Chapter 2: Chapter 2: Meeting the original owner

Extreme anger, filled with grievances, and unwillingness to admit her transformation, she rushed toward the woman in the whole white universe, where a tiny peck could be observed. It was far, yet with her speed, she was able to reach within minutes. In her past life, she died as a virgin and had not even experienced her colorful youth. She knew it was very wrong to blame the woman for what happened to her. She died protecting someone she loved and saved many others, believing that because of her act, these victims would contribute more to society. She was convinced her death was worth it. She was merely embarrassed by her gender transformation; it was so advance that modern means wouldn't be able to discover the real root cause. But it was just to find a place to vent, not really harming others. Maybe offense, but no harm.

She was breath taken by the sight when she found the woman. The woman was definitely a warfighter, extremely tall and slender. She was around 1.8 meters tall and had a tone-shaped body. She wore a silver-gray-colored robe, which danced like silk to the music of the air, dangling in a wave. Her robe edge was trimmed in gold with some delicate curvy pattern, as if a sharp embroider had painted a powerful monument exuding the temperament of the aristocratic class. Now, she knew she could never offend this woman. Just her aura had diminished the prior arrogance and resistance built-up due to anger.

Behind her robe, she had an elegant quiver and a beautiful war bow about nearly her height. Underneath her robe, dressed in breastplate and short skirt armor, wearing high-heeled boots with shin guard protecting up to the knee, she stood valiantly like a Valkyrie. Every piece of equipment of hers was silver and seemed to be cast by mysterious golden runes, depicting profound cultures and histories behind. Sexy, promiscuous, glamorous, elegant, and beautiful were words suited for her description. She stood there silent with her eyes closed until the protagonist got closer, she opened her eyes, sea-blue along with silver hairline underneath the hood, emitting sharp intent and pressure— the impulse to surrender in front of her—and also some melancholy.

"I know what you seek for; I know what you felt. But first, listen to my explanation," she first explained not wanting others to interrupt, "Let me introduce myself. My name is Lireesa Windrunner. The head of the Windrunner family." The name Windrunner, brought familiarity from past life as if she had heard of it first-hand experience. This woman announced the surname Windrunner with zealous pride, with which her tone commemorated her family deeds and legends.

Suddenly it dawned a bright light bulb which hinted at the reason why she seemed intimate with this particular surname. In her past life, when pc games were not very famous and portable devices took control of the market, the only game that broke the record number of fans playing began with Warcraft I-III up to the World of Warcraft role-playing series.

Could it be the infamous Ranger family I know? Well, I know…she thought

"Yes. Exactly what you believe?" Lireesa interrupted her chain of thoughts. Now the female Jones was not amazed, Lireesa could read her mind. After all, they seemed to be together inside the soul world. Lireesa continued: "I am from the elf kingdom, Quel'Thalas, ranger-general whose position will be bestowed mostly from our Windrunner family by the Sunstrider royal family, aged around 2500 years old give or take. Our family fought against the trolls for many generations until my time, we were able to have the advantage to keep the whole kingdom relatively peaceful and away from trolls' aggression except for the border area. "

As soon as Jones heard about her race and age, she immediately noticed after careful scan, the long ears springing out from the head robe. Now she knew all legends about elves, any single ordinary elf could compete for modeling champion and possibly a real candidate. Not to mention, this goddess from the Windrunner family, Jones had never expected to converse with. However, she quickly remembered the true purpose she rushed to meet this woman, which was to ask whether she could change back to the original. So, she frankly questioned Lireesa.

In contrast to her expectations, Lireesa slowly shook her head and explained: "Jones, you are not in your original body, you are inside mine or should I say your soul entered my body when my mind was weak. So, you can never transform again. Congratulations you have become a woman." She mouthed those words with some bad taste.

Jones bitterly complained, fuck your congratulations! Why her last sentence sounds weird?

Lireesa ignored her puzzled expression and then said, "We lived in a world called Azeroth, where there are many races from elves, humans, and tauren to trolls and many other unknowns. It could be called a world of mystery."

Jones knew she had really entered the world of Warcraft or a new universe. Scientists in the past life have all agreed on one thing: there is never a single one like how they believe they were never alone in the universe. Similarly, they make a hypothesis that there is never one universe; there might be a parallel world or other worlds completely different from the original laws of the universe. Now it seems that their theories have been proven and they would probably be excited for new profound unlimited mysteries in this Warcraft universe, have they transmigrated like Jones? Jones might be satisfied if she could write this evidence and waited to be awarded the Noble Prize, but she couldn't return.

