Chapter 2: Enter: Himari Saito
Akio ran down the halls of the school trying to hold back his tears. Why was he crying? He can't even answer that question for you. Old man Watanabe was being nice for the first time and he just snapped at him. After Akio made it to the boys bathroom and reclaimed his composure he realized that he had no rights to yell at his elders like that and he promised himself that he would apologize to him when he comes to pick him up later. Well that is if he doesn't take revenge on him and makes him walk back to his house.
**Sigh** "Old man Watanabe please forgive me" Akio said as he walked out the bathroom praying that Mr. Watanabe doesn't decide to be petty.
"Did you guys have some kind of disagreement?" A gentle female voice said from behind of him.
"I know that voice" Akio thought happily.
"Himari!" He shouted blissfully with a smile on his face.
"Ohayō Akio-kun! Ogenkidesuka?" She said with a cheerful smile
"I truly hope she never meets aunt Yui, all they'd do is talk about teaching me Japanese the whole day." Akio thought as his enthusiasm began to die.
"That meant good morning, how are you? right?" He said in an unassured tone.
"Correct, now answer back before I decide to return your birthday gift before I even give it to you." She said with a gentle tone and that same cheerful smile
"I swear if I didn't have a thing for blondes I would've ghosted her already" Akio thought while he rolled his eyes.
"Ok I think it went something like: Genkidesu, Anata wa dōdesu ka?" He said with a very poor accent while stuttering.
"I guess that was good enough for today, but you really need to work on your accent!" Himari said while she reached for something in her pocket.
Himari pulled out a small package that was gift wrapped. Akio wasn't very impressed or happy because with his luck he thought that it was probably some flash cards to teach him some basic Japanese words.
"I don't want you to open it until we're at your house, ok?" Himari said after she gave Akio the gift.
"Umm yea su- WAIT DID YOU JUST SAY WE? AS IN US? AS IN ME AND YOU?" Akio yelled nervously.
"Quiet down! Yes I mean me and you! We need to go to your house for me to give you your second gift." She replied making the cutest face ever.
"Why do we need to be at my house?" Akio said with a very confused look on his face.
Himari get's on her toes and gives a Akio a kiss on the cheek.
"You'll see when we get there" She whispers then walks away.
"Oh I am totally getting laid today!" Akio thought as his enthusiasm began to build back up.
The Day went as usual. Akio starts with PE and then heads from the showers straight to the library. In there he was with the most beautiful teacher in the entire school, Ms. Sakura Nakamura. She was about 5'9 which was rare and had the most beautiful black hair and umm lets just say that whenever she moved around Akio was paying attention to her uhhhh, personality! Yea! Let's go with that. Today was a little bit different though. All Akio could think about was the kiss from earlier. The sun was especially warm today and the fan didn't help much.
"It was an extra warm day like today wasn't it? The day I met her." Akio thought as he began to think back to the beginning of the school year.
****FlashBack****
"Listen kid, I'm going to be at your house at 8 am and be at school at 20 past 3 PM on the dot. If you make me wait on you longer than 15 seconds your going to get an earful! Do you understand?" Mr. Watanabe said in a ferocious tone.
"Yes sir." Akio said damn near scared for his life.
"And if you cause trouble for your beautiful aunty I'll personally whoop your ass! Do you understand?"
"YES SIR!" Akio said even louder and even more scared.
"Good! Now get in there and make your aunt proud!" He said in a more encouraging tone.
"Yes sir!" Akio replied in a more motivated way.
Akio then got out of the taxi and walked into that school forgetting for just a moment that he was in a foreign country and enrolled in a foreign school. Of course after he couldn't make out what the signs meant he started panicking and got into a frenzy. While aimlessly running around like a chicken without a head, he accidentally tripped and fell onto someone. He instantly calmed down and went into somewhat of a push up position. His face less then a couple inches away from the face of one of the most beautiful girls he'd ever seen. Dark brown eyes, Platinum blonde hair, skin clear as a sunny day and as he likes to describe it: "The voice of an angel!".
"You know if you wanted a kiss you could've just asked me new boy." She said with a giggle followed by a warm smile.
It was that damn smile. So warm that it could melt a glacier in the arctic circle. It reminded Akio of his mother. After that his fate was sealed. He didn't know much but after that moment he knew he wanted to be by her side for as long as humanly possible. She told him her name was Himari Saito.
"EXCUSE ME MR. TAKAHASHI!" An angry female voice yelled.
****Back to the present****
Akio Snaps back to reality.
"Yes ma'am?" Akio asked as if he were paying attention.
"I get learning a brand new language is difficult and sometimes extremely boring, but if your going to catch up to your fellow students then you need to get your head out the clouds!" Ms. Nakamura said in a stern voice.
"Sorry ma'am I'll try harder!" He replied.
"That's good but for now class is over. You have english now I believe. The least you can do is excel in that!" She said trying to sound inspirational.
"Yes ma'am!" He replied.
The Japanese curriculum for english isn't that complex in comparison to the one Akio had in his old school so in the last month he already finished the assignments for half of the school year. It also helps that he was already great at english even back in America.
After english class he had a free period and decided to relax in the auditorium alone. The language barrier between him and the other students only made it possible for him to be friends with Himari. The most communication he's had with his classmates is when he helps them cheat on english quizzes from time to time.
When the free period ended Akio went back to Ms Nakamura's class to complete the rest of the day. When school ended he rushed outside to see if the taxi was there so he could apologize to Mr Watanabe. When he didn't see the car he noticed that he was 3 minutes early and decided to wait patiently until-
"Hey Akio!" Himari shouted as she jumped on his back.
