Chapter 2: PARTNER
I was not surprised when my background said that my family died in an unknown accident and that I disappeared a year ago. I was also not surprised when my background said that I lived in Metropolis and not Gotham. Well, at least on the outside I wasn't surprised, but mentally I was collapsing.
Black Canary was more surprised than I was, it was by my reaction to this news, rather than by my non-reaction, so she thought that she probably already knew all this information.
"Why did you disappear and how did you get to Gotham City?" Asked Black Canary puzzled.
"Do not know." It was what I wanted to say, but my body did its thing moving my shoulders.
'Maybe this will really start to bother me ...' I thought as I looked at Black Canary, who had veins popping out of her forehead.
"I probably have amnesia, I don't remember anything," I told Black Canary while she was getting annoyed by how I spoke to her.
"I see. Since there's not much I can do, I'd better take you to an orphanage or something. Get dressed and let's go." She told me while pointing to a new change of clothes.

Black Canary and I left the hospital in the direction of a good orphanage. At least I know she won't take me to an orphanage where something bad could happen to me ... 'It would be good to start making a life plan, but with so many possible universes I can be in ... The only thing I can do right now is to strengthen myself just in case and maybe when I grow up I will have a chance to survive in this crazy world. Although I have one thing for sure, I want to be a hero! '

As we walked, a building next to us exploded. Black Canary reacted quickly, deflecting the debris with her scream.

I was surprised but more surprised was Black Canary who saw how a simple child did the work of a hero. I knew that unlike a certain anime, here you don't need a license to be a hero, and anyone who could help would be thanked ... Well, sometimes.

"Put me on the ground," I told Black Canary to release me immediately.
"Good." Said Black Canary, who dropped me abruptly, of course, for some reason I fell to my feet like I was a gymnast.
'This body may not be trained, but Itachi's muscle memory seems to have transferred to me as well ...' I thought as I analyzed my own body.
After a while, the cops stopped talking to Black Canary, taking the suspects away. Black Canary approached me slowly. "It's time to go." She said as he started to walk in front of me.
"The orphanage is over there." It came out of my mouth ... As always, the result was different.
"The orphanage is out, I'll take you with me." She said as we walked.
'Where will it take me?' I asked myself mentally.

"Itachi, this is your new home." She said as he showed me an apartment. 'Pretty pretty for Gotham.' I thought while observing the entire area.
"What does it say? It's nice right?" I wonder Black Canary. 'Yes!' It was what crossed my mind. "I guess." It was what I said.
"You ... You have no manners or respect for anyone, do I?" Black Canary said with a vein on her forehead. 'I'm sorry!' I exclaimed mentally. "You understand quickly!" It came out of my mouth.
"Fine, whatever." She said as if she was tired. 'I guess I'm irritating ...' I thought through tears.
"I'll make lunch." Black Canary said.
After a while, she changed her clothes to that of a common civilian and began to make lunch.
"So what do you like?" Look at Black Canary. "What you prepare will be fine. I thank you in advance." It was what I said. For some reason, my body obeyed ... Well, almost but I really thanked him sincerely.
Black Canary smiled. "Good!" With that said, she started cooking. 'I thought I was more strict. Well, it may because I'm still a kid ...
After a few hours, we started eating. The moment I started eating the food prepared by Black Canary, I felt at home ... I guess it's a nice feeling.
"Itachi, do you want to be a hero?" Black Canary asked me with a serious look.
"It was in my plans," I replied. 'Fuck. If I keep using words like 'It was in my plans' She would think I was planning something bad or something like that ...' I was drowning in annoyance.
"Plans ... Well, I suppose you wanted from the beginning, otherwise you wouldn't have helped those children." She said while looking at the food.
"Hn." It was the only sound that came out of me. "Tell me, do you want to be my partner, Itachi?" She asked while looking at me with a smile.
My mind froze for an instant, but my body nodded.
