Jungkook had been in hospital now for two weeks. Jimin never left his side, only leaving to shower, change his clothes and buy things for Jungkook. Tae would sometimes drop in and give them updates on things (everything was usually normal) and check how they are doing, then leave. It became a routine. Jungkook started getting sick of the hospital and when he was allowed outside Jimin took him to the park next to the hospital and they walked there together.
"Hey... Jimin? When d'you think I'll be discharged..? I'm so sick of being hospitalised already." Jungkook mumbled, staring at the ground.
"Well... it may be soon seeing as they are letting you go out now. Don't worry, Kookie." Jimin replied, holding his hand tightly and smiling hopefully. Jungkook nodded his head and looked up, giving Jimin a half smile in return.
"I must admit.. it is really good to be outside again." He said.
"I bet it is, I can only imagine." Jimin replied, looking around at the vibrant trees. Autumn had rolled around and the ground was littered with red, orange and yellow leaves, the occasional green leaf lying somewhere. There was a soft, gentle breeze in the air but the sun was still shining. Despite acting strong for Jungkook, Jimin could not help but worry internally about everything that had happened. Two weeks had gone by and they still had no leads about the so called "DHS"; they had called him that since they had not discovered his name yet. Not only that, but weirdly enough they had not heard any incidences concerning DHS. Nothing had happened and they had not experienced any other attacks or anything like that. The peacefulness of it was almost unsettling. Still, Jimin wanted to take advantage of this newfound free time by spending as much time as he could with Jungkook. It had already been two months since they had been together and he wanted to stay with Jungkook as much as he could. He even took a break from work to focus on caring for Jungkook and being there for him.
"You know... you really didn't have to take a break from work just for me. I would have been fine." Jungkook said, appearing to have snapped out of a daze.
"I wanted to. I want to be with you, especially since you're recovering from a serious injury." Jimin said.
"Well, all right. I guess it's okay then." Jungkook grinned, secretly happy that Jimin was spending so much time with him. They both sat down on a bench and snuggled together, watching the brightly coloured autumn leaves fall, wondering how long this false peace would last.
