Chapter 8: Pre-Prom

As I was walking into the dance, I seen Christian and Khody talking. When I walked towards them, Christian seen me. I had a gut feeling that this was a bad idea. Christian said something to Khody, Khody looked at me, then Christian left, and Khody walked towards me. I felt like they were having a conversation that wasn't meant to be heard by anyone. We went inside because we were cold and wanted to talk and dance, but mainly because we were cold. We danced like no one was watching. When it ended, it only felt like 5 minutes. Khody walked me out but technically I walked him out because my mom wasn't there yet. He pulled me in close. As I felt the warm breath in the chilling weather. He pulled me closer. I felt like I was in a dream where I wasn't in control. As I opened my eyes, I realized we were kissing. I could still feel the tender kiss still lingering between us as we pulled apart.
