
I looked up to him with confusion. Only to realized, it was Elton who's standing in front of me.
"Same, I also hate that man." he said without emotions.
I let him hug me and grabbed his shirt and buried my face in his chest, my tears leaving stains.
After a while, the feeling of embarrassment washed over me. I slowly escaped from his embrace, daring not to look at him even as he calls out my name.
I took all my stuff from the classroom and promptly left the school. I drove back home, my mind wandering, trying to forget the pain I felt inside.
I got Ely from the babysitter and gave the sitter a break. I had some fun and played with my daughter; in a way that helped me calm my heart and mind
"Take some rest." I said in our babysitter.
She refuse on what I suggest to her but I insist that she can have some rest.
I carried Ely out from our room and put her in the carpet while shes practicing how to walk.
My mind still full of questions and worries. Everything is now getting worse, why is it like thi?
Before dinner I went to the nearest supermarket to buy some groceries and vegetables. Its already 6 in the evening and my parents are not yet home.
Maybe they knew that i'll be home early, due to the inter-high. I clean the fish before grilled it and cook some chicken.
My mind is still confuse but still trying not to act something. I put all the foods and went to Ely to change her clothes.
A few minutes of waiting passed when Mom and Dad arrived. I took their hands to pay respect and let them change their clothes.
I went to the comfort room to wash my face and comb my hair.
As soon as I went out of the room, I saw Lourie playing with my daughter. She probably just got home since she was still wearing his/her formal attire.
"Oh Lucy, you're early." Louri uttered.
When she saw me entering the living room she then kissed my cheeks.
"Yea, no classes ita inter-high." I answered.
She nodded and went inside to her room to change her clothes. The babysitter carried Ely and went closer to me so I can feed Ely with the food I am now eating. I
"By the way, Im going to visit Donya Dasha next month." Lourie said.
My mom reaction is casual while my dad is no comment. I think they know about it.
"When?" I ask.
Even though I ask it hesitating, then dont mind it. Lourie gave me a look before answering my question.
"This February 5, I planned to took up prosecution."
I formed "ohh" while nodding. That's her dream though, and she's conquering it little by little. I'm a bit shocked for her decision to visit our grandmother.
After sending my daughter to sleep, I went to talk with Lourie.
"Can we talk?" said in a small tone.
She stop reading a files of cases. I walk towards the glass doors of the terrace. She then followed me and we both stand while holding the railings.
I'm afraid to tell her about what happened these days. I sigh before I speak.
"I saw Leo." I uttered.
Even though I'm looking at her. I knew she was a bit shocked about what I've said.
"Or more like, we seen each other."
She remained quiet while I'm her still enumerating what happened. We both watch the colorful lights that covered the whole City.
"I also, see Dalia." she said.
I fixed my looks to her and still shocked. Of all the time, I thought I'm the only who saw Dalia.
"Yea, I accidentally see her wallet in our comfort room." My voice started to broke. Louri held my hand while she's still saying "everything will be okay."
"I also saw her in the church." Lourie voice out.
Im a bit shocked of what she confess. So she knew about Dalia's presence but didn't bothered to tell me.
Well, I cant put the fault to her, because shes thinking about my reaction. My heart keep beating so fats, yet my mind is dying while over thinking.
I cried everything towards my sister those pain that Leo gave me. Those memories that we had keeps on replaying in my mind. I cried them all to her.
I tried to keep it a secret to my parents to avoid conflict between them. I readied myself in case of seeing him again. Now that I found out that he is here in Italy.
