Mara Marielle's POV
PIPI PIPI PIPI CLICK
In a certain famous household, a young lady awoke from her slumber.
CLAP CLAP
She clapped her hands. Then, maids came out from the doors and started to undress her while also beginning to started to clothe her.
The maids turned her ruffled brunette hair into an immaculate and neat style. Her long brunette hair trickled down from behind her and into a side, while her bright blue eyes sparkled as she began to turn energetic.
"Hey Blanc, where is father?", She asked a young white haired maid this.
The maid responded, as is her duty to obey her master.
"Master Marielle is currently in his study.", She listlessly replied to her master.
"Oh, thank you.", She thanked.
As the young lady was fully dressed she began to exit her room. However, before she could she was tapped on the back, to which she turned around and raised her eyebrow to Blanc.
"Today at 7:30am please dress up and prepare to welcome Professor Ozpin from Beacon Academy.", She replied while closing her eyes.
"Ughhh... Is he trying to invite father into being a lie detector for him, again?", The young lady commented in a fed-up tone.
"Yes.", Blanc humbly replied.
The young lady sighed as she headed towards the library.
She opened the door only to see her big sister - who she nodded to in respect - and began to find a book which piqued her interest.
She roamed the library and found a particularly interesting book.
She grabbed a book out the case and sat down on a table. The book she picked out was called "Funny, sad and meaningful speeches and quotes".
Some of these quotes were particularly meaningful, an example of this was the quote from "One Lifetime, One Dream" which depicted what every person has once thought of. What everyone has once desired. What everyone has once dreamed off. The quote goes:
"Don't ask, what life you will discover,
Don't ask, how many different lovers,
Fat, thin, handsome, clever, each will find their home,
Success and fame, so what, the winds and clouds will still roam.
Drenched by the rain, my heart feels no wrong,
A drink of wine, sing a song,
A strong wind blows away all the schemes,
One lifetime, one dream!"
This quote struck the young lady's heart, as she once wanted to be far away from the schemes and plots people put her against herself.
The 'gatherings' that practically gather people considered 'wealthy' to wed them off to each other, the White Fang and their assassinations attempts, the discrimation against the Faunus. The young lady, wanted to be away from it all.
But, alas. Dreams never come true. The phrase "One Lifetime, One Dream" is truly accurate.
The young lady already has a dream. This dream stemmed from her childishness, her dream to become a Huntress. A dream she refuses to abandon.
When the young lady thought of her dream, she also though of her rival.
"Pyrrha Nikos...", She muttered the name of her rival.
No matter how much the young lady, no, Mara Marielle tries she can never beat Pyrrha of the Nikos family. Mara had come into 2nd place everytime when she participates against Pyrrha Nikos in the Mistral Regional Tournament.
BEEP... BEEP BEEP... BEEP...
Mara's alarm went off as she checked the time on her scroll.
"07:30am.", She muttered as she put the book away.
She looked around and saw that her big sister had already left, then she proceeded to exit the library and head to her bedroom.
Seeing that her maids were already waiting for her, she sighed.
Her maids began to put make up on her and then dressed her in a blue dress which complimented her eyes. Once it was 07:35 she headed to the meeting place - her garden - while sighing.
Seeing that her family - excluding herself - were already waiting on a white table for her, she sighed once again.
Once she sat down - after saying her pleasantries to her father, mother and sister - she began to listen to music with the earphones that were already attached to her scroll.
What Mara didn't notice was that the guest - Professor Ozpin - had arrived and just sat down, while he started talking to her father.
"Nice to meet you once again, Turquoise Marielle.", Ozpin shook the hand of the sole male Marielle family member.
"Likewise, Professor Ozpin.", Turquoise Marielle responded in kind.
The white haired man began talking to the blue eyed and brown haired man, in small gossips over tea. However, once they finished gossiping there was a certain silence. A silence that's always found in tense situations.
"So then what are you doing here, Oz?", Turquoise asked.
When the Marielle head asked this question, the dark eyed man became tense as he picked up his scroll and pressed a few buttons.
BZZZZZ
Soon after, Turquoise's scroll vibrated and he picked it up. After scrolling down the contents, his face became serious too.
"So, how much do you want?", He asked.
"I'm thinking around 50 fully-armed automatons.", He replied.
"Hmm... I'll see to it.", Turquoise thought for a while, but in the end decided to go through with it.
After a few more minutes, a comforting silence permeated the surroundings. They both began sipping the tea, as did everyone on the table - excluding Mara who was listening to music - and this all came to a halt when--
VROOOOOOOM
A blinding light eroded from thin air. Ozpin and Turquoise immediately kicked the table over grabbed the onlookers and dragged them behind the two.
Mara turned off her music and looked at the source of the disturbance and found that it was a sparkling light, that for some reason didn't damage the eyes but healed them instead.
Mara and everyone kept looking at the mysterious light and they all saw a figure. The figure was slightly muscular, seemed to have black hair and for some reason had bloodied clothes.
CRAAAASH
"W-what the...", Mara muttered absent-mindedly.
While everyone was in a daze, Turquoise shouted:
"Everyone, get behind me!"
