Chapter 20: Express yourself better!!!

Veru came back, with a shiny stone in his hands.

The stone was transparent, and inside it was a scenery one would find at the sea bed. It was vivid in color, covered by the arduous layer of a transparent sheet.

"....."

The happy, warm smile on his face vanished as he found Hina with Sanim near her; they two were holding each other's hand.

Veru's eyes turned hostile, as the smile turned to a frown.

Hina became delighted to find the boy came back and called him. "Veru, look here. Sanim came here to meet you."

Sanim fidgeted as she lowered her head and stared down at the ground.

'I am not letting them get too close.' Veru made a resolution, as he went towards the two girls.

"Hina, don't play jokes with me, " he looked at the black-haired girl and asked. "Tell me, why are you here? Are you lost again? If yes, then take a right turn and inform the guys who keep a check on the beach."

Sanim shivered and replied. "I… I wanted to talk with you and…."

Before she could even say something, Veru pulled her hand, interrupting her sentence as he separated the two.

"What do you need from me?"

Veru asked in a rude tone, giving constant glares to the red-eyed girl, who squeaked in an emotion Veru considered to be fear but wasn't.

"I… I w-wanted to p-p-play. I was alone in my house."

Sanim pulled her hands behind her back and in her nervousness.

Veru looked at Hina and sighed, and turned.

"I found this. This is for helping me that day." Veru's face reddened as he showed the transparent rock to Hina, who froze in shock.

Her blue pupils dilated, as he held the stone.

It was beautiful. The entire scenery of the deep-sea, filled with countless sponges and colorful weeds were inside it.

Though it looked like it was made by humans, it wasn't. It was an agate, to be specific a landscape agate.

Hina smiled as he held it near her chest, and thanked the green-haired boy.

Veru looked down, a hint of redness spread all over his face, which now was stiff.

"V-Veru, c-can I have one like that too?" Sanim's red eyes stretched in bewilderment, seeing the agate. "Please!"

"No, I don't have any more of it." Veru rejected her, making a victorious smile, which both the girls didn't notice.

Sanim's bright face withered as her face lowered down.

Hina when looked at the withered girl, her smile fainted, as she marched towards the girl, handing over the agate to her, she said. "Take this. I am sure that Veru wouldn't mind, right Veru?"

Though her face had a wide grin, her eyes said the opposite, and anyone other than Veru could read those eyes and conclude that the smile was unreal.

"..."

Veru looked at the strange behavior of the white-haired girl, he couldn't think of any reason other than the girl who came in between them.

Veru frowned.

"That was not for her!" He shouted.

Hina grinned. "Stop pretending, I already know of it."

Veru repeated himself, and at last, Hina stopped the conversation. "Okay, I get it. I believe you."

In spite of telling Hina repeatedly, she wouldn't believe her friend; for she could clearly see something was strange going between.

'He must have brought me here to ask me if it was good or not. Just why would he give me such a thing now? He clearly has given me no such things in the past.'

Veru had no idea what Hina was thinking, while Hina too had no idea about what Veru had in his mind.

The two misunderstood each other, leading to Sanim's current personality development.

"Thank you! Hina, " Sanim hugged Hina, as he rubbed the agate with her cheeks and continuously smiled looking at Veru.

Veru looked at Sanim hugging Hina, his eyes flared up in fuming rage.

Hina noticed his gaze, and let out a sigh.

"That's enough Sanim, else, God knows what would happen next, " she turned her face towards Veru and gave him a mischievous teasing smile.

Veru frowned and didn't vanish as he continued to glare at the black-haired girl.

~~~~
Hina stretched her hand as she yawned, and stared at the dark sky.
Hose looked at her bizarre face; Hina didn't know what kind of face she had, but Those who could, easily figured it out and let off a brief frown.
"So, Veru liked Sanim from the beginning, right?" asked Hose, to the white-haired girl who still kept staring at the sky filled with stars.
Hina turned her gaze towards the black-haired girl and replied to Hose in an apologetic tone. "Yes. Whenever Sanim came to us, he would freak out and start acting strange, he would lose his composure."
Hose looked towards the black-haired girl and smiled. "Yeah! He was such a fool."
Hina asked instantaneously, to which Hose replied in a mysterious voice.
"He should have expressed himself better."