"It is the exact same world where you players tweaked and shaped our universe," said Lireesa. Although she muttered her words softly, her gentleness only brought a cold shiver down the spines for Jones.

Instinctively, without a slight hesitation, Jones argued for survival, "It is impossible for the beings outside a specific universe to intervene without some backlash. It might be true Azeroth inspired some writers outside its universe to depict some stories and the future. But I assure you, we never control you guys."

Of course, her theory was absolute nonsense, but no one knows and could defy it without substantial proof. As long as she didn't point it out specifically, it was the truth.

As expected, Lireesa eased her strict expression and replied, "It's okay. I felt unwilling when I thought I was just one of the characters being manipulated by your so-called writers." At the same time, she pulled off her hood and her beautiful face sparkled; she stroked her silver hair, combing with her slender mischievous fingers, twirling a few hairs.

She then asked after seeing Jones's speechless face, "Am I gorgeous?"

Jones nodded while her saliva drooped from the corner of her mouth. Lireesa's lip twitched and said, "Hey, we are the same gender what more do you expect." Jones woke up and remember her embarrassing moments; her face turn as red as tomatoes ripening. She recalled what Lireesa muttered with grievance and replied, "Actually, what's true will be true, what's false will be false; things exist because you think since wonders always manifested from desires. Therefore, what's important right now is what you really think. If you feel alive, you are alive as simple as that. Don't think too much."

Lireesa's face widened in astonishment and inexplicably said, "I never imagined you a child your age could say something so profound and enlighten my state of mind." Jones was ashamed; she plagiarized what sages in history had said and added her own meaning to it and never thought it was so profound.

When Lireesa mentioned the word "child" and regarded her as such, she immediately retorted: "I am over 22, already preparing to work and find a salary for my family. I am the adult who can independently think and decide my future." But what Lireesa said next really silenced her.

"Which child have you seen admitting themselves that they were just children no matter the age? They were always proud and arrogant. People who don't know the limit always thought they'd reached the limit," Lireesa laughed, "Not to mention when your age is compared to mine, it can only be a tiny fraction. Besides experience differences is the main reason. You also know in your world, 3 years of experience is a whole lot different from one year. So, imagine the amount of experience I have throughout my life from many small to large scale wars and the political arena fights which I abhorred in the Silvermoon Council."

Realizing that the two souls living inside a single body required a solution, Jones asked for some advice. Lireesa merely stated, one should live, and one should go. Afterward, Jones's face immediately turned ashen, unable to believe the two were in a life-or-death situation. She didn't want to kill not to mention she never had the ability or opportunity. The two souls comparing was like a child fighting with an adult. Noting her worry, Lireesa comforted, "Don't worry, if I wanna do it, that would've been done long ago. Honestly, I'd like to swallow your soul and memories to enhance myself and abolish any threats if I hadn't seen some fragments of your past-life memories."

She continued: "Your mysterious advice if I were with my own body could possibly increase my chances of rising to the legendary realm and allowing me to obtain my level as half-step legend. Well, anyway back to where we are: My guts tell me I shouldn't swallow you nor do my morals' standard allow me to do so, especially you. Yes, you. Don't show me your disbelief. I'm serious, your willingness to sacrifice truly touched me. Actually, my dear girl, that action was easier said than done. No one wants to die, I don't wanna die and you don't either."

Can you please stop referring to me as a girl, Jones only wanted to swear.

"Now that I know, I'm going to die anyway in the future. I'm also willing to give you my soul as in fusion. Just promise me you'll protect my Windrunner family and give my daughters the best." Listening to her last words, Jones felt extremely uncomfortable and asked, "Are there no other options?"

To which Lireesa shook her head and solemnly look into Jones' eyes for confirmation. Jones could only helplessly agree. Lireesa earnestly told Jones, "You are no longer Jones or the other you. Let the past be the past. Now you are me; you are now named Lireesa Windrunner." Next, Lireesa's phantom rushed into him unstoppably and combined into one. Fusion began. She only heard her whispers: "Don't be sad, I've lived for a long time. Well, longer than you anyway. My child, be brave you will do fine." With that, Jones's vision again turned dark and didn't have outside knowledge any further. Jones was powerless to complain, how many times had she entered the dark realm? She could only sign and chuckle out a bitter taste.

The way Jones died. Many cases like these happened in US.

It was always during the trough you always discovered the hidden nature of humanity. The bright and the dark.

Lireesa's character hard to find her on the internet though. It's now becoming my favorite goddess!
