Chapter 1: Mysterious Marble

"Huh?"

Rogi muttered, his tired eyes fixated on the peculiar marble nestled in his hand.

He had hoped that this mysterious object would provide some answers, a connection to his forgotten past. But alas, it seemed like yet another disappointment.

With a heavy sigh, he closed his hand around the marble, feeling a deep sense of loss and isolation in this unfamiliar world.

Rogi had been reborn into the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, supposedly the secret son of Ogi Zenin and the unknown brother of Maki and Mai.

However, unlike his siblings, he possessed no curse energy or any special abilities like heavenly restriction.

When Rogi turned eighteen, Ogi had brought him to the Zenin clan, hoping that he would exhibit some sort of power. But when it became evident that Rogi was just a regular human.

After that, his father, Ogi had promptly expelled him from the clan, fearing that his son's presence would make him mad and he would kill his own son in his own hands for no reason, since he's such a waste of effort.

Left to fend for himself, Rogi found himself without family or friends to rely on.

Thankfully, he was given a substantial amount of money from his father, Ogi.

After all, Zenin clan are rich ass fellas.

It was this fortune that sustained him in his quest for a connection to his past.

During his search, Rogi stumbled upon an old house that bore a striking resemblance to his own from Earth.

It was there that he discovered the enigmatic marble now resting in his palm.

Dismissing it as useless, Rogi mumbled in frustration, recalling that he had found it in the same place where he had hidden his old PlayStation.

However, as Rogi attempted to flick the marble away, something inexplicable occurred.

The marble clung stubbornly to Rogi's hand, as if it had no intention of letting go.

This unexpected behavior left Rogi bewildered.

"What's going on?"

He muttered, a sense of impending danger creeping over him. He attempted to flick the marble away, but it remained firmly in place.

"Hey! This isn't funny!"

He grumbled, his face growing red and beads of sweat forming on his forehead.

Rogi was well aware of the perils that lurked in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen and the immense power held by curses.

Having once been a member of the Zenin clan, he had witnessed firsthand the consequences faced by the unprepared.

He had no desire to become a victim of the curse energy or spirits that saturated this realm.

Rogi's hands began to itch as he struggled to remove the enigmatic marble, but to his horror, it gradually started to sink into his skin.

Panic surged through him as he realized he was losing control over his own body.

"What the heck?"

He cried out, his eyes widening in fear. The marble appeared to possess a life of its own, as though devouring him from within.

"No! No! No!"

Rogi screamed as the marble vanished into his body.

He felt as though he were being torn apart internally, his mind and body wracked with excruciating pain.

After what seemed like an eternity, the agony subsided, leaving Rogi sprawled on the ground, gasping for breath.

"I need to do something, I can't just sleep. I have to take action..."

He muttered to himself, attempting to shake off the overwhelming sense of helplessness.

However, a few minutes later, exhaustion overcame him, and he succumbed to a deep slumber, emitting loud snores in the stillness of the night.

"Ogwaaaaaawoooookkk."

"Ogwaaaaaawoooookkk."

Suddenly, a street dog let out a long, mournful howl, breaking the silence.

"Awoooooooooo!!"

Not long after, Rogi found himself immersed in a dark and eerie realm, where nothing but pitch-blackness enveloped his surroundings.

Suddenly, he saw a square-shaped screen materialized before him, emanating a bright light that pierced through the darkness.

The screen displayed an introductory message that Rogi can read:

[ Our world, Earth, is home to a small population of cursed spirits—entities born from hatred, desires, or negative emotions.

[ However, there exists another world from which they originate, known as the cursed spirit world, teeming with diverse spirits. These beings go by various names, yet they all fall under the classification of cursed spirits—more potent and perilous in nature.

[ To some, they are parasites and bringers of calamity, but to sorcerers, they serve as allies, weapons, companions, and aids.

[ While some employ them for malevolent purposes, others utilize them to safeguard humanity. ]

As the voice ceased, the screen transitioned to another message:

] Please tell me, are you a boy or a girl? ]

Rogi understand that the system's inquiry seemed to be directed specifically at him

He glanced around, but the boundless darkness offered no tangible clues.

Swallowing hard, he gathered his courage and took a deep breath before responding.

"Boy."

The system asked another question.

[ Firstly, what is your name? ]

Rogi didn't want to give away his real name, so he took a moment before answering.

"StupidLove."

It was the username he used for playing games online.

Rogi had always found the name silly, but it was the first thing that came to his mind.

The system seemed to accept his response and asked another question.

[ Welcome, StupidLove. You have been selected to become the first sorcerer to explore the world of cursed spirits and fight against them.

[ Your journey will be challenging, but if StupidLove work hard and stay dedicated, StupidLove can become a great sorcerer. ]

Rogi was astonished. What was going on?

But he realized this might be his lucky break, so he decided not to ask too many questions and focus on what he could do.

He was a bit hesitant, but he knew he had to be determined.

This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity he had been dreaming of for twenty years, and he didn't want to squander it.

"Yes, I'm ready."

He replied with conviction.

[ Very well, StupidLove. ]

The system responded.

[ Your game will start now. Are you prepared? ]

As Rogi gazed at the screen, the air around him crackled with energy, and he suddenly heard the system's voice in his mind, demanding an answer.

[ What path do you wish to take, StupidLove? ]

It asked, presenting two options: become a Shinigami Ten Shadow Technique user or master the art of cursed spirit manipulation.

Rogi's mind raced as he tried to make sense of the situation.

He didn't fully understand what was happening, but the mention of the Ten Shadow Technique caught his attention.

It was the signature ability of his clan, the Zenin clan, and he felt a sense of pride swelling in his chest as he made his decision.

"I choose the Ten Shadow Technique."

He declared, feeling a surge of excitement at the prospect of mastering such a powerful technique.

However, the system's immediate response was not what he had hoped for.

[ Wait for the data to process... Error... Error... StupidLove's talent was too low and there can only one ten shadow user. However, the host will have a new shadow style depending on the users chosen beast. ]

The voice intoned, repeating the same message over and over again.

Rogi felt his excitement start to fade as he watched the screen in disbelief.

He wondered if there had been an error or glitch because his talent wasn't high enough.

What is this?

Is this for real?

Was he really not skilled enough to learn the Ten Shadow Technique?

Was this some kind of joke?

His disappointment was evident as the system announced that his low talent would limit his ability to learn the Ten Shadow Technique.

Although he was still being sent to the curse world, he couldn't help but feel let down.

"My Ten Shadow Technique!"

He muttered, tears welling up in his eyes.

But then, a sudden realization hit him, and he started to say.

"Holy sh-"

Before he could finish his sentence, the system interrupted him once again.

[ The player StupidLove will be sent to a random location. Please brace yourself, StupidLove, and try not to die too many times. ]

"What, try not to die?*

He asked with laced of confusion.

With a sudden jolt, Rogi felt himself being pulled through a portal.

The world around him distorted and blurred as he tumbled and spun through a cosmic maelstrom.

After what felt like an eternity, the chaos subsided, and Rogi found himself standing in a strange, unfamiliar place.

Suddenly, a notification appeared.

[ Ding! StupidLove was sent to the Flame Elemental Cursed Island. Do you want to swipe? ]
